Mark isn't inexpensive. Instead, he charges full price for thoughtful designs and thoroughly professional work. For my project, he walked my property for hours and designed the project from the ground up, extending my cabins' architecture into the surrounding landscape. He approached me at every step in the process to ask my opinion and learn my preferences. His plan covered everything: from "invisible" things like foundation-work and irrigation plans, right through to the earth-shaping, planting and irrigation fine-tuning. To my surprise, he has also contacted me weeks AFTER the job was done to double check on things and fine tune the irrigation. Apparently, he baked 'follow through' into what I've already paid. If you're looking for a good bargain, there are many good landscapers, handymen and gardeners who will fight for whatever you're offering and do a great job. On the other hand, if you are determined to do something uniquely great with your surroundings, and you're willing to invest what it costs to hire a serious design-and-build landscaper, I definitely recommend Mark and My Ground. We started this project by filling out a need request here on Yelp. That produced five (5)…read moreestimates from local companies. Of the 5, Pyramid was the lowest estimate and since this was a mandated project from our insurance company and it's an investment property, price was my primary concern. But, they weren't just the lowest, they were the lowest by 20%. Next, they did a great job of explaining things that were new to me or things I wasn't expecting. An example of it is paperwork for the city of Chico. They took care of both permits and the addition documents the city requires. On the start day of the project, they were both on time and ready to jump right in. While I was chatting with Jorge, they almost had the old shingles off the roof. No, they weren't that fast, but it sure felt that way. In fact, Jorge advised that it would take 4 days, yet they were finished in 3. After they had the roof stripped of the old shingles, they found several spots where additional remediation was required including under the roof. They fixed those nicely but didn't charge an exorbitant additional costs. In the end, I'm exceptionally pleased with the result and cost. If you have roofing needs in the Chico area, you should go with Pyramid Roofing.

My freezer door was left open over night and my fridge had stopped working Saturday. I couldn't…read moretell if it was the fridge or the circuit breaker when I tried to troubleshoot. I contacted Reed Electric through yelp on a Sunday morning and I received a call less than 2 hours later. I explained my situation and Reed helped me troubleshoot my fridge and circuit over the phone and discovered my circuit breaker was working properly and the problem was my fridge. Reed was very helpful and informative with my questions. I asked him how much for his time and he said no charge. Needless to say, if I ever have electrical issues, I'll be calling Reed Electric again. Just had my new fridge installed Wednesday and no issue with the power/circuit. Thanks Reed
