Allianz came out in 1/2026 to repair our HVAC because the heating wasn't working. They found a spider had laid eggs in the pilot light area, cleaned it out and got it working. They only charged me an inspection fee for coming out to look at it. Then 7/2026 our AC in the unit wasn't getting cold. The repair person (Rick) found some insulation inside the unit wasn't getting cold blocking the fan and it was also low on refrigerant. I signed up for their twice a year service where they come out in the spring and fall to clean, check, and tune up the unit. That also gave me a discount on the service I'd just received! I can highly recommend their services not only for their quality and professionalism, but also the value! read more

We signed up for a year of maintenance and it started off nice. Our A/C unit inside was freezing up and we were quoted $500 to check for leaks. We had 2 service men , arrived on time and very professional.;however, when we had a second opinion they said our door needed a bigger vent, they repaired and fixed the problem. I paid the last 2 months by calling and canceled our contract. No sorry, no credit, no responsibility. That alone is why I give 1 star. read more

Heating maintenance visit February 2026: Shantel and Guillermo provided a very through and timely assessment and service operation. This included accessing the furnace/air handler through a closet, working in a very tight attic space, and vacuuming blown-in insulation that had fallen through the access opening. Two years ago last March I had Allianz install a new heating and air conditioning system in my home. Day before yesterday I started having problems with it. When I called them they informed me the parts were still under warranty, but not labor. I wasn't too worried about it thinking it was hopefully something small. The repairman took barely an hour and did have to replace a part. My bill was $441 for just labor. When I called their office to discuss this, this morning, the office girl informed me they charge per job on warranty work and this was their price. So this was a way for them getting around not charging me for parts under warranty. This is so wrong on every level. Please think twice before you hire this company... UPDATE- I just got a call from the general manager for Allianz Heating and Air. He not only apologized, but is going to credit my full bill back to me and give me a 10 year warranty on all parts and labor. Now that's good business practice. After a very disappointing experience with another HVAC company in Redding, I was lucky and found Allianz. Everyone has been incredibly responsive and helpful. Dan N. showed up on time and on the day scheduled, reviewed my issues and made several recommendations and gave solid advice. installation went very smoothly and I've been really happy with the AC during the summer. We couldn't do a real test of the heating unit when the outside temp was 110+. When the weather cooled off, it was apparent that the heating unit wasn't at 100%. Dan N. came to the house, tested and fixed the heater same day. He explained what needed to be adjusted and took care of the minor problem. I have a 4 year old unit that Allianz installed. Well it started having intermittent problems and was not cooling at those times. Allianz is so on it. They came out the first time about a month ago and did my regular tune up. Then it happened a second time this week. My unit would not cool below 84 degrees. Not only did Allianz get somebody out right away, but they sent 2 people saying it was unacceptable for us to be uncomfortable. This company gets a one-star rating because it is required to write a review. Allianz is a greedy rip off the customer kind of business. Not an unusual posture because many companies have raised prices and rates during our current rate of inflation simply out of greed, and for the same reason, this company is one to be avoided as we will do from here on out. They charged $433 dollars to install a small, warranted part in our heating/air-conditioning unit. It took minutes to diagnose the problem and not much longer to install the part, less than an hour altogether. So, if you calculate wages at say $30 per hour you might have to include his time driving to the site, nevertheless after paying for the employee Allianz made a huge profit at around 80+ percent of the money collected for or a one-hour job. They charged $79 to diagnose the problem then charged $354 for the install, sort of overlapping the initial charge and the repair charge and total time less than an hour. Many businesses do not charge to provide an estimate. Also, when the employee got off the roof there was a loud crash on the roof, apparently, he didn't reattach part of the unit. Then to top it off the Allianz employee was unable to get an internet signal to complete his billing so asked for our password for wi-fi, and was annoyed we wouldn't give it to him. Apparently, he couldn't complete his work without internet access, how dumb is that. Yes, we are all reliant on the internet, but we don't give out a password to anyone. Then the employee used a pen that had f---k you written on it, real professional. Back to the overcharge, I get it the company has overhead so needs to charge over and above the hourly rate for an employee; however, their charge for what we had done was way beyond overhead and some profit, it was inflated and grossly overcharged and pure greed. How does the average customer with an average salary pay for an inflated cost such as we experienced to replace a warranted part on a relatively new heating/air conditioning unit. It is a kind of scam when you find you are grossly over charged for a minor repair taking less than an hour. Then to add insult to injury we were given some trashy plans we could sign up for to receive regular visits from Allianz and they would gladly take a monthly fee from our bank account. This was disgusting, they must think customers are stupid to fall for such a ploy for them to make more money. read more

3:00 am and I was smelling an odd smell coming from my heating unit. Since I'd just had the motor replaced a few days before, I was concerned. I called Allianz Heating and Air, and Wow! Dan and Alex came out, took everything apart to check the unit, and checked the air flow at each vent and through the filter. Happily, there was nothing going on with my unit - it must have been a neighbor's fireplace smoke I was smelling. Great company! When our HVAC quit working last summer during the 112 degree period in June, Allianz was on it, getting a new unit installed. They even loaned us (free of charge) a portable swamp cooler hill we made the decision on which unit to install and waiting for it to arrive. I also installed a NEST thermostat which I wired incorrectly, causing the heat pump not to work. They came out and diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and charged me nothing. Rob was our technician. I've used them twice. After yesterday I recommend everyone avoid them at all costs. $171 charge and my AC doesn't work and they refuse to fix it. Very rude officer person when I called to say the AC still didn't work after the service call. Technician wouldn't listen to me. Wouldn't help me. We requested a specific technician that our friend assured us was honest and reliable. They didn't send him. The first time I used them I had to replace the part they replaced 8 months later because according to the tech from the other company the wires were left long enough to get sucked into the fan and destroyed. Wouldn't have called them back if a friend hadn't referred us to his friend who works here. Wish I wouldn't have wasted my money on them. Was looking into getting insulation added to our home as the utility Bill's seemed to keep getting higher every month and knowing our home was older there wasn't much in the attic anymore. I have used martin and his crew for years to service our unit and always had a great experience, but insulation is something I could do but really didnt want to. Martin came out and gave us an estimate to bring it up high enough to get the rebate through city of redding, seeing as me and my wife both work it was difficult to get it done with a time that worked for us. The 2 Technicians that came out to add the insulation, were cody and tanner. Both of them were very friendly, looked at the job prior to starting to make sure they didnt need anything before they got started. By the time they got there, to the time they left was only a couple hours, and they left no signs of them being there in the house. Our unit is kicking on a lot less than it did before, and seeing as I used to have r-11 in the attic, bringing it up to what u should have would have probably took me all day and having to run around to get the machine I would have rented back and hopefully I bought enough. Overall it was another very good experience from crew, I'd wait a little longer if these guys were busy to fix an issue for the fact they are always professional and never had to have them come back to fix anything twice. read more

Our experience with Martin Graeff and the staff of Allianz was 100% positive. We had settled on another company but knew it was wise to get a second opinion. The huge number of positive reviews at Angie's List made us choose Allianz. We immediately learned a lot about HVAC units, but also the connections to the duct work. I actually expected a high price for this kind of knowledge and service, but we got a better deal than expected, and less than the other business quoted us. It was cold last night. I don't do great in the cold. My chubby poodle does not like the cold. We got tired of our poodle sitting in front of the space heater and taking up all of the heat, so we called Allianz. First off, the young lady who answered the phone was polite, patient and asked all of the right questions. At first there were some scheduling conflicts, but she said that she could get someone out the same day. VERY EASY to talk to! Later on, the young lady called and let me know that the technician , Robb, would be out shortly. I'm only good at a few things in life and HVAC is definitely not one of them. I know less than nothing about the subject. Robb could have told me that Larry the Magic HVAC Goblin had turned off the mystical AC valve and I would not have known the difference. Long story short, there was one tiny little adjustment that needed to be done, and boom Robb was out the door to save someone else's day. Robb the technician was EXTREMELY personable, polite and professional. He took the time to explain everything in simple terms. While I didn't have the most technical issue, Robb didn't talk down or make me feel like a moron since it was such minor issue. Theses are the HVAC people you are looking for. read more

Allianz responded to my review and asked for the details of my complaints. They subsequently agreed with my assessment of the situation and took remedial action with their employee. We agreed that the tech did not give me the correct information regarding my existing unit and that it was more of an oversight than a sales tactic. I am satisfied with their response and action and might use them in the future. They still need to work on the customer service communication part of their business though. read more

Of course, our HVAC decides to quit on a day that turns out to be 106 degrees. Three other companies could not get to us for at least four days. Allianz was not only able to come out the same day, Tom was able to diagnose the problem within minutes and correct the issue. No heavy handed service contract offers or other upgrade suggestions.
