Dengeos is one of our favorite lunch spots. My team goes almost every week, and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh, quick, and high quality. I've tried the Caesar salad, Caesar pita, chicken kabob, and burger - all excellent. Everything tastes homemade and well seasoned, and the portions are generous without being over the top. Perfect for a reliable, satisfying lunch. I have eaten in restaurant, which is always clean. Plenty of seating and we've gone with a group of 9 and there was room for us. I also have gotten to go which is great and quick. I always forget to take pictures - but I will be sure to on my next visit and update. Especially the chicken Cesar pita. The portions are amazing!

I've been going to the Skokie location for decades. I was very happy when they opened a restaurant in Wheeling which is closer to me and now that the Glenview/Northbrook has opened, it's my newest go to. In all the years I have been coming to Dengeos I have never ever had a bad meal or experience. Food is always freshly prepared and served on an actual real plate with silverware, no plastic crap here and it's sooo good! Baked Greek chicken and the pork kabobs are my favs. The gyros are in a class by themselves. Salads are some of the best anywhere. Plenty of sides to choose from including Greek potatoes and baked potatoes. Plenty of parking.

Love this place. The food is fast and hot and delicious. I had the gyro sandwich and some baklava. The sandwich was so big fresh and meaty. I had the baklava later in the evening and it was lovely. I'm visiting from Virginia and this place is always on my required dining list. Their ribs are great, fyi. Salads are excellent. Roast chicken is great. Can't go wrong.

Dengeos is a quick and easy food spot in the Glenview area. One can choose to order through the drive-thru to go or order inside and enjoy immediately. The inside was very clean and had plenty of seating to accommodate a large dining crowd. They have a variety of menu items offering hotdogs, burgers, sandwiches, salads, gyros and more. Their specialty is certainly their gyro which did not disappoint. The meat was flavorful, pita sofa, and a good amount of toppings included. I also got a hotdog which had a steamed bun and good taste. Their fries were perfectly crispy. Our lunch in total was $20 which I felt wasn't bad.

I eat in all the time and always have a great experience. This week I placed a pick up order and got the 1lb gyros dinner. They even have a pick up window you don't have to park! It's a great deal with lots of meat and all of the fixings (onions, tomatoes, tzatziki, and you get to pick 2 sides like potatoes and fries). Works well for my family for leftovers for a couple of days too. Will be back again soon.

This was a great find. The food was hot and fresh. It had a great menu selection. The service though when you walk in , they look like they aren't too happy when it gets busy . That's only because it can get busy for about an hour all that you heard was orders being called out back to back. The ambiance was modern and very spacious. The decor looks like they took the time to learn about warm colors and appealing designs. Try it out !

    Driest gyro I've ever eaten!!!

I finally decided to give this place a try as I've been craving a gyro for a while now. Well, I'm eating it right now and I must say this is the driest gyro I've ever had. There's hardly any tzatziki sauce on it. I have to take a sip of water after every bite. Will I try it again? Yes, however I absolutely will lower the rating and count them as a loss if the next gyro is the same. Today was truly a waste of money.

Dengeos is a local restaurant that now has 3 locations - one in Skokie, one in Buffalo Grove, and now in Glenview. Their menu is pretty extensive, offering salads, sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, Italian specialties, dinner combos, sides, and desserts. We came here for a later lunch and ordered: +a Double Cheeseburger - 2 charbroiled 1/3 lbs patties, topped with mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, onions, and a pickle +Gyros - filled generously with onions, tomatoes, and tzaziki sauce +and, a Dengeos Salad - romaine lettuce with tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, onions, olives, and crumbled feta; this is served with a pita bread and the house greek dressing; you could request ranch, French, thousand, fat-free French, honey mustard, and Caesar I was actually pleasantly surprised with the food - honestly, I am a huge loyal fan of their competitor, but this experience made me second-guess - HA! While the burger was just okay (kind of dried out and not flavorful), the gyros was generously filled with juicy gyro meat. The salad was the star, as it arrived in a huge platter - not only that, but all the ingredients were just so fresh and delicious! You order and pay at the front, and then you just wait to hear your number called out, located on your receipt. There's ample seating; receptacles aren't clearly labeled, as we found just a couple of holes near the staff section. Plenty of parking in the plaza lot. +fresh salads +generously-filled gyros +ample seating available +plenty of parking in large plaza lot

Interior- plenty of seating. Basic decor but very clean.

This isn't a fast food Greek place, it's a dine-in or take out restaurant with a wide variety of good food- including healthy options. Come for gyros but come back for things like the chicken kabob and village salad (Greek salad no lettuce). Nice menu with a wide variety of Greek and American food that is fresh, made well and delicious. They are generous with their portions at a good price, which equals great value for the money. We had the Greek village salad , chicken kabob sandwich and fries. All splittable between two people. The Greek village salad was outstanding- fresh and generous with the feta and olives. The Greek dressing is one of the best I've ever had, loved the red wine vinegar they use. They use real feta - incredible flavor. This is a classic Greek salad- all veges/feta/olives without the lettuce and you don't need it. Do not fear the anchovies! Delicious salty devils, pair it with the feta and tomato, it's so good! The chicken was grilled with nice char but they kept it juicy and didn't dry it out. This is also some of the best pita bread I've had- it's soft and fluffy vs flat and dry like you find in most other places. Excellent tzatziki sauce. Fries were decent, love crinkle style- just wasn't quite as fresh as our other items. Good but not great. You order your food, get a number and they bring out your dishes. Nice, helpful and friendly staff. Basic decor, plenty of seating and very clean. They kept clearing tables and I didn't see one table needing to be cleaned. I liked our meal and really liked the menu- plenty to choose from. There are 3 locations I believe. They cater too and while there I saw several large orders go out the door. Very happy here and plan to come back! Excellent flavor, fresh food, nice selection, good prices and great value for the money.

First time stepping for foot inside this restaurant and what a pleasant surprise! Very spacious, family friendly place of you want to dine in. I ordered online for carry out and decided to go inside but they do have an online order pickup window. They had a full staff and all were very friendly. We ordered gyros, cheese fries, Italian beef, and the chili dog. The Italian beef was very juicy and was larger then we expected. The gyros dinner only came with one pita, so should've bought some extra bread. Kids devoured their meals. Think we will definitely come again!

On a weekday evening, as expected, the restaurant was not busy.  We were promptly seated at a 4-top table (2 × 2-top) against the right wall, with some other 2-tops on both sides.  Like many reviewers had mentioned, the venue was beautiful, modern and chic. There were 7 tables occupied, including us.  The music that they had was not too loud, just that customers' conversations were amplified by the box shape open dining area.  If we focused enough, we could hear every conversation if we wanted to.  This was obvious when a table of about 6 women got seated at a table near the front door, some of them laughed and talked very loudly.  My husband and I just found it funny and didn't let that bother us.  However, when the restaurant is filled on busier days, it might be a different story. Our server, Patrick, was very nice and attentive.  Since they did not list drinks on their menu except those with alcohol, I asked him about non-alcoholic drinks.  After a brief "discussion", he asked me to leave it to him to make me a drink with mango.  He came up with a beautiful drink that was good and refreshing, with some mango flavor.  It was Virgin Paloma on our receipt for $8, which was reasonable.  He was very polite and checked in on us several times at appropriate times during our dinner.  The pace of the dinner was good, we spent a total of an hour and 15 minutes in the restaurant. Patrick might be the only waiter serving all the tables that evening, though. I also ordered Grilled Octopus ($22) which was very good, tender and flavorful, but was a little too salty to my taste.  The small pita bread wedges were warm and fluffy with some crispy edges, the beet hummus was creamy, and everything was delicious and tasted fresh.  I generously shared 2 little bites of octopus with my husband and I finished the entire plate, it was so good!  My husband really liked his Spiked White Fish ($29) and I shared a bite of that too.  He also had a House Salad for $6, that was a very good value.  He enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc Crossing ($12) too.  We also shared an order of Crème Brulee ($8), that was creamy and cooked perfectly.  We ordered a takeout order of Rigatoni with Sausage ($23), that was a good portion, and was still delicious and al dente the next day after being microwaved. I am so happy that we found Social Inn - a hidden gem in Plaza del Prado, it's not far from home, with comfortable and beautiful ambiance, excellent service (from Patrick), an attractive menu with enticing food (fresh ingredients and appealing plating), and reasonable prices, we will definitely be back!

We were in the area late in the day and remembered Social Inn was open, so we went. We ordered a variety of items. I did order my burger medium and it was delivered well done, but it was still good. They also have one of the best gluten-free buns I've ever had. I do wish they were open at lunch time still, but I understand they need to be open for their busiest hours. Social Inn is a great option when you are in the Glenview area.

I stopped in on a Wednesday around 7:15 pm; it was comfortably busy, and parking was easy in the large parking lot. I accidentally entered through the back door that was right by where I parked, but was warmly welcomed by Jimena, who explained it was table service and she would be my server. I chose a standard table and was seated at a cozy two-top facing a beautiful, full-length bar and two TVs. The colorful Mexican décor and warm vibe made it feel like dining among neighbors and friends. I started with a refreshing Jamaica agua fresca brewed from dried hibiscus flowers ($4.50), it's slightly sweet and floral and served in a mason jar. For food, I ordered the Baja Fish Taco ($6) and the Short Rib Taco ($7.50). The fish taco featured crispy beer-battered cod with coleslaw, cilantro, cheese, lime, and chipotle aioli on a cheese-crusted tortilla, it was delicious, but I wish the fish had been a bit thicker. The 24-hour braised short rib taco topped with pickled red onions, cilantro, and avocado was rich and flavorful. The red salsa was a bit watered down with not much flavor, but the taco was flavorful and didn't need it. I was already full but couldn't resist to order the Mexican Key Lime Pie ($8). It was beautifully presented and drew attention from the table of 4 next to me. I enjoyed a couple of bites and took the rest home. It was quite tart but was balanced well by the abundance of whipped cream. Overall, it was a lovely experience. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and satisfying food. I'm happy to have such a solid Mexican spot in the neighborhood and look forward to returning with my family to explore more of the menu.
