Came here on a Sunday during lunch hours. We got seated right away. I thought the set up here was pretty cool. They had a really cute bar and some pool tables. I did not order an alcoholic beverage since I came on a Sunday during lunch hours. I tried the fried gizzards, Mac n cheese, and mashed potatoes with gravy. I didn't think anything I had was bad. This was my first time trying fried gizzards so I'm not really sure how the texture is supposed to be like, but it was pretty tough to chew so I guess that's how it's supposed to be like. I also tried their chicken n dressing, spaghetti, and deviled eggs. You can choose spaghetti as your side! I don't think any of it was bad, either. I also tried their wings. Their wings wasn't bad, but it wasn't for me. My favorite items from here were the deviled eggs (very yummy) and the regular baked cornbread. I felt the cornbread was cooked perfectly. It wasn't dry at all. I've had some at other places where it was dry or hard, but here, I really liked it. It also had a really nice sweet taste to it. Their sweet tea was really good, too! In all, I didn't have a bad experience, but would like to come back in the evening to try their bar out and try some other items on their menu. I was looking for a good Sunday soul food restaurant and came across 615 District. There weren't too many people seated in the dining room, but quite a few coming in and out to get Togo orders. I placed a Togo order for 2 chicken and dressing plates. One with Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes the other with pinto beans and sweet potatoes. The chicken and dressing was extremely salty. Usually I'm all for well seasoned food, but this was so salty I didn't end up eating it. The employees here are very friendly and prompt with service. Visited 615 District (former Shoney's on Church St) and unfortunately was not impressed. Went with the Chicken and Dressing dinner with two sides and bread. The Chicken & Dressing was a bit salty and the flavor just average. The potato w/brown gravy (who serves brown gravy with chicken and dressing???) was not very good and the sweet potatoes were way to sweet. Every time I have gone to 615 the food has been good. The 1st time I went I ordered fish, turnip greens, and mac & cheese with Kool-Aid. The lady gave me collards instead but I went ahead with it. I will say I wasn't a fan of their hot water cornbread and the sweet cornbread is on the mushy side. The 2nd time I went I got the pork chops and gravy with the same sides. The pork chops were thin, but was seasoned to perfection. The third time I went I stuck with my catfish. Overall the food is good. As far as the inside during lunchtime.... Empty. I really wanted to like and support this business. The first time I went, everything was so salty, I could barely eat it. The second time I went, I ordered chicken livers. I told the server "I'm not sure what this is; but it is not chicken livers". She replied it wasn't her problem; it was on the kitchen. I decided I would not return. When I heard that the Food Network had done a rescue and revamp. I decided to give them another chance, hoping the third time would be the charm. I tried this place over the weekend for a coworker's retirement party. The waitress was amazing. She made sure everyone have everything they needed and was able to handle a party of about 15 pretty much by herself. The restaurant is pretty spacious and can handle big parties so that's a plus. The food came out and really good. I'm very iffy on restaurants soul food but they impressed me enough that I put in a to go order. My only downfall is that I don't live in Murfreesboro. Yummy yummy food. Not sure if our waitress' name is Shanice, or it's the cashier's name in our receipt but our waitress was super helpful. Came here late at night, definitely catered towards a younger crowd. Had a DJ there playing some music a little too loud, but that could've been a one off thing I'm not sure. We came here for $2 chicken tacos on Tuesday and the tacos weren't bad at all! Nothing special really but satisfied my late night craving. Their fried catfish is fantastic however their queso dip is definitely not. I mean this in the most realistic way possible, the dip tasted like vomit. Great chicken sandwich and jumbo shrimp. Steak fries and baked beans were delish too. Food was hot and served promptly. Customer service was very good. Decent prices, and wide selection of food on the menu. They have a meat and two as well as a weekend special on Sunday's. This is a newly opened restaurant where Shoney's used to be. Only two people working the restaurant on a Friday lunch server was nice but overwhelmed. Catfish was rubbery.

Fried catfish was awesome. The sides (white beans & coleslaw) were very good as well. We were the only quest to eat inside but watched several people come pick up to go orders. Several TVs gave it the sports bar type feel which was fine for me. read more

Had to ask for waters for me and my daughter multiple times. Ordered queso appetizers and the cheese was ice cold. The waiter said he forgot to warm up the cheese. I found the place to be very clean and the food was very hot and delicious and the servers were very nice and there when when you needed something. If I had to critique anything I'm a lover of hot and sour soup and I didn't care for theirs, had all the ingredients but tasted kind of metallic or something so I didn't finish that. read more

I was actually really surprised we didn't like this spot as lovers of soul food. The chicken and dumplings were alright, but everything seemed a little bland and needed some seasoning and the drinks had a cup more sugar than any of them needed. This place is very nice and very clean but it's lacking in in someway. The food was good but not great, but the ingredients were fresh. The bartender had come over to him speaking to him rudely and very unprofessional. We had booked specific side of restaurant 2 months ago. We were asked to move. Mystery Meat + Gravy = Diarrhea! First time I tried this place everything was so salty I could feel my blood pressure go up. I still decided to give it a second chance. Second time I went, two of us ordered chicken livers. When our meals arrived, we could immediately see it was not chicken livers and told the server it was not what we ordered. She treated us like we were stupid and tried to convince us it was chicken livers. When she was told it tasted awful, she said that wasn't on her, that was on the kitchen. She didn't remove the charge or let us speak with the manager. We paid $20 for two sides, a roll, and kool aid. We should have insisted on speaking with the manager; but we were already running late. Went here for the first time a couple of days ago. First let me say the wings were very good. will order them again. Service....well not much of it. Had to flag down another waitress to get drinks, sauces, napkins etc. They also had on the menu 3 for 1 drinks. I order a drink but beer was not part of the deal. ordered 7&7 they didn't have that so ordered something else. Had to ask the other waiter for my second drink, then our waitress came I told her to bring my 3rd drink. She asked me if the other person asked me if it was 3for 1 I said yes, she left and came back with the drink and let me know that special was not for that night.
