After Sergio did a fantastic job painting our front door 4 years ago, we of course went back to him for a complete exterior job. His bid was fair and very thorough. He explained everything he and his crew would do and made sure we understood the entire process. I called for an estimate on painting all of our outside trim/wood as well as gutters. The owner Sergio came out and after looking at our wood and the issues that I pointed out he told me confidently that we didn't need to have all of our wood painted. My family and I recently bought a house and the only thing we didn't like was the exterior color. When we decided to hire a painter, I did my research and had a couple different companies give us bids. The owner of SM, Sergio, was the only one who told us the existing paint was in good shape and it didn't NEED to be painted. Right then I knew SM was the company to hire because of Sergio's honesty and the fact that he put our best interest above just business. Once I told him it was just a cosmetic choice, he was supportive and excited about getting us a color we loved. He sent me multiple projects he had done in the color palette I liked for inspiration, since I was so indecisive. Eventually, he helped me pick the perfect shade of gray to go with the existing trim. As the project got going, I realized my garage doors also needed a fresh coat, so Sergio did that too just to ensure I was happy with the final outcome. I was very I am very happy with the services I received from Sergio owner of SM painting. To say that Sergio went above and beyond is an understatement. Not only did he provide me with a free estimate make good suggestions, but when he was completing the painting job and he noticed a problem with my baseboards or loose stair railings he would contact me and in the end fix them with no extra charge. I had a problem with the baseboard that was deteriorating and he replaced it and did not charge me extra for that. Any additional small fixes that he did again I was not charged extra. Sergio was polite respectful and in constant communication with me. He didn't charge until the job was finished and I was more than completely satisfied. I'm updating my review because after Sergio painted our home's interior, we asked him back to paint the exterior. What I didn't mention in my last post is that Sergio has a standard that he upholds. Everything from the type of paint he uses, to the very fine details, is met with quality. He is also driven by customer satisfaction. I chose a color for the front door, and when Sergio asked me to come take a look, the color was much lighter than I had thought (sometimes the color charts throw me off a bit). I described the look I was trying for, and within minutes Sergio was on the phone, ordering what I was describing (I should have told him initially, cause he would have steered me in the right direction).
