So happy to have one of these in Murfreesboro. We come here often as there are so many things we enjoy. You wouldn't think it but they have one of the best ribeyes in town. Food was amazing as Always. Server awesome and their chicken soup is to die for. Can get busy but is worth it!!!

We have a birthday party at our home expecting 26 guests, so we ordered Demos to go. The staff who took our call in were efficient. We ordered 24 hours in advance. We called again 6 hrs in advance to make sure our order had been received and everything was still as planned. I pulled up into a very convenient parking place reserved for call in orders. A sign on the parking spot gives directions on what to text- your name and parking slot. 8 minutes later our order of pans of salad, 2 pans of meatballs and 2 pans of grilled chicken tenders and bread arrived and was boxed perfectly. The food was delicious and still warm when we served . The entire transaction was seamless. read more

This is a family favorite. We have been coming here for two decades, and my now-grown children still love it. The bread is good. Everyone loves the soup. The salads, although simple, are really fresh and tasty. We usually have to get two spinach appetizers because they go so quickly with our group. Most of us get the 6 oz. club steak. Just the right amount of steak, love the seasoning, and are usually perfect. The zucchini and blackened chickened pasta are favorite sides. The waiting room is spacious, and it is just a comfortable place to go as a family especially with little ones. They have an impressive kids' menu too. Over the years, we have had our odd night that wasn't quite right, usually it's with the steaks, but it's rare and overall, it is a solid, reasonably priced meal with good service, whether with the family or on a date. Demos' restaurant has gone way under. What used to be a great dining experience has now become a nightmare to go. To start, I have over 10 year of leadership and management experience. Demos' does not know where to begin with how to manage a restaurant. They're rude, impatient, and not caring to customers or employees. This restaurant only cares about making a quick dollar. It USED to be a great family owned establishment. So sad to see what's happened. I will not be supporting or returning. Update: (later that same day) I was notified my review had been responded to. Upon reviewing the notification I noticed they had replied to another 1 star review as well accusing that person of being me. I did indeed leave two negative reviews. Both here, and google. I wanted to make sure people saw it. However, I did not make another account just to leave another review on the same app. I find that behavior petty and inappropriate. I left two honest reviews on two different websites. Now, after publicly being accused of lying, I will ensure none of my friends, family, or community support your establishment either. My wife & I went to DEMO's today in M'boro for lunch, as we do often. We really like their daily lunch specials, especially their grilled Tilapia, hamburger steak or Lasagna! Today was Tilapia and I don't know how they do it, but it is the BEST I have had anywhere. Full of flavor, crispy on the edges and tender & flaky. Chicken soup. I would go to Demos' restaurant just to have their chicken soup. Actually, I did that today. Had their all you can eat chicken soup and salad. Their steaks are also very decent and come with your choice of spaghetti. The brown butter spaghetti is my favorite. I think the butter is scalded a little to make it brown, and it also adds a little something to the flavor, makes it deeper...? It's hard to explain, but the taste explains it all! They have a $4.99 and $5.99 lunch special that changes every day, which is a great way to try some of their dishes. The sweet tea actually comes as regular tea with liquid sugar on the side so that you can sweeten the tea to your taste, something I really like because most of the sweet tea in the Boro is way too sweet for me. Do go early to beat the rush, otherwise you will need to wait. They have a large waiting area that does get filled up during lunch and dinner time. read more

Hadn't been to demos in quite some time. Usually so busy we're not unable to get in when we want. Came in and didn't have a wait at all, was quickly seated. First the service was....eh. Took almost 15 mins just to get our drink order. After that she was pretty regular at checking on us. Good as always was good. This is my first yelp review. My husband and I have talked about writing more reviews so here it goes: All we hear is how wonderful Demo's is and how it's the best place to eat in Murfreesboro. I disagree. The atmosphere was nice, but they have an intercom system like Cracker Barrel and announce the party that is ready to be seated loudly over the intercom. I see the efficient in this, so I won't complain, just a FYI. I had the all you can eat soup and salad, (maybe I ordered the wrong thing) but let me tell you, I was not impressed. The salad seemed bagged lettuce with dressing poured over it. The soup was very watery broth with boiled chicken and rice. I ordered a second soup just because I was hungry and wanted to get my money's worth of "all you can eat" @ $8. My husband asked the waiter for a recommendation. He told him to order the sirloin, which he did. He said the steak was OK. It was served with a baked potato and HALF A STICK OF BUTTER (the picture attached is after my husband had already used half of the butter on his steak and potato). On the other hand, the drinks and bread were both great. Service was fine too, we sat at the bar. My wife and I went here last night for the first time. I had the Giant Ribeye and my wife had the lasagna. She was nervous about the beef/pork mixture, but once it arrived to our table and she took a bite...she knew it was really good. She finished her meal before I was able to finish mine! My steak was amazing: cooked to perfection and provided a mouthful of flavor with each bite. The baked potato was terrific. And "the soup" (house made chicken and rice) was excellent. Portions are small. I had to order a second spaghetti with meat sauce. Little stingy with the sauce. I had to keep stirring and stirring to try get sauce on most of the spaghetti. This is a great place to eat. Had a trouble getting a table last night. I asked the hostess for a booth for 5 people. We had our grand daughter with us who is near 2 years old. The hostess said they could not seat 5 at a booth. I think she sensed frustration on my part. I accepted and she said wait time would be 45 minutes. We stood right behind the hostess' station the entire wait. After 75 minutes, and the wait area clearing out, I finally asked if we were anywhere close to getting a table. She looked up my name on her ipad where it was obvious we had been shown as already seated. I can't help but think she had done that on purpose. Either way, this is a great place to eat and we will keep going. the rolls are absolutely wonderful. I had the meatballs last night and loved them. This was the second time at this restaurant. The first experience was not great so I decided to give them another chance. The service was adequate. The server was polite but not personable. I had the Giant Ribeye meal with salad and baked potato. The meat was flavorless and was 1/3 fat that had to be trimmed. My salad lettuce was wilted and responsible for my bathroom trip within the hour. My guest had pasta, which was cold when served. And, though the menu said that it came with one side, we had to pay for it. When we asked the server about it, she said, "though that item is under that heading, it does not come with a side." OK. This is my favorite restaurant and I have been a customer since they opened. I don't get there as much as I would like, but I have never had a bad meal here in all of the times I have visited. I highly recommend the steak or grilled chicken. The marinade that they use for them cannot be beat! I also recommend the chicken and rice soup. If you are like me, you will be trying to figure out the recipe because it will become your favorite soup, too. Made a call-in order, picked it up, everything seemed cool til I looked to find my soup was basically sitting in the bottom of the bag. Idk if someone was rushed, but the seal on my soup was completely broken so of course it spilled on everything included in the bag. What has happened to this place? I would give zero stars if possible. Used to be one of my favorites when in town. We had a large party and two of the people in our group did not receive their food until 25 minutes after the the rest of the group. Also many of the steaks were luke warm. We asked to speak to a manager. I believe his name was Josh. He was very rude and did not do anything to make the situation better. The server was excellent and very apologetic. The manager has no customer service skills and should not be in a leadership position as evident by the restaurant being run so poorly. There were two tables next to us that were not cleared in the two hour time period we were in the restaurant. When the delayed food finally arrived the manager brought one of the guests food in to go boxes and slung it on the table in front of the customer. The other customer ordered chicken Alfredo and when they took a bite into the chicken and realized it was pink and not cooked. We did not want to deal with the rude manager again so we informed our waiter about the raw chicken. I'm sure your establishment has cameras and you can see this whole debacle if you review the tape. We recommended another group to try this establishment tonight as well and received word they had similar problems with the speed of service and correctness of orders. The manager did make a deduction on the final bill but a great night of fellowship was ruined by poor service and rudeness of the manager. I also hope no one gets sick from eating raw chicken. You just can't beat this place - The Demos Family has been around since I have been here ( Cir 1985 ) - It's the most " Comfort " food you can buy AND the pricing is very reasonable. Their Chicken and Rice soup is a staple in the Middle Tn Area - Back in the days when Mrs Demos was still working - I will never forget how she came around to EVERY table and ensured the table was CLEAN " During " your meal ( Not a crumb could be on the table ). Their attention to detail is why I never NOT see a waiting line there - oh yeah, that is the one drawback - there is always a waiting line BUT you can call ahead and order online for pick up or use one of the many local delivery services :) We love us some Demos ! read more

Went here last night. Not extremely busy but had a 15-30 minute wait. The bar is closed and I asked why and they told me they were using the space for takeout. I would have preferred having a glass of wine at the bar while I waited. The meatballs were good but I had to ask for more sauce as it had a small spoonful over 6 balls. My husband ordered the ribeye which was a flat dull color. The steaks are cooked on a flattop so they are not that flavorful. We had a fabulous server who made the trip worthwhile. We tried their food truck in our neighborhood. The only reason to give them even 2 stars is due to the fact they came and tried. And I feel guilty because of the Covid pandemic!!!! The prices were the same as the restaurant but the quality and portions were not. The salad was a bagged salad from somewhere. And the blackened chicken was food service as well. I understand that everyone is tight right now. I also understand that it may be hard to get all of the ingredients needed. But what I don't understand is how I am expected to pay 40.00 for two entrees, a salad, and a pan of bread and it be so bland and so little food. I specifically asked how many people an entree would feed and they showed me in the container and said it would easily feed two people.
