May 2024 - Sergio and his crew did such an amazing job on the interior of my home, it was a no-brainer to have them back to complete the exterior of my home. He and his crew are extremely thorough. My house required 3 days of prep before a single drop of paint could be added. They made sure to protect my plants, camera, and lights, and were again super friendly and professional. He and his crew are the experts on anything to do with paint and I would highly recommend him to anybody that has painting needs. He may be a bit more expensive than other companies, but he is worth every penny! read more

After Sergio did a fantastic job painting our front door 4 years ago, we of course went back to him for a complete exterior job. His bid was fair and very thorough. He explained everything he and his crew would do and made sure we understood the entire process. When it came time to start the job, they were very careful with our yard and all the plantings that are close to the house. They prepped the areas on the body of the house that had not been properly done before the previous paint job, and all that work paid off tremendously - the house looks sooooo good! They transformed our spot on the block from drab to stunning! We absolutely love it. When the job was complete they cleaned up everything, leaving no trace they had ever been there. I can wholeheartedly recommend Sergio and SM Painting! read more

SM painting did a tremendous job. We could have not been happier with the way it came out. They showed up on time everyday. Which is a big deal for me. They not only went above and beyond. They helped put up our blinds, gave up tips on future jobs. I can say hands down SM painting is one of the best companies to do business with. They were super professional, had great customer service, and immaculate job. The price was not outrageous for what you get. They came out gave us a bid. Shortly after a contract was written up. Detailing exactly what I was going to get. Then after that I was put on the schedule to start the job. I highly recommend them! They are now the only painters I will hire because they are simply the BEST! Everything they did was of the highest quality from prep to paint to finish and clean up. read more

I called for an estimate on painting all of our outside trim/wood as well as gutters. The owner Sergio came out and after looking at our wood and the issues that I pointed out he told me confidently that we didn't need to have all of our wood painted. We talked about all and he even wrote out for me what I needed to do (power wash, scrap and prime those few raw areas, what paint to get) and he even told me how and where to get my paint matched. I can't yet speak of the quality of his work however I can speak of his honesty and integrity and I am convinced that he cares about his customers and does quality work and I will most definitely be calling him for any other painting that we need. read more

We had our home's exterior painted this summer by SM Painting and could not be more pleased! First of all, Sergio's quote was competitive, fair, and prompt. Also, our home is 120 years old, with over a century's worth of old paint, wear and tear, and weathering. It was not an easy job. We were SO happy with the thorough and meticulous job with the prep work (sanding, pressure washing, scraping, etc.). It laid the foundation for a beautiful, quality finished product. We also had some construction on our home at the same time and SM Painting's communication and flexibility working along side other contractors was impressive. All in all, we would recommend SM Painting to anyone and they will definitely be our first call for any future projects! read more

S&M painted the exterior of our home this past Summer. The result far exceeded my expectations and my wife and I couldn't be happier. I recently ran into the owner of S&M Painting, Sergio, and we got to talking about an interior project I was struggling with. He offered to look at the job and graciously offered to help me finish! Who does that? Sergio did which is why he comes with the highest recommendation! read more

Fantastic work- NO detail is overlooked. He will continue to earn my business because of this. Thank you!

My family and I recently bought a house and the only thing we didn't like was the exterior color. When we decided to hire a painter, I did my research and had a couple different companies give us bids. The owner of SM, Sergio, was the only one who told us the existing paint was in good shape and it didn't NEED to be painted. Right then I knew SM was the company to hire because of Sergio's honesty and the fact that he put our best interest above just business. Once I told him it was just a cosmetic choice, he was supportive and excited about getting us a color we loved. He sent me multiple projects he had done in the color palette I liked for inspiration, since I was so indecisive. Eventually, he helped me pick the perfect shade of gray to go with the existing trim. As the project got going, I realized my garage doors also needed a fresh coat, so Sergio did that too just to ensure I was happy with the final outcome. Not only was Sergio awesome to work with, his painting crew was awesome, as well. They were so respectful of our family's needs and our property. They were detail oriented before, during, and after the project. They even worked hard at getting all my solar lights and plants back to their original places in the yard after painting. Wonderful customer service and all around hardworking and kind people! Now I absolutely LOVE driving up to my house! The color is perfect! For quality paint and quality service, I highly recommend Sergio and his crew at SM Painting! read more

Sergio is a hard working guy who provides great service in a professional manner!!! He can be trusted to handle all your paining needs.

I am a victim of the Camp fire and after 11 months of living in my little travel trailer with two dogs, I decided not to wait to rebuild and bought a house. The entire house required interior painting and my realtor recommended SM Painting. I met with Sergio and was instantly impressed with his professionalism and thoroughness. He said it would take a week and was done in six days. He is detail oriented as am I, so I knew he would provide a quality finished product. I was so impressed when we did the final walk through that I cried!!! His work is premium and his cost is very fair and justified for the quality!! I plan to use him again in the spring for the exterior paint update of my house. I HIGHLY recommend SM Painting!!! read more

I was very I am very happy with the services I received from Sergio owner of SM painting. To say that Sergio went above and beyond is an understatement. Not only did he provide me with a free estimate make good suggestions, but when he was completing the painting job and he noticed a problem with my baseboards or loose stair railings he would contact me and in the end fix them with no extra charge. I had a problem with the baseboard that was deteriorating and he replaced it and did not charge me extra for that. Any additional small fixes that he did again I was not charged extra. Sergio was polite respectful and in constant communication with me. He didn't charge until the job was finished and I was more than completely satisfied. I would recommend Sergio to any and all friends and family members. I am new to homeownership until very lucky to have had such a positive and productive experience. read more

We had recently moved here , had our exterior painted by friends of our real estate agent and were very pleased but budget became an issue and we needed to get other viewpoints and estimates plus timing all the other projects together. Sergio responded to our yelp inquiry and scheduled an apt with us. He arrived on time, was very very professional and insightful. Very friendly and easy to communicate with. He gave us a few options on what we needed to do. After consideration, Husband and brother in law decided they would tackle the job, but then decided to stick with exterior guy. If you call on Sergio you will be met with the utmost professionalism, he is very detailed oriented and organized. Though we never got down to the quote, I know his pricing was to be fair and accurate. I have ready recommended him to another family and if ever we need him in the future absolutely we will call him! Thank you Sergio for your kindness and professionalism every step. read more

There aren't enough words to describe the level of satisfaction I got from the job that Sergio did at my home both inside and out. His bidding process has no rival. He is meticulous to a fault. He comprehensively studied my home for any and all possibilities and he missed absolutely nothing. The perfection of the job is like none I have ever seen and I've had many painting contractors over the years. They could take classes from this man. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone who takes pride in and values their home. The products he uses are top of the mark, Benjamin Moore paints, only the best quality. The careful preparation of all painting surfaces made the finished product flawless. I had him redo a previous paint job on the inside of my home. It would have been a challenge for any painter but he corrected all of the problems and gave me a beautiful finished job. I will definitely use Sergio's service anytime I have a painting project. I'm updating my review because after Sergio painted our home's interior, we asked him back to paint the exterior. What I didn't mention in my last post is that Sergio has a standard that he upholds. Everything from the type of paint he uses, to the very fine details, is met with quality. He is also driven by customer satisfaction. I chose a color for the front door, and when Sergio asked me to come take a look, the color was much lighter than I had thought (sometimes the color charts throw me off a bit). I described the look I was trying for, and within minutes Sergio was on the phone, ordering what I was describing (I should have told him initially, cause he would have steered me in the right direction). He repainted the door immediately and it is EXACTLY what I had wanted! Sergio really improved our home's curbside appeal. He has an eye for detail and he doesn't cut corners. His work is always thorough and clean. Once again, I'm a very happy customer. I've already referred him to two different friends who are also extremely happy with the quality of his work. Not surprisingly, neighbors are now inquiring as well. I will continue to refer Sergio! read more
