This location is a tough one to manage and there are 4 full-time employees working to clean, organize and manage the place so it's safer, and more desirable. When I raised concerns about my TV being damaged during the move, I felt dismissed immediately instead of heard as a paying, repeat customer. My interaction with Patrick S. Dobson, the Vice President, was extremely unprofessional. After I responded once to explain my concerns, his reply included "this is not worth arguing over," despite the fact that there was no back-and-forth argument happening. I was simply trying to explain my perspective regarding the damage claim. The tone of the response came across as rude, defensive, and dismissive rather than customer-focused. I also do not believe the company properly handled the damage investigation. Photos were presented as if the damage was pre-existing, but the TV had no prior damage before the movers entered my home. If any issue had truly existed beforehand, it should have been clearly pointed out to me at the time. As someone who works with customers, professionalism and communication matter just as much as the service itself. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling unheard and disrespected, and because of that, I will not be using this company again.

The metal shed that is this facility (even indoors) was about 150 degrees (not good for furniture and art). There was no property manager anywhere. Had trouble getting in the gate, finding the elevator, and the unit. Phone number just went to answering machine. I left multiple messages because I was on the clock with movers. No one answered. Corporate gave me some other "personal" number for the manager, which just went right back to the answering machine. Now I have to spend more time and money to find a new facility that meets my needs, and move everything again. Do yourself a favor and run from this place and this company!

However, over the course of a year and a half, the monthly cost increased to more than $220.00. We called multiple times asking if the rate could be reduced. Each time, we were told that they had already lowered it twice and there was nothing more they could do. I also tried contacting the corporate office, but the representative I spoke with appeared to be working remotely and communication was difficult. According to the representative, notices about the rate increases were mailed to us. Unfortunately, we had moved and forgot to update our mailing address, so we never received those letters. Why not email us or send a text!!! That said, we didn't need a letter to notice the increases--we saw the higher charges every month on our Chase bank statement. Because of these constant price increases, we have decided to move to another storage facility. Unfortunately, the cost of relocating our belongings will now exceed $1,000, making the situation even more frustrating. Based on our experience, I would strongly caution others to carefully review the terms and potential rate increases before choosing Public Storage.
