He let us know that the replacement we had was not the right one and went the next day to get our old motor warrantied and brought us the new one. Smitty's installed my unit five years ago. It is out now for the third time. They did not seal it…read moregood when it was installed and it leaked causing a stain on my ceilings. I had one of their techs come to seal it. Then I had to have someone else come and seal it properly. I signed a service agreement to have the unit service twice per year and they never showed up. I made two appointments for routine maintenance last year and they did not show up either time. Now my unit is out and it is well over 100 degrees and they won't come for a week. I will never use them again. It is a shame they are still using Smitty's name as he was a wonderful man.

They put holes in the ceilings and didn't patch them up, i had to.. The vents are uneven where they installed the inside filter looks so crappy my four-year-old could've done better. They actually used the breakers/fuse to my power outlets to my plugs in the house so half of my plugs in the house don't work anymore instead of putting in a different/larger breaker, Pg&e came out and flagged my gas because they hooked it up wrong , Pg&e had to come in and redo the whole gas line, never once did I get a call from Managment, bosses, nobody they will call and make me do my appointments because I prepaid for the service, and threaten me with voiding my warranty.. but actually getting customer service is nonexistent . Now that they have my money, it doesn't really matter to them. If I had the funds, I would 100% take them to court !!!! If you want to save yourself money and a headache do not use this company! As a single mom paying $16,000 for a new HVAC system and getting the crappies job done is heartbreaking. Unfortunately the loan is through a third-party so they got paid for their horrible job while I am paying out of pocket to fix their mess.

Blower stopped working again after Modern left. I then purchased a new circuit board and installed it. This fixed the problem. Still works on heating and cooling 5 months later. We were looking for a gas insert for a fireplace for a rental, and I had heard good things about…read moreRainbow. I went in to get a brochure, and I set up an appointment for them to come measure the fireplace clearances to determine what would work. They do NOT charge a fee for the bid trip unless you live way out of town, and then if it's required, they apply that to your purchase! NOT what the other guys do. We paid our deposit after picking the unit, and they ordered the parts. Of course now we were approaching the Holidays, but they were extremely flexible in making the necessary appointments! We hired their suggested plumber (NW Plumbing - another great connection!) who had to come give us a bid to get the gas (and electrical) into the firebox before the insert could go in, and we set up a time to get that work done. Definitely a process with varied stages... Because we were trying to accomplish this during our heavy rain days, Rainbow was willing to do the work at different times, outside/roof work when dry and inside if weather was bad. Long story short, we got everything accomplished (plumbing AND insert) and completed over a two week time frame around Christmas! Rusty, the owner, is very friendly and informative with excellent communication; and Faith, his office scheduler, was amazing as well! His On Site team really knew their job and was able to make adjustments as needed to meet our desired outcome to a "T"! Although everything ended up costing a bit more than we expected before starting the process (what DOESN'T cost more these days?! ), we are so happy and pleased with the final product, the improved look and ease of gas, AND the heat at the push of a button, it was WELL worth it! Note: Be sure to ask about EVERYTHING that might be needed to make the finished product look like the brochure. We had some initial miscommunication (resulting in 4 vs 5 stars) that was later resolved.
