The staff is top notch and very accommodating! They ordered me a brand new 2023 Yukon Denali to my specifications. Unlike other dealerships who wanted to charge 10, 20 or 30 over sticker I paid not a penny more than MSRP. My trade-in value was very fair and in fact more than I was expecting. The customer service I received was fantastic including calls and texts prior to my arrival. The car was fully ready for me when I arrived to seal the deal. My car was towed there more than 3 weeks ago for damage to the bumper and muffler from an accident that wasn't my fault. The parts were ordered and on site 2 weeks ago and i was promised as soon as the parts arrived I'd have my car in a few days. Now 2+ weeks later I went from being one of the next cars they were going to work on to "I don't know when your car will be fixed." Was originally told I'd have my car back by 7/17 and now am being told some time in August...absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional and untruthful. Very happy with my experience here. I was traveling through the area from out of town when my brakes unexpectedly locked and my engine light came on and my car immediately became unsafe to drive. We got in around 7:30am and explained and they were very friendly and accommodating. They had to go pick up a part to fix my car and got it installed and running by 2pm that day so we could continue on our road trip. TWO BLOWN ENGINES - SHOP ELSEWHERE! I purchased a 2011 Chevy Equinox from Kent County Motors in early 2018. From the very beginning this car was nothing but a nightmare from me. Within days of me purchasing it, the vehicle began having severe issues. On multiple occasions I took it back to their service center for help. They merely changed my battery and cleaned a sensor despite an extremely rough idle and jerking of the vehicle. The battery and air sensor did not fix the above issues. Approximately three weeks later the engine had blown and I was stranded on the side of the road. But these weren't the only issues this vehicle had. In fact, the vehicle had multiple issues from the moment I bought it: - The A/C was not functioning properly and still leaks - The oil level sensor was not functioning properly - There was a four feet long BB gun under the backseat when I purchased it - And ultimately the engine completely blew and needed replaced I had communicated all of these issues to the dealership from the very beginning and maintained proof of my communications with the dealership. The Vice President, Jay Whitby, communicated to me that the engine had blown after I brought it back the last time. Jay told me that his opinion was that the engine was vandalized and that's why it blew. Specifically, he said there was no oil in the engine and there was no leak so someone must have vandalized my Equinox by draining all of the oil out of it (yea, right). This struck me as really odd as Ashley (the sales person) had specifically showed me the feature on the vehicle which showed that the oil life was at 100% when I purchased it. It also seemed weird as I brought it back to them multiple times leading up to this issue and they never once commented on the oil level. Jay then made it seem like Kent County was going to do everything they could to help me after the engine blew. But instead, I got a JASPER remanufactured engine installed. This remanufactured engine blew approximately one year later at no fault of my own. Now, I am having to pay $2,700.00 out of pocket for this new engine and Kent refuses to help with the labor costs of this new engine. They could have put in a GM engine but instead, they chose to put in a remanufactured engine with severe limitations on the warranty. I just want shoppers to be informed about my experience with Kent County Motors. I would never do business with Kent again and caution anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from Kent, not to shop there. read more

After dealing with another dealership and the nightmare they put me through, this place was a breath of fresh air. I got a good deal at a fair price and I got there as they were closing and they didn't rush me or kick me out and made me feel at ease even though I was keeping them all late. Bought my car and everything about it was good. I visited over 20 dealerships in the last two weeks and walked out of about 50% because I caught them in a lie and the others because they didn't have anything that fit my needs. But after all those dealerships this place got the deal because they were honest and a pleasure to work with. Would purchase future vehicles here! read more

Since I relied on all the great reviews of this dealership when deciding to purchase a car from them I feel I should give my experience. I was looking at a used suv which is no longer made but that we were interested in because it's large enough to add an extra seat to. They're difficult to find in good shape with low miles so I was willing to make the 700 mile trip to Dover to pick it up. I trusted and relied on the salesman to give me all the details about the vehicle and answer my questions honestly. Unfourtunely, after buying the car I discovered that he had lied about several things. Some were minor, such as him telling me there was no aftermarket window tint when in fact there was, while others were major. He told me there were no mechanical issues when I asked the question directly. Less than a week after picking it up it was already in the shop for brake work. The truly egregious statement he made was telling me it was in 'pristine condition'. His words, not mine. He told me this knowing that I was purchasing it with the intention of adding a seat. While it was in our local shop for the brakes we were told that it has a lot of rust underneath. The rust is so extreme that it extends to the metal brackets in the interior of the car that hold the seats in place. The mechanic asked if it was a salvage vehicle or had been left outdoors abandoned for a length of time due to the extent of the rust. The rust was so extreme that the brake rotors couldn't be smoothed out and had to be completely replaced. The problem now is that there is so much rust on the frame that we have been advised it would be unsafe to attempt to bolt an additional seat onto it (using a kit made for this purpose). As is it cannot accommodate our entire family so we can't keep it. Kent county motors has offered to buy it back.... for $4,351 less than what we paid them just a couple weeks ago. Had the salesman been upfront and honest I never would have purchased this vehicle. We're a military family and have to move soon so we have no other option than to accept their offer and take the loss for their dishonesty. If you choose this dealer take someone you trust with you who can check to make sure the condition the salespeople are stating the vehicles are in is true. read more

He complained about looking it up, looked it up, quoted the price and hung up. Haha. Wow. Anyhow, just a heads up. This was my second time visiting the service section of the dealership. The first was for regular oil change and maintenance. What I liked was the fact that the service rep (Tony Hall) listened to my complaint of drivability issues and what was happening. After writing it up and the tech looking it over and figuring out that there would be a week wait for me to have the truck back they set me up with a loaner. This helped me out a lot so that I was able to get to work and back as I needed. The truck was returned when fixed and works great now. The service writer, and mechanic did a great job of passing information that I needed to be comfortable that my truck was being worked on properly. That was a great assurance to me because of how I spoil my vehicles and like that when I am without them they are treated right. read more

I purchased a vehicle and was not even able to accept if or over two weeks due to the fact that it had multiple issues. I later was told that I had to take the vehicle through inspection myself! What?!? They never even inspected the vehicle at all? If this is the kind of professionalism you expect, go ahead. As for me, my friends, family and anyone who reads this, avoid this place like the plague. You'll be sorry if you don't. The classic bait and switch going on here.. Online they have a Shop, click and buy deal where you buy online and they deliver, they also have a trade in estimator. So I buy a truck, do a trade in evaluation with their website and their numbers. I make the appoint for the truck to be delivered. They email me in the morning, I email back to confirm the appointment. They never show, then when I call they tell me they were too busy to check their email.. Then they tell me they cant honor their own trade in estimator numbers, and then low ball the trade value.. Buyer beware here !! Pure con !! read more

I went into this dealership with an approved loan. I was ready to walk out with my chosen vehicle which I had driven an hour to purchase. After sitting and waiting I was told that I would need to give the dealership more money down than the agreed up amount in my loan approval, this didn't come from the loan company it came from the dealership. After calling the loan company I found out they were charging more than what the vehicle was worth and they had approved the dealership to sell me the car for an appropriate amount. The salesperson wouldn't even work with me in order to finish the sale. If you plan on getting a fair price and have approval prior to going to a dealership don't pick this one. read more

This review is about the excellent treatment from the Service Department. My son and his group of friends attended the Fire Fly event and once they got to the location right out side of going in our Yukon died. Dead, going nowhere. Contacted Kent County Motors by doing a Goggle search and had the car towed to them that day. They kept me informed of the progress the entire time our car was in their service department, as it needed a fuel pump and various other repairs (including a recall I was not aware of) and had the car ready for my son to return home before the Festival ending. Thanks Kent Motors Sales for the EXCELLENT service department. Kind of worrisome being so far away but they did a wonderful job of fixing our car and made mom very happy! read more

Terrible experience, actually my worst yet in my 20 years of being a driver and purchasing vehicles. First test vehicle (GMC Yukon XL) was out of gas, second needed to be jumped b/c of a dead battery. Not to mention the dead bugs and dirt. I was treated like a novice driver being taken to a parking lot before i was allowed to drive the car. I endured all of this just to be treated like an idiot when I questioned the manager's math (there was about 3-4K unaccounted for with his calculation of my monthly car payments). Totally not worth the time this experience took away from my kids tonight. I hope they will read this and treat the women coming in tomorrow with a little more respect! read more

Buyer beware! If you want to buy a used car at a stereotypical "used car dealer" this is the place to go! I bought a newer used truck from them a few weeks ago with a known issue that I discovered on the test drive but still agreed to buy the truck because they gave me a written guarantee they would fix it no matter what. That turned out to be worthless and $900 later Winner Ford fixed my truck and they called Kent County Motors who said go ahead and fix it and we will pay the customers back, that didn't happen. I should've been concerned when I bought the truck they were really pressuring me to get a loan through a bank that they were getting kickbacks from and I said no I like my bank they treat me good and I'm a loyal customer and they basically called me stupid for not wanting to save money, that should've been my first clue they have have no idea about customer loyalty or what it means to have repeat customers. My father in law was actually looking at buying a truck here but after this fiasco he will definitely go somewhere else to avoid the headaches, lies, and games! read more
