I've eaten at this location numerous times; it's always been one of my favorite McAlisters. This time was disappointing. The Southwest salad I ordered looked nothing like the one on the menu.Avocado looked mashed, barely any chicken. When I asked them to look at it, Lady agreed it didn't look like the picture menu and gave me extra avocado on the side which looked horrible. Was told the chicken was on the bottom:it wasn't: very few greens. This was in Murfreesboro on medical pkwy. I'll try a different location and see what happens. I've been to another location in a different state and it was great. Small salad wilted greens and smashed avocado. I sure y'all can do better. read more

Poorly assembled chicken BLT and almost uneatable chef salad due to what appeared to be spoiled lettuce. Couldn't eat half my lunch before pushing it away. They give you a numbered card but never identified by this number that you are asked to display on your table. Instead you are required to remember the 'special' name they identify your meal with. I'm in the area for a conference and I must say McAlister's came through with dinner for my husband and I last night. I'm glad they have delivery as an option when ordering online. The service was quick and professional. Last night was "meatless Monday" for me. I knew I could get a quick and filling dinner from them. I had the Veggie Spud with a chef salad. It was the Half and Half combo that they offer. The baked potato was good and I loved the veggies they used. It had broccoli, spinach, sautéed veggies, and tomatoes. The salad was also fresh and good. The raspberry vinaigrette was the highlight of that meal. I need a bottle for the house! Previously posted a not so good review due to condition of food. Calledxt GM, told him the situation. The next day, my $79.00 Oder was reimbursed, though no explanation or apology was given. I felt the refund was totally appropriate given the total lack of attention given our large order. Much to my dismay, the next day The money was taken BACK from our account!!! After I wrote the review, I was notified by E MAIL to contact a specific person at a certain e mail address to possibly find a solution to this problem. I did, and guess what?! Excellent location, combined with an extensive menu. My New Yorker was piled 4" high with fresh corned beef and pastrami. Husband ordered his favorite- French Dip and a the smaller 6" was more than enough of a sandwich. Side of soup was excellent as well. There is also a bar area if happy hour is calling! I went to this location for lunch with a friend- very convenient for post-shopping quick bite near Avenue. This establishment is very nice, it looks just like a full-service restaurant from outside and inside. There are plenty of tables and booths. When you order a soft drink or tea they give you this enormous cup, and they will keep coming back for your refill. Sweet! I did the "pick 2" - southwest chicken sandwich and a soup. They had many options for the soup; I think I saw a list of about 8 different soups. The staff were all friendly, and the food came in less than five minutes. Booth was very comfortable. I love McAlister's! Their sweet tea is hands down the best, and their chicken tortilla soup is a personal favorite. Highly recommend using their app, they have good rewards & you can buy a tea pass for $6.99 for one free tea a day for 30 consecutive days. You can't beat that! I also love that they have curbside pick up, as I like to take my dog with me on rides, so now I can stay with her in the car. Price gouging at its finest. If you review McAllister's Deli on line menu. (Please see photo) the cost of a cola is $2.20. The cost for a (only one size available) cola here is $3.69 ? Cola only costs a restaurant about a quarter in product and cup. The online price for a cookie, $1.25. Here it costs $2.25. My friend ordered the BLT something tasted bland about the mayo and the toasted bread was burnt ... but she was unaware of that until she reached that side of her sandwich as they turned the burned bread on the INSIDE of the sandwich to hide it. My french dip was good and tortilla soup was good, the cucumber tomato salad is bland with too many red onions. (TINY cup serving) Inside was clean. Service was friendly. For a Sunday afternoon with all other restaurants packed.... This one was VERY empty. I stood around for 10 minutes after my designated pick up time while the 2 people working the front moved like sloths. Two other customers stood around wondering where there orders were. My food sat up on the counter for 5 minutes before they decided it needed to go into a bag. I get home and immediately wonder...why are there chunks of chicken in my broccoli? I'm a vegetarian. Excellent choice of sandwiches, soups, and salads mostly for just under $10. This spot is taking COVID precautions. All of the staff are wearing masks, and they require patrons to be masked until they get to their tables. There are extra sanitizer stations throughout the restaurant. There is also outdoor seating. This is a deli, but the friendly staff will bring you drink refills and take your plates from your table. Try the peach sweet tea! read more

I always have liked McAlister's, but they are certainly making it very difficult to leave them a good rating during this past experience. I drove to pick it up at the restaurant and a woman carried it out to my car. We ordered two chicken Caesar wraps, with chips and broccoli, and a side salad. We didn't get our chips, we didn't get a side of broccoli, and I didn't get a Caesar dressing on the side either. The lettuce was also a bit disappointing in terms of freshness and quality. It's really sad to pay money for food, and then when you get home you realize that they ripped you off, and you didn't even get the food that you had just paid for. :( read more

Ate at McAlisters for the very first time last night, and we ordered it to go on the app. The online app was very easy and convenient to use. Overall the experience was good. And the food was decent. We ordered a McAlister's Famous Sweet Tea™, a Big Nasty w/ caramelized onions and a cup of chili, a French Dip and Mashed Potatoes, and a Sweet Chicken Chipotle w/ jalepenos and caramelized onions and a potato salad. The big nasty was my favorite, though when I first saw it I was disappointed because the sandwich didn't look like the picture. I expected there too be more meat and cheese. But when I added the gravy and mashed potatoes to it, it tasted great. I was happily surprised. My parents enjoyed it much less than I did, I say it's because they were missing the mashed potatoes factor, but that's just me. They also complained that the caramelized onions wasn't enough and that you couldn't even taste them on the sandwich. The French Dip was alright, I wasn't very happy with it. It had a good amount of meat and the meat tasted good, but I just wasn't overly ecstatic with the sandwich. The Sweet Chipotle was good. I was disappointed that the caramelized onions and jalapenos were basically nonexistent though. The chicken was also very little amount. Other than that it tasted pretty good. The chili was good according to my parents. The potato salad wasn't their thing though because of the relish. Overall the food and experience was good. I am not disappointed. read more

Amazing. Like absolutely amazing! First time getting takeout from this place and it does not disappoint! We got a king club to share and a couple of salads. A potato that is like the size of my head. Veggie soup and chicken tortilla soup. Everything was delicious. And we have plenty of leftovers for tomorrow. I ordered online and did curbside pickup. I called around in the area for a deliver for bridesmaids and groomsmen for breakfast and lunch delivery. I contacted Mel and she was so wonderful each time I spoke with her. I had many questions and had to alter the order a few times, but that never mattered, she was always to pleasant and understanding. If you have to cater anything, I would strongly recommend calling Mel at McAlister's Deli in Murfreesboro - you will not find a more accommodating person to deal with - they offer so many selections and also their prices are so reasonable. read more

Then, the 32 ounce never ending drink (I had lemonade) and loaded half potato cemented the deal because my favorite chicken salad sandwich was excellent. When told there was no barbeque sause I considered taking my potato home. But the manager turned me on to chipole peach sauce and BEHOLD...I now have a condiment to brag over. Delivery order of one French Dip and one Reuben. The French Dip sandwich was tiny with barely any meat or cheese and the au jus was bland. Wasn't worth $5 let alone the $10.57 they charge for it. The Reuben had a decent amount of meat (hence the two stars instead of just one) but the slaw was tasteless and the thousand island dressing was almost nonexistent. The first time my husband and I decided to try their food we ordered the pick 2, in my husbands reuben sandwich there was a nice long string of blond hair in it!!!! My hair is black mind you. This is disgusting, I said I would never go back, we received an offer in the mail for a buy one get one pick 2 and I decided to give it a second chance but before we ordered my husband let the manager know and you won't believe how she handled the situation, all she said was," oh there won't be a hair in your food this time" and she walked away?!? I was like are you serious that's it?? Then we got our food to go and 3 things were missing, on top the that the food is so bland and my 2 year old could have put that together. Today was my first visit to this Deli. I was not impressed with the club sandwich I ordered. My friend ordered a taco salad. We arrived at 1:00..a late lunch. If you are going to specialize in sandwiches and salads..they should be amazing! My sandwich had bread that must have been toasted that morning. The sandwich was so small..a skimpy club arranged on a big plate..without even a pickle. Just totally disappointed in my $8.00 sandwich. The salad looked good until you looked at the lettuce.
