Coming from someone who lived near Tarpon Springs, FL where a large population of Greeks live and having tried the food there...this place is legit. If you haven't been, your missing out! Vibe: Maybe it's my heritage, but I was craving Greek food and decided to give Greek Cafe Grill a try. It's tucked at the end of a typical strip mall -- so you're not going there for the vibe. Inside, it's clean (which is always a plus), but a bit on the sterile side for my taste. Not the end of the world, just one man's perspective. Service: Super friendly and welcoming. Looked like just one person was running the show -- possibly the franchisee -- and he handled everything smoothly and with a smile. What really stood out was how many regulars he clearly knew by name. In this day and age, that's a rarity and such an important part of true hospitality. Food & Drinks: The food was very good. I had the Falafel Wrap, and the falafel itself was light, crispy, and well done. Overall, a solid job. To be candid -- did it blow me away? No. But it absolutely met every expectation I had, and I left completely satisfied. I was looking for a Mediterranean Restaurant (Greek, Armenian, or Lebanese) like the ones I'm used to back home in California. I saw all the great reviews of this place and had to try it. Everything I had was wonderful. Baba ganoush, spanakopita, dolmas (grape leaves), falafel, and a mixture of the tabouli and Greek salad. The restaurant itself was nice and the staff were very friendly. The place was packed and they got everyone's food out pretty quickly. I do have to say I am still looking for a place that sells lamb shish, and a spicy chicken with that white garlic sauce (more Lebanese). Growing up in Detroit and always enjoying the eats of Greek town I found a strong liking for Greek food. We recently moved to murfreeboro and seen this cafe thought we give it a try. The service was good and people were friendly. Food was worth the Stop lots of flavor. Only complaint I had is the cucumber dressing was more water than anything. I stumbled upon this gem recently while delivering an order for door dash. Everything cooked to order and they work to make your order quickly. I tried the chicken wrap with fries. Super flavorful! This used to be "Antonio's Little Italy". We ate there once when they first opened and never returned. They have since closed. This location is now operated by new owners. "Greek Cafe Grill" is nothing like it's predecessor. We gave it a try this week. Service was great, prices are very reasonable, and the food was excellent. My wife and I both had the chicken platter. It comes with a salad and served on rice. I had the cucumber sauce added which was very good. This was my first visit since the change. My wife had been once before and she convinced me to give it a try. I'm glad I did. We will definitely be going back. I believe it was the new owner behind the counter who served us. He is very friendly and trying hard to do things right. I think he's doing a great job. The place still looks a lot like "Antonio's" which is why I avoided it for so long. I can tell you, it's a very different experience now. I recommend giving it a shot if you're in the area. read more
