This company I would not recommend because they did not do a good job the first time and I…read morecomplained to Kathleen the owner about it and she sent the crew back out to fix it and found the crew to be very rude like they were unhappy that they had to come back out. If they would of done the job right the first time then they would not of had to come back out. They arrived on Monday 4/5/21 at noon when they were supposed to be here in the morning and the excuse that I got is that they were coming from Chico and there was an accident on the road. So OK, they get here and they start taping the plastic up for the protection of the walls and floor and after they got all the plastic up they left by 3:30 to return the next morning to start insulation. They had not been gone more then 30 min. When piece by piece the plastic that they had just put up started falling down and but the time I got up the next morning ALL of the plastic that they had put up the day before was down on the floor so when they arrived at 10am they had to take the time before starting the insulation to re-tape up all the plastic that they had put up the day before. So Jesus showed up and had the guys get a hotel room in town so that they did not have to travel so far and they could start getting here earlier. During the the time of them being here my daughter was calling and talking to Jesus regarding stuff that was not being done right being that they were not going to be shaving down the insulation and Jesus said that that was not discussed and would not be done and we said that it was discussed and it needed to be done for us to put up sheet rock so he came out here again and talked to the guys and told them to do the shaving. They finall finished up on Sat. 4/10/21 and after they left we noticed that the shaving had not been done properly so I called and talked to Kathleen and she had me send her pics of it and one of the things that stands out that she had asked me was that was I not happy with the look of it for cosmetic reasons or because we are going to put sheet rock up there....WOWWWWW really, I said I am paying almost $12,000. For this and I expect it to be done the right way. She agreed to send the crew back out to finish it the right way so that is when they showed up they were on the rude side except for the one guys Manny that was not here for the install part so he did all the talking for the other guy (can't remember his name) that was the guy that actually did the spraying of the insulation the first time. They started putting all the plastic down again and started doing the shaving and a couple of hrs into it Jesus showed up in his work clothes and started helping them. My daughter and I walked over and stood out on the porch to talk to Jesus and he just totally ignored us so we went back over to the other house and when they were done he waved for me to come over and do the final inspection. It was a lot better and I told Jesus that if it would of been done right the first time then they would not of had to come back. He then asked me for the check for the payment and I said that I would send it in the mail and he said that Kathleen told him to pick it up and I told him that I would not give it to him but I would send it in the mail so he got pissed and called Kathleen and pulled his guys out of the house that were finishing up cleaning and they all got into their trucks and left. My daughter and I came back to the house and all the plastic that was covering my furniture with all the shavings on it were still there on my furniture so we had to take it off and had one hell of a mess that they should of cleaned up but Jesus got a attitude and left without saying another word to us. I would say, they did an excellent job - Starting with Jeremy, who accommodated my schedule for preliminary inspect and gave me a on the spot quote. Elder and the guys did an excellent job in covering up the entire house and finished the job in 2 days. My house had no insulation in the walls- to very less in the attic. After the insulation my Heat as well as Cold is retained inside the house. Heat turns on once in a 24 Hr cycle vs multiple times in an hour previously. If you are thinking of in wall insulation, it's totally worth it. The quote was the most competitive and they were very flexible. I am still closing out the multiple holes in the wall, will take time as i prefer to do it myself- I had plans to paint anyway .

I was initially impressed with what seemed like a thorough and well-considered estimate. It felt…read morelike the team really evaluated my attic and cooling needs. The addition of two QuietCool fans also seemed like a major plus, as I was already familiar with the product and expected it would significantly help with cooling. When it came to the insulation work, I was very pleased. The crew did an excellent job removing the old insulation and installing the new. They worked efficiently, protected my floors well, and ensured that no insulation debris entered the living areas. That part of the job was handled professionally. However, I was less impressed with the radiant barrier installation. This may partly be due to a misunderstanding on my end, as I expected a different type of material, but the end result did not meet my expectations. The biggest issue, unfortunately, was the installation of the fans. At best, it was very poorly executed. The fans are 16" units with 12" duct openings, yet they were installed directly against the gables, which severely restricts airflow. Proper installation should have included a box or shroud to help direct airflow effectively through the fans. Because of this poor airflow, the fans do not cool the attic--in fact, they appear to make things worse. I can actually watch the temperature on the thermostat increase when the fans are turned on. I reached out to my representative multiple times, but the response was disappointing. I was told they could not take the fans back, and when I asked why the attic temperature increases when they are running, I was told there was no explanation and nothing further could be done. As temperatures continue to rise, I'm left frustrated that I spent $1,200 on two fans that perform the opposite of what was promised, with no meaningful support or resolution offered. UPDATE: After posting my initial review, I was contacted by both the project manager and the owner. I reiterated the reasons for my frustration, explaining that my review reflected my honest impression of what I saw as a lack of clear communication and effective management of the project and customer expectations. The project manager apologized for the communication breakdown and asked if I would be open to giving them an opportunity to make things right. A technician was then sent out, and he took the time to fully understand the issue, carefully examine the installation, and make several adjustments to the original work. He believes these changes will help improve airflow in the attic. Since my attic has some unique characteristics, he also provided helpful suggestions for additional ways to improve cooling and airflow--something I feel should have been addressed during the initial planning stage of the project. Whether these changes will result in significant improvement remains to be seen; I'll have a better sense once the weather warms up. I do appreciate the follow-up and the willingness of the project manager to reach out and try to make things right, and I have updated my review accordingly. That said, I want to be clear that the increase in my rating is largely due to the technician and the time he invested in evaluating the full situation, as well as both implementing and proposing thoughtful solutions.

I researched options for insulating our crawl space and Al was highly responsive and provided us with an estimate that was very competitive. Service was timely and everything was well communicated. After the fact we discovered our recently installed water shutoff valve had been affected by the insulation (not his fault, I had never mentioned it) and Al was super communicative, after helping me trouble shoot a few options he came back to our place and fixed the issue, freeing up the pipe. I didn't have to ask and he didn't charge me a thing for the follow up work. Would use them again for any future insulation work and highly recommend to anyone looking for the same.

But even after cleaning it out, the smell wasn't going away. Then the vent started giving off either smoke or steam, and in a panic I immediately turned off the dryer. Thank God I didn't start a dryer fire. The second I shut it off and made sure everything was ok, I opened Yelp and searched for a dryer vent cleaner. Chris's Insulation came up, he had great ratings, he was super close by, so after calling a different service and going to voicemail, I called Chris. Chris picked up after the second ring. When I told him that I needed someone to clean our dryer vent and what had happened, he said he could come out either between 5:00 and 6:00 pm that evening or the next day. It was already mid-afternoon when I called, so I was surprised to hear him say he could still come out same-day, but I decided to have him do that since I was free and also still a little shaky following what happened with the vent either smoking or steaming. Chris showed up during the window he quoted and wasted no time getting to work. He started the second he arrived and was done within the hour. His pricing was incredibly reasonable and fair and so far, in the couple of weeks since he was here, we've had no issues with the dryer. Before he left, he also sent us a ton of pictures of what the vent looked like post-cleaning. Super happy and relieved.

It's been about a month since Evergreen (Ruben and his crew) installed new insulation in our 1950s…read morehome. And get this, we've only turned on the AC once (in the late spring we would have turned on the AC at least a few times). Of the other insulation companies I had contacted in the Sacramento area, Evergreen was the most prompt and professional. We needed new insulation for our crawlspace and updated insulation in our attic as recommended by a home inspector/structural engineer. We're glad we did because it feels less drafty in our home and the southwest corner of our house no longer bakes in the afternoon. My husband was very pleased when working with Ruben. Ruben clearly explained the issues in our attic i.e. accumulated heat, lacked ventilation, and the 70 year insulation had deteriorated, and made suggestions on what could be done. We were given multiple quotes to work within our budget. We are very happy with Ruben and crew's work as it is held to a very high standard. As a bonus, the crew vacuumed our garage because it was being used for equipment storage. They left it cleaner than when them came.
