Phil was recommended to me by a friend of mine. The first thing I had to have done on my home was new shelving in my garage. Phil first came out to my home and did an estimate. It was fair and detailed as to what he was going to do in the materials. He completed the job in perfect timing and he went way above and beyond what Was originally expected. It has been difficult to get someone reliable for repairs or for small projects. Recently the plastic pipes for the outdoor automatic sprinklers broke. We had a inexperienced person dig out enough dirt to expose the pipes and attempted a fix that failed and created a bigger problem. Phil was able to respond within a few days. He dug out much more dirt, made the repairs and filled the hole with sand, replacing the rocks on top so the landscape was not changed and no mess or pile of dirt left behind. He gave us a quote that was fair before starting, he did not go over the quote. He gave us a much more detailed invoice than others have provided, plus he took time to explain the problem and best solution and took before and after pictures We will call him for our next project or repair. read more

I had 3 small items that needed repair on a rental I own. I talked to Phil and he told me it would take about 1 hour and his minimum charge was $125. I had already purchased the material to do the repair at the apartment. Phil showed up at the apartment at 8 AM. The blind I had purchased was the wrong item and Phil offered to exchange it and return to the apartment and install it. This one hour job turned into a 6 hour job. I believe his charge of one hour to go to Home Depot was fine. I thought 3 hours would be more than fair to complete this job. Phil charged me for 6 hours of work totaling $370. This is an extremely excessive and expensive charge. read more

Phil always arrived when he said he would, was there to supervise & work with any sub-contractors. He always let us know where he was in the whole process, gave us an estimate that he stuck to. had call phil to come put in a dishwasher in ( which i had already bought), and replace locks on my bedroom and my front door. (for 2.5 hours they charged $280) they was very respectful, and professional, and did it in a timely manner. i was shocked how fast they did everything, they are a great home repair company. i would recommend to any one who has jobs that they need do and dont have the time to do it. i am going to be calling them to come back and have them redo my bathroom and do more work in my kitchen. they have good prices and are great people. thank you guys for your help. will be calling you soon. read more

I would not suggest having Phil's home repair do any work for you. I called him to give me a quote on a plumbing issue in the mobile home I rent from a family member. He quoted me at $300 for parts and labor. Not knowing much about plumbing, I agreed to the charges and let him do the work. The job took him an hour and a half from the time he got to my house until the minute he left. He was in, out and on his way, which I thought was great until I had a friend check out my invoice and the job Phil did. This friend of mine does plumbing work, (I was not previously aware of this) and so I had him check out the work because $300 seemed a bit much for what I saw Phil do. My friend informed me that the $175 in parts I was charged was ridiculous, because half of the stuff he put on the invoice was not even used and he charged too much for them even if he had used them. Before I had this friend check out the plumbing job, I had also asked Phil to take a look at my swamp cooler and give me a quote on that. Phil assured me the job would be fairly inexpensive and he could check it out the next day while I was at work since he didn't need access to the home and he could shoot me a quote at that point. I agreed to this, but when I got home, the job was done and their was an invoice sitting in my dining room table for $345. I was shocked and frankly very ticked off . I did not give permission to access my home even though he knew my door was unlocked and I certainly did not agree to having him do the work without going over what he wanted to do and what the charges would be. This time he charged $300 in labor and $45 in parts. The Swamp cooler was brand new as off a year ago, and had stopped working after 2 weeks because of being installed poorly by someone else. There is no reason Phil should have charged $300 in labor. The swamp cooler was too new to need that much work. To add insult to injury, the swamp cooler stopped working after one week. Moral of the story, after 2 days of work, he charge $645 total for the 2 jobs which is way over priced for the work he did. My advise, please do not let this man near your home. read more
