I will never. Ever. In my life. Take another thing here. All i wanted was an alignment. They left a bolt lose and didn't tighten it enough. As my car is banging. And clanking. After the alignment. Changing parts to find the root of it. To than find out they didn't tighten the bolt on the front wheel. The alignment bolt? Now it's rusty. I spent money trying to see what i may have done? Had that fallen out? Had my kids been in the car with me? Thanks for nothing guys. read more

I recently ordered 2 slightly use tire on eBay but it pretty new it has 7.95 /32 99% tire threat, and I needed to replace two front tire for my Honda Accord because it tearing off day by day,and the job was done pretty quick here. The owner was super friendly guy he treat his customer with genuine care and advice. Total of the cost of replacing 2 new tires came out to be $300. At the Honda dealer they quote me for around $999 to get all four tire done. Yet since my car is a front wheel drive the front wheel tire are more wear and tear, but the back 2 tire still in good condition. Therefore Tire King help me save some money there. Went to Tire King because my check engine light was on. 135.00 later, I drove off. Initially, check engine light was off. But it came back on before I got back to work which was right down the street from the shop. I couldn't take it back until the next day. Well, they said that happens sometimes and refused to refund my money. Went elsewhere to hv my car serviced. They found, and fixed the issue. Had to pay another 100.00 for the same issue but at least it was fixed. Never, ever going back. read more

Being a female, I always feel like mechanics try to get one over one me. Not here. I first started coming here when I saw an ad for 4-wheel balance and alignment for a very good price. I made an appointment, and everything was great. My car was ready when they said it would be. When I went to pick it up, I was shown the before and after alignments and got to keep the a copy of all the work orders. They didn't try to get over on me by suggesting services I didn't need. They didn't try to get over on me by telling me there was something else wrong with my car. The young man DID tell me my tread was starting to wear thin and that they rotated my tires for me at no extra charge to add longevity to my tread. He even showed me how to check my tread with a penny! Another year or so later, when my tires were on the last bit of tread, I went right back to Tire King and purchased tires. I had no idea what kind of tires to get, but I did know I wanted all-season/all-weather tires. The same young man helped me pick out a great set of tires with excellent reviews, and they were in by the end of the week! I found the same tires online for more than what Tire King was charging me on TireRack.com (of which they are an authorized installer), so I really felt like I was being taken care of as a customer without being ripped off. They've serviced my car for almost everything, and not once did I feel like I was being shafted. I now have a new (albeit used) car, and recently purchased tires for it (an SUV) based off their recommendations. Although I don't live in Dover anymore, I still go to Tire King for at least my tire, brake, and alignment services. Plus the fact that they are a local, family owned business... I'm glad they are around and hope that they continue to stay in business for years. read more

Very expensive. I took my car in to have a tire pressure sensor kit installed (grommet and washer NOT the valve stem) Was charged $35 and was told that the kit costs $15. On further research the same kit is available for $2 at AutoZone and Firestone charges a total of $20 including labor and parts to do the same work! Based on Yelp reviews, we took one of our vehicles for an oil change last week. Wait to see if any issues with leaking, etc. and there were NONE. This place is the gold standard for car and tire work. I could not recommend them enough. It's one of the rare car places you can trust. Every time I've come in here they've gotten to me fast, told me exactly what's going wrong, and went over all the different options to fix it. I came in today expecting to pay over $100 for what I wanted fixed but they had a way to fix it for $30 which covered everything I needed. I was ready to pay for the expensive fix but they made sure to let me know about the other way, and that speaks volumes to the character of the establishment. Unlike that other evil tire place down the road known as Capitol Tire & Auto Service .......Tire King is King and takes care of their customers. I made the mistake of trying capital tire out on a friends recommendation and they were horrible quoted me $169 for my back brakes then when I go there they look at my car and say it will be $600 because we are going to do the front also and replace all 4 rotors. I did not ask them to check my front brakes and then I told him I could not afford a 600 dollar job and that I just want what I asked for which was the back pads and he told me NO! and that will be $35 for the brake inspection that I also did not ask for. I told this story to the guys at Tire King and they told me no problem with getting me the back pads just come back tomorrow morning at 8 and we'll take care of you for $129. Thank god for these guys because i was ready to explode on that Capitol Tire & Auto Service guy with his arrogance. I'll be coming back to Tire King in 2 more weeks for my front to get done which I would have explained to that Capitol Tire & Auto Service moron because my brakes where already inspected. Sorry for the ramble and thank you Tire King I'll never waiver from you again unless your closed and it's an emergency. read more

I would highly recommend this shop to anyone in the central DE region. I was referred here by a friend who could not heap enough praise on this place. As I was due for new tires, I thought I'd give them a shot. Unfortunately after install, I had some whistling sounds at speeds higher than 40 mph. I came by the shop to get it checked out and multiple shop employees took my car out on test drives to troubleshoot the issue. They then continued troubleshooting by swapping out tires, two at a time and eventually decided it was likely due to the new tires and allowed me to place an order for four different tires. Although this was a stressful situation for everyone involved, the guys at the shop were very accommodating and helpful every step of the way. WORST customer service treatment EVER! Took my car in for a wheel alignment. They broke the hood latch cord when popping the hood and then denied it. Adding insult to injury, Kate was extremely rude and unprofessional to deal with; she was incapable of having a rational conversation.
