Issue will Hall's. Great Technicians! Thank you Chris and Steve!! But, they had to make the hole bigger to get the old unit out. When all was done, they left a 1.5 to 2 in gap in my ceiling. U can see the insulation. I asked what can be done & I was told I will have to fix it, a 60 year old lady with bad shoulders, or hired a sheet rocker to fix it. After paying thousands of dollars to Hall's they can't fix this little issue? I even said I would paint over the new sheet rock. I know it took a little bit of extra time, but now I am paying Hall's $280 a year for 10 years maintenance fees inorder to keep the warranty, and Hall's can't tape up a 1.5in piece of sheet rock? read more

Called to have a quote done for insulation. The tech showed up over hour late with no phone call. Then the tech parks on the street in front of our house and waits for a minute before driving off. Never came up to the door or called. Guess they don't need business. read more

Called to schedule maintenance on the A/C unit (which Redding Comfort installed a few years ago) on Friday, June 29th. Appointment scheduled for Tuesday, July 3rd, 9-11 am. At 12:10 I called to find out where the serviceman was. The lady who answered the phone said she would try to call the technician and call me back. At 1:45 pm I called back (no phone call received) and was told that they still have not been able to contact the technician. After numerous phone calls and messages, still no call as to the status of the technician...not even an apology for NOT SHOWING UP OR CALLING...3 days AFTER my scheduled appointment! You won't stay in business when you treat your loyal customers like crap! We will take our business elsewhere!! **update 7/10/18**still never called me back! Now their phone has been disconnected...go figure! Oh well...had Allianz Heating & A/C service my unit yesterday & they will be our go-to company from now on. I had a handi-man do some bad work on my furnace and called Redding Comfort to come in what was the coldest part of our winter. John, the owner, responded quickly and had my heat working without any problems. I have no problem that it took a couple days to get all the work completed due to parts. The only complaint I have with this company is that I had arranged to make a payment to them after services were completed and I spent four days trying to get someone to answer the phone. I had originally not given this company a very good review, because of the things I was being told by my home warranty company, who turned out to be the source of the miscommunication. Even though communication was not as often as I would have liked, I am very thankful to have had John respond to our home warranty companies call. If I could give 10 stars I would. John from Redding Comfort Heating and Air has literally saved our bacon at least 4 times this year. I am renovating an older home with a unit that is on its last leg. He rebuilt our exterior ductwork in the middle summer after a new roof was installed, working well into dark to get us Air Conditioning in over 100 degree weather. I called several other companies and no one else would make time for us. John said he would be there, showed up, worked late, and got us Air Conditioning!! Fast forward to winter and we had to have him out twice to repair the same HVAC for heating issues. He is fast, has very fair pricing (not cheapest, not highest) and he is honest. I know I am going to have to get a new unit soon, but he is a SAINT for keeping us up and running while we save for the big expense. He also works magic with duct work. We needed a custom solution for our renovation in a tiny bathroom and had the creativity to make it work. My dad is a contractor and a perfectionist and is rarely impressed by much, but he gave John an A+ for his ability to figure out what we needed, make it happen, and do the job right. I think the negative reviews on here must be looking for larger companies who pay for extra office staff to manage call volumes. I think John takes all the calls himself so while he may not respond right when you call, he will show up when he says, will show up faster than other larger companies, and will fix what you need fixed. Honestly, if you are looking for an HVAC company, stop looking now and call John at Redding Comfort. read more

Experienced trouble with the furnace blower motor. Called Redding Comfort 3 times and wrote them an email, all with no response. All I got was a mailbox recording. Hard to deal with a company that doesn't answer their company phone. They did work for us prior with okay results, although the fan motor they installed only listed about 3 1/2 years. Called Hall's Heating and AC and they answered the phone and had a repair truck out within an hour to replace the fan motor. read more

Terrible customer service. My AC unit went down in the month of July shortly after this company installed a new thermostat for our unit. We left multiple messages and this company did not even grace us with a return phone call. No way to run a business or to treat a fellow community members! I am so grateful for the awesome technician Doug that came out to my house and tried to fixed my A/C. He was very delightful, funny, polite and has the cutest Texas accent that was enjoyable to hear. Thank you so very much for getting a technician out so quickly. It literally took about 2 hours for him to show up after I frantically called because I can't stand being HOT!!! Not only was the technician awesome the office staff (Jennifer) was on point. 2 ND review : had 2 technicians out again to try as resolve the AC issues. Technician didn't turn off my system and severally bent my fan blades. Other technician was in the house says he smells my fan burning and instantly says he needs to pull the motor and replace it and it would cost $759 just to pull it out for labor and then told us it would cost $50 lb for freon if he had to fill it up. Total rip off. My husband told him to beat feet and leave and we paid the service call fee. My husband pulled the motor out and took it to a motor shop and the motor is fine. So frustrated that these technicians don't know what they are doing and just want to charge me an arm and a leg. read more

We called Redding Comfort Air to fix our air conditioning unit during a hot streak. After calling four other local companies, they were the only ones in town with same day service. This surprised me, because all the other companies were at least six days out for appointments. When they arrived, they quickly diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and had it installed the next day. John was very informative regarding the problem and solution. John and his crew at Redding Comfort are absolutely wonderful!! First time we called was a few years ago on a holiday weekend. Not only were they the only HVAC company that even returned our call, they came out within an hour and they didn't charge an obscene rate because it was a holiday. It was an easy fix and we were feeling cool air on a very hot 100+ degree day. Second time out was a year later and on another hot holiday weekend. They came out and got us fixed up fairly quickly. Last time we called them, we needed a new system since ours was over 13 years old. John did the work himself and got us the best prices possible. He made sure all our paperwork was ready to present to the City for rebates. We were able to get $1200+ in rebates! In addition, John has kept us supplied with air filters and contacted us when we were a year out to give us our 1 year check up that was included in his service. Very impressed with the service we have received and his office staff in returning calls and making us feel important. My dad has his system replaced by another company about the same time we did and didn't ask who we used. He ended up paying almost $2000 more than we did for his unit! Ouch! I will continue to recommend Redding Comfort and use them for all our heating and air needs. read more
