Best lunch I've had in a long time. We were in town at a car dealership because my friend was checking on a new car. When we finished and mentioned we were heading to lunch, the dealer immediately recommended Delish Bistro as his favorite spot -- and he was absolutely right. The decor is upbeat with lots of seating. Guests order at the counter then the wait staff brings it to your table. My friend and I each ordered the Chinese Chicken Salad, which was fresh, crisp, and full of flavor. We shared the Garlic Herb Fries were outstanding -- perfectly seasoned and wonderfully crisp -- and the garlic aioli was excellent. Everything was delicious and beautifully done. Solid experience here tonight for dinner and dessert. The curry with shrimp added to it was simply delicious. The pepper and cauliflower flavors were cooked into the curry very well. Portions of rice were also great, along with their amazing macaroni salad. Their gelato prices and portions were also quite great as well. I am happy to post what a delightful time I had at Delish this past Saturday with my girlfriend having lunch. I love the seasonality of the menu and it had been a while since we don't live in Oregon anymore, meaning there were tasty new dishes to try like the Teriyaki Meatball bowl which we tried and loved. The older gentleman taking our order is always welcoming, friendly, and accommodating, as usual he charmingly took our order, recommending a delicious guava infused cider that was a perfect compliment for one of the best fish sandwiches I've ever had in my life. I and my girlfriend love coming here, not only because it's a hidden gem and one of our date places; this is a restaurant we are rooting so hard to succeed because of what they put into what they serve; great food, healthy ingredients, playful recipes, a focus on seasonal and quality. In a world of "restaurants" that microwave frozen dinners to overcharge you for processed junk, Delish Bistro is a passion project on a mission to show taste and quality are not something we should compromise on in our food. If you don't believe me, try the passion fruit vinaigrette and tell me it's not one of the finest salad dressings you've ever tried. So good! Food was great. Service lacked attention. I first called to place an order and was put on hold for 15 minutes. I thought maybe they were busy, good sign, so I decided to drive to the restaurant and place the order. When I arrived there were 2 customers in the place. I ordered my food and told them about being placed on hold for such a long time and neither of the 2 people working said anything. I got a deer in the headlights look so I left it alone. I took my food and have to say the salads were really good and so was the burger. Just know the service may not be great. read more

What a delightful find on our way from Seattle to visit friends in La Grande, OR! Got the teriyaki chicken plate and it was Fantastic - chicken was perfectly cooked, deliciously charred and the teriyaki sauce was light and flavorful (so glad we got extra); rice was fluffy and also perfectly cooked. The green salad with passion fruit dressing was an extra nice surprise and complemented the teriyaki well. Plus the inside was lovely and the staff warm and welcoming. Delish Bistro is a superb restaurant. I ended up ordering an appetizer and desert. And every course was impressive. The flank steak bruschetta was a unique (to me) plating and the tomato salad and seasoning on the plate were a perfect compliment. My salad had blueberry and a lot of grains and nuts along with spinach and was excellent as well. After those great dishes I just had to try desert and the key lime pie with graham cracker crust made it worth my while. Service was top notch and the whole menu looked interesting. I am just sorry I won't be back to Hermiston to try it out again. Full marks. read more

I asked the ladies at the front desk of our hotel for a restaurant recommendation- and this was their first recommendation. It did not disappoint! My husband and I both had burgers-very flavorful. We also tried several things from the bakery-all delicious. We missed getting a piece of rhubarb pie. I tried to get a piece the next day, but someone else beat me to it again! I reviewed DELISH over 4 years ago and have eaten there many times since then. My wife and I come up from the TriCities, WA area to enjoy whatever is trending. My wife always gets the Teriyaki Chicken and I always manage to sneak a bite and it is WONDERFUL! However, I am more adventurous, and it was rewarded today as I was able to try, for the first time . . . Korean BBQ Wings. They are some of the largest and tastiest wings I've ever tried and nothing will prepare you for the unique crunch. Great job! read more

Had an amazing lunch here! I had the chicken bacon ranch sandwich, and it was fantastic! I'm pretty sure they hand bread and cook it to order. It was excellently crispy and the tomato on it was high quality. Perfect ratio of ranch to the sandwich. The garlic herb fries were so good too! read more

What a gem! Truly one of the best burgers I've had the pleasure of eating. I got the Classic American with Wagyu beef and garlic fries. Also ordered a garden salad. Perfect portions, fresh, delicious, and made with care. I've lived all over to include Los Angeles, San Francisco, Baltimore, and Phoenix and the food at Delish would be competitive in any of those markets. At the risk of sounding like a snob, I had low expectations of a bistro in Hermiston tucked between a mattress store and Home Depot. I'm glad I didn't listen to the little voice saying run, because the food and service were excellent. I had the grilled cheese, which I expected to be mundane. The giant beast of a sandwich that was presented to me was anything but mundane. It was insane amounts of gruyere between two thick slices of house made brioche. So good! I ordered my usual wagu burger online at approximately 5:35 pm. The pick up time was said to be 6 pm, so I knew I had time to do a few things before I picked up my food. I left my house at 5:55 and arrived at 6 pm. When I arrived I saw an email that my food was ready at 5:44. An older man in a Hawaiian shirt asked me what I was doing and I told him I was picking up my food. I explained that I had a concern regarding my food. His demeanor and attitude was hostile from the beginning, which was very offputting. However, I proceeded to explain to him the situation and asked him if he would want to eat cold fries. And after thinking about it for a minute, he said that he would. I told him that I didn't want to eat cold fries. He said that he would not give me a new fries unless I gave him my old cold fries. But he said it in a very condescending negative offputting way. So I gave him my fries, and he went into the back to complain to the kitchen staff that I had complained about the cold fries. I'm not sure if he knew that I could hear him or not but it was just disrespectful. he proceeded to come out into the waiting area and told me to go sit down and not in a very nice way. I didn't go sit down. I instead remain standing and he approached me and told me that he was just trying to resolve the problem. I told him he wasn't. I told him that from the very beginning he had a terrible attitude and was negative. He said he wasn't and then said he wasn't gonna argue with me. I proceeded to tell him that now that I had to wait 5 to 10 minutes for new fries that my burger was gonna be. He threw his hands up. So I told him that I just wanted my money back that I wasn't gonna spend my money at an establishment that was gonna treat me the way he treated me. I told him that I hoped he wasn't the manager or owner because if he was, he was providing me with the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant. Turns out he was the owner, which was very disappointed to me as a result of being treated so poorly I will never return to Delish Bistro. read more

I am so disappointed, I have been looking forward to them putting the summer salmon bowl on the menu. It was on there last year and it was delicious. You were able to make a meal out of it, there was a decent size of salmon, and you were able to get it cooked to your specifications. This year that is not the case. The price has been raised to $27.75, which I would be more than ok with if you were able to make a meal out of it. The size of the salmon was laughable, it weight 42 grams, which is not even considered a serving. The bowl had very good flavor, but it most definitely was not worth the money. I did call an ask what size of salmon there was supposed to be and I was told 2 to 3 ounces. I feel they should be consistent in there serving size. read more

This delicious bistro has something for everybody, including people who truly enjoy the classics. The overall feel to this is somewhat retro and modern. Absolutely terrible experience. Only saving Grace was the red headed waitress with the septum nose ring that was trying her absolute best with what was happening. Upon entering the building it smelled TERRIBLE like a gas leak or rotten eggs, waited for an hour for our food, the food was burnt (see the pictures) and parts of the meal were forgotten, had originally ordered a mocha iced coffee but it tasted like sand, none of the employees were wearing masks or sanitizing, saw multiple tables and customers leave very upset. Management needs to get their act together because it is so unfair to the YOUNG STAFF that actually are trying their best but don't know what to do. Used to eat here regularly but after speaking with former employees and then having this experience I will never return. Y'all should be embarrassed with yourselves. read more

This small building with spacious seating is a treasure hidden back off the road. The food was absolutely incredible. Their menu has a small variety of unique dishes that you won't find everywhere, especially in such a small town. The lamb ragu was amazing, the asparagus salad was robust with creamy flavor, and the house-made gelato was the perfect end to the meal. I was a little leary about driving that far off interstate 5 to go to a bistro. But it was worth every mile. The Kailua Pork is amazing. I couldn't believe it was not cooked in the traditional ground pit. Also the passion fruit salad dressing is delicious. I bought 6 ounces to bring home. To top it off, the staff is awesome. I was stuffed from my pork, rice and salad. I had no room for dessert but that didn't stop the wonderful lady who offered me a sample of their house made sorbets.
