Took my car here for a check engine light after pep boys told me a solenoid needed to be replaced and they couldnt do it. The owner Chris re-diagnosed the the problem and agreed a solenoid needed to be replaced. He charged me almost $800 dollars and when I picked the car up the check engine light was still on and I now had a completely flat tire. Chris tried to tell me the tire was probably already leaking before I dropped it off despite me having driven hundreds of miles with no issues over the last several weeks. We then discovered there was a nail now in the tire that one of his employees had driven over in their parking lot. They patched the tire and told me they would fix the problem. Chris calls me 2 days later saying now he thinks its just the wiring but it will cost another $600 dollars to fix. He stated its not his fault he didnt fix the problem correctly the first time since "I told him to fix the solenoid" even though he called me and said he diagnosed that as the problem as well. He finally fixed a wiring issue after a week of working on the car and charged an additional $600 because he could figure out the problem the first time. The professional thing to do would have been to correctly diagnose and fix the problem the first time like a competent mechanic instead of becoming defensive and blaming the customer and the charging them twice for your own incompetence. If I could give 0 stars I would TLDR: I asked this guy to fix a check engine light. He couldnt figure out the problem, blamed me, popped one of my tires and charged me twice. I will never go back. Please do not waste your money here.

Bought the lifetime alignment a few years ago. Went in about a month or so ago. They never even…read moreadjusted anything and let me leave with EVERYTHING being out of spec. I didn't realize it until after I was on the road. Took it back 3 days later and they magically found a cam pin was broken off so they couldn't adjust the one driver side front caster. Started hearing a popping noise a few days later when I turned it to the left coming from the front driver side tire. Made an appt for 3pm. I got there, explained the situation. The technician said "I'm pretty sure we don't do anything with the control arms during alignments and that we just to the tie rod ends but I could be wrong." Tells me he was down a tech and it'd be about a 30 min wait. I said fine, I'll be back. 530pm I call to see if it's done, he says it hasn't even been looked at and wouldn't be looked at before they close tonight because the only tech he has on after 5pm is a maintenance only tech and can't touch the machine. I'm sorry what!? Whats the point in employing a technician if they can't do full work? Especially since this is likely an issue that you've caused and this is the third time I'm coming back within 2 months! Stay far away from the Dover Firestone. They're putting your safety and money at risk.

From the minute I walked in, I could see this was a serious shop! They put all my info in their system and the computer will automatically send me a text when it's time for service and it calbrates it's notifications when it understands it's waiting too long or not long enough It learns to adjust. Work I needed was carefully explained especially when there is a cheaper route that they didn't recommend, and I was explained why the more expensive route was best and offered ways to complete the work over time, at my own pace if I didn't want to spend that much at once. I don't know much about rotors and even after just 1 visit, I had no doubt that what he was recommending was for value over cost and without hesitation, I went with their recommendations. That is what Ilike best! service is fast, and they are all super friendly and courteous and the prices are correct.
