Dale did job for me approximately October 23-24, 2016. Specifically, he did pool epoxy coating job for me. I called a reference he provided me with that he had done an epoxy job of for before. To be fair, the reference did the job to make her pool look better because they were in the process of selling. She probably never saw the results that may have arose after the job was complete. He told me it was a two day prep. He did it in less than one day instead and the poor preparation is showing. Several spots of the coating is lifting all over the pool surface. He claims all of his work is guaranteed. I reached out to him a few times so he can redo the job and make it right. He keeps putting me off with the fact that he is out of town and will get in contact with with me as soon as he gets back into town. Each time I reached out to him it's the same answer or that "he is on it" and he promises he will take care of me. In the mean time, he has never reached out to me to see about setting up an appointment to get it done. I keep contacting him and he keeps putting a Band-Aid over our conversation. The job was completed the week of October 24, 2016. I have held off making this review hoping that he would make things right and live up to his word. He says all his work is 100% guaranteed but my family is in construction and when something is not right with the customer, they are quick to rectify the situation and make things right and the customer happy. I would either like my money back or for the job to be done right! It has been nearly two months and he has have not reached out to me to fix the situation so my hands are tied and I am doing this so no other customer throws away their hard earned money on a dishonest man and his poor quality workmanship.
Follow up:
I've had this review in my drafts for over a year. I'm finally done waiting to post. He has never lived up to his empty promises of paying me back or re doing the job. This photo was from Just this morning 1/27/18. As you can imagine, each time I reach out I get another postponement text so he may avoid living up to his word. I have him over 14 months to do the right thing.
I do have more to share about his interactions with clients and behavior around clients on the job.
You have been warned. I would not trust Dale.
I honestly waited and was patient.
He says that I postponed the repairs and that the warrantee only covered the areas that were messed up but I would have had to drain the entire pool because there were so many areas are messed up and he even said he did a poor job. He fully admitted to doing a rush job. I must've asked him once or twice every 30 days to reschedule and he kept putting me off and putting me off. I asked for my money back because I know he will never do the job. He makes up at the excuses of having to go all the way to Sacramento area to get a sandblaster from a buddy because he doesn't have one and that he doesn't have the money to pay for the materials which is nearly a $500 cost to cover his warranty. To any who would like to further talk with me regarding this dishonest person, feel free to personal message me. Lastly, to retort on his price being inexpensive. I never once asked him to lower his price. He repeatedly texted me even though I just inquired with him to get a price to get the job done at some point in the future. I even stated that in my initial text. I never once asked him to lower his price. He was slow on work and must have texted me several times in one day and I repeatedly stated that I did not want to get that job done at that time and his price is his price. The fact whether or not he came down in price should have nothing to do with the quality of his work. It did not last a week before it started peeling up. Not exceptional service Dale! How is your "exceptional service" a pool coating job that only last a week? Nobody wants to pay $1000 for a paint job that only lasts a few days! You are in control of your work bids Dale. I paid for all the material. I paid you over $1000 for labor. How was that only making $200?
Still highly advise people to BE AWARE!!! read more
