Inquired about which grade of oil. 3 options, Std Oil, Blend, and full Synthetic. Full Synthetic had cost at $111.99. I chose the synthetic. While others started the oil change process the greeter started the upsell process. Not surprised, however due to busy schedule I agreed to the cabin filter change. (We all know this is a big markup). Interesting that while the cabin filter was being inspected they placed a Purolator box on the passenger seat. I guess the purpose was to make me think it would be a Purolater filter. Surprise!! it was not. I was informed that I needed a tire rotation. I responded with surprise as I had less than 2,000 miles on the tires. The response was that whoever installed tires did not load info into Carfax. I was surprised that my information was being submitted to Carfax and stated my refusal to submit my info. I was told it had to be submitted. Really!!!!!! . I was informed that the both transfer cases were due to be drained and refilled. Cost of ~$129 ea. Vehicle has 60,000 miles. The owners manual recommends this at well over 150,000 miles. Once I got my final bill I was surprised to find that the cost of oil at $111.99 was supplemented with a charge for "Extra Oil" of $29.98. I was never informed of this additional cost or the reason for it. The VIN would include info on oil amount of oil required. The overpriced Cabin Filter price had increased on the receipt around 20%. I discussed with person I was lead to believe was the manager and he just dropped his head, with no further comment. I paid crazy money for full synthetic oil and my oil change sticker is set at 3,000 miles. I thought Valvoline Oil was a better quality. Always dealer changed and set at 5,000mi.

I paid $1600 for the service. About a week later, the front tire on the passenger side falls off my car (due to improperly installed lug nuts) while it's in motion. This caused extensive damage that ended up totaling my car. The company accepted full liability, but once they learned that the damage would cost more to fix than the value of my car, they were no longer willing to fix it. The claims department offered a settlement for what they deemed to be the value of the car. Although, I was financing the vehicle, so I could not accept it. Aside from the eventual conclusion of the car being deemed a total loss, I had to deal with a tow truck driver threatening to impound my car due to not being paid by Firestone. I also had to deal with Enterprise Rental Car threatening to charge my debit card since they hadn't been paid either. Both situations took emotional distress and anger on my part to resolve. The accident happened in October of 2025 and my car wasn't fully evaluated and totaled out until February of 2026. This was a long, drawn out, tragedy that I was made to pay out of pocket for due to the circumstances. Go ANYWHERE else!
