When I asked their opinions, they said they weren't supposed to say, but I managed to squeeze out of them that Dewey was very nice.... Nice. Yes, but we had some trouble. Months ago, he said it would be a few weeks, but he'd come back to fix it, and never called. At first, a couple other companies were booked out way too far to paint before our move-in date, and one seemed outrageously priced, but I managed to get a quote from Dewey of Diversified Drywall the same day as one other company. The other guy came first and gave me a very reasonable quote (I ended up hearing that his crew wasn't very professional...) and when Dewey came, he made it sound like he would do a much better job. The quote was slightly higher, but he was able to install baseboards as well as fix some drywall, so I hired him. He had to push out the job a week, which was no biggie. It was obvious from our conversations that he was a busy guy and it showed.... When the crew came they did the job pretty quickly. Most of it looked really nice. He pressure washed our garage for free. That was cool. The paint job seemed alright at first, but as we looked closer, there were spots that needed touched up. Also, closets were not included in his quote..... The drywall repair was hideous in places. One of my friends that does drywall said it was "unacceptable." There were patch jobs downstairs that he says he didn't do...that they didn't repair drywall downstairs (well, why NOT?! is my response), but those bad patches look identical to bad patches upstairs, where old nail holes were not even filled!! For something like $4800, nail holes should have been filled and old, bad patchwork should have been sanded down, even though I believe he did the patchwork and won't admit it. If it would have been an extra cost, he should have offered us that. We were moving into the home and wanted it to be nice. Also, the entryway had yellow on the white ceiling and a couple corners where colors changed weren't cleanly done. By our bedroom lightswitch is a large dried drip. It just became obvious that he had taken too many jobs and that he didn't have time to do right by us. Such a bummer. I didn't want to have to write this review, but he had 6 months to come back and fix things.

I contracted Diversified Drywall to construct an office infill for my business office. The job…read moreinvolved putting in an additional wall, entrance door, sound board, shelving with ambient lighting and a special wall texture. They matched paint to my carpets for the walls and painted accents that i had for wall decorations to match. The paint looks perfectly straight from color to color and they were clean between tasks. They also put a ceiling fan in for me when i was told by another contractor that it would be very difficult. score! I get compliments all the time on how nice my office looks and i thank Diversified for their good work. Highly recommend.

I work full-time during the week, so I wanted to have someone else do the install so this does not turn into a 3-month project. I called Andrew Rohrer on the recommendation of a friend who has used him in the past, and made an appointment for Mr. Rohrer to come look at the project. He came by, looked at what I had going on, and said he would be able to help. We started to make plans around his schedule, but he never called back. I tried calling him several times, and no return calls. This behavior is so unprofessional, and simply disrespectful. At least have the common courtesy to return a telephone call even if to say that you are so busy you cannot take on the extra work. I can respect that. I guess Chico, California just has so much work that contractors do not need to behave in a professional manner. Because of this, I would not call this contractor back, and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Mr. Rohrer is an honest contractor who I have used more than once. He is extremely personable,…read morereliable, fairly priced, honest, and efficient. He is an Eagle Scout so you know the price is backed by the "Scouts Honor". He is busy because he is a master at his craft. Rest assured you are not being cheated and you are getting a fair shake when you deal with Mr. Rohrer. Mr. Rohrer was referred to me by a family friend. He installed a new header in my garage for my new garage door. I was pleased with his work so I also used Mr. Rohrer to install a drainage ditch by the garage. Both projects were completed in a prompt and efficient manner. I would definitely recommend Rohrer construction to a friend.

I laughed, but it really wasn't funny, because I experienced the very same thing when I called them about a year ago when starting our last project. The girl answering the phone was very nice and even gave me some tips on how to finish off a concrete floor. But, when it came time to get a call back from the contractor, it never happened. I also called in 2 more times and not even a return/message telling me they were booked out. If he can't have the decency to return a call, I can't imagine (the nightmare) getting into a remodel contract with him.
