As we all know, the process of purchasing a car can be an exhausting, daunting and a stressful task at times- but this was not the case with my most recent visit to Price Honda. We received a letter from Price Honda about stopping in to check out some deals and their willingness to potentially present us with an offer we couldn't refuse. With initial hesitation, we set up an appointment to see if they could truly make a deal happen based on the terms presented in the letter. My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Justin Silva who helped us take care of our current lease we acquired through Price Honda previously. Justin is a great Honda specialist who took the time to reach out to me earlier in the day before our scheduled appointment and greeted us upon arrival. Perhaps it is our "Hawaii Connection" that made the process easy, but Justin provided great customer service as he remembered our current situation, listened with intent, and ultimately provided the ideal vehicle that met all of our needs. Although I know I gave him some pushback throughout the negotiation process, I appreciate his ability to multi-task as he balanced dealing with us and another couple simultaneously. In addition to Justin, I enjoyed working with Jim in the Finance Department. He worked diligently to crunch the numbers to make the deal work even, but most importantly, he honored the letter brought in and established terms that reflected the offer. I couldn't believe how simple the paperwork process was as it was seamlessly done electronically for the most part. If you drive a beater, and do not care about your car, look no further- this is the place to service your vehicle! I came in on 3/17- had an oil change and several other services performed totaling over $400. I left with a massive scratch on my brand new Honda HRV, and a 50% completed alignment- but was charged full price. The mechanic said he didn't feel like making the necessary adjustments. What in the hell? I've never heard that. He said in his opinion, it wasn't urgent. He's probably not driving a brand new car himself- why would his opinion trump the manufacturer set specs? And barely spoke clear English to top it off?? I can see why his performance is not up to par... They did try to fix the scratch, but failed 4 times in the past week to do so. Everyone at Price Honda, located in Dover Delaware, were welcoming, friendly, professional and all about customer service. Our sales consultant was Brian Tapley and the finance manager was JC Clogg. I was forced into buying a car due to an accident that was not my fault. I visited many car dealerships along the way where there was limited stock and no one coming out to talk to me or even acknowledging I was there. Price Honda in Dover was different! It was a cold and windy day when I pulled onto the lot. I hopped out to look at a vehicle's invoice details and planned on jumping back in and driving around the lot. Brian Tapley met me in the lot, asked what I was looking for, invited me into the dealership while he found the specific model, and brought it to me to give it a test drive. Brian met me as soon as I returned and took me in to talk details and options. I chose to buy the vehicle but needed a trailer hitch upgrade.Brian made all the arrangements and stayed in contact the whole time. He made sure the vehicle was ready on-time and made an appointment for pick-up!  JC Clogg was friendly, professional, and engaging. He heard what I was saying/asking, understood I was waiting for the insurance check, and worked with me on the process/timeline. Forgot about it until today, 6/1/2024, when same issue reoccurred. Dropped car off 5/31/2024 for oil change and maintenance. They said it'll be done today by 1 PM and they'd call us when it was done. Called 2 PM. It's not done. Asked if there was anything needs done . They said they'd call if there was. They said they'd call when car s done. Called 4 PM since they close at 5 PM. It's not done. Asked if there was anything needs done . They said if there was they'd have called. They said they'd call when it was done. By 4:30 PM they never called.I drove to Price Honda . Literally the worst experience of my life dealing with the service department. Customer service is awful. I was scheduled a week in advance and when I arrived they stated that they had no loaner vehicle for me and I should have requested it. I asked why it was not offered and they stated that they do not offer it. When I rescheduled the appointment, I was told that a loaner would be available BUT to call the next morning just to make sure. I asked them to contact me if it WAS NOT available and they said "we don't do that, you have to call". When I brought the vehicle in, I was told that there was no way to tell me if my extended warrenty would cover the service and I would need to sign financial responsibility if it was not covered. I asked them why they sold me a warrenty if they were uncertain of the coverage and the response was, "This is how all dealerships work. I was looking to replace my Honda CR-V Hybrid with a non-Hybrid, because there is not hitch kit for the hybrid. To find out how much my car was worth I went online to find the Kelly Blue Book value. I received a call from Price Honda with an interest in buying my car. I informed the representative that I would want to replace my car with either a nearly new or new vehicle. We set the appointment up and when I arrived the representative refused to show me any cars in the inventory and would not give me a trade in value for a new vehicle. Bought a used 2008 Honda Civic from here a few years ago, but when I came back in to trade it for a new vehicle, an employee was hateful with me. I know exactly who he was, and it was unacceptable. Maintenance: New tires, new brakes (front & back), resurface rotors, oil/filter change, engine & cabin air filter change When I made the appointment, I was told my car would be ready by 3:00pm. I dropped off my car at 8:30am. At 11:07am, I inquired about the status of my vehicle. I was told that it still had not been taken to the back. At 2:00pm, I received a call and was told that they did not have the front brakes for my car. The person on the phone attempted to convince me that they didn't need to be changed. I told him that I want all new parts and to change them. Unfortunately, since they did not have the brakes and had to "reorder" them, I will be inconvenienced again by bringing my vehicle back to have the brakes changed. To make matters worse, my car wasn't ready until about 4:30pm. The service department failed. They get 2-stars because they attempted to make things right by taking $30 off my almost $1,300 bill. My time is worth more than $30. Service gets an UNSAT rating from me. After my brakes are changed I will take my business elsewhere. read more

My family and I worked with Rafael Gomez on purchasing a used minivan. We spoke to multiple dealerships before deciding to buy from Rafael and Price Honda. I have to say that working with Rafael was the best experience I've had with a car salesperson. Rafael was very prompt in answering all of our questions and the test drive with him was also great. He explained all features of the minivan in great detail. Price Honda's fantastic prices are what made us drive all the way from Virginia to Delaware to consider purchasing the car. Rafael's amazing attitude and demeanor is what made us close the deal. The only item that I was not too pleased with is that their paperwork department took too long in getting us the Virginia tags. So on 29 Oct 19 I had an appointment with CTCA up North in the city. On the way back from my visit my "Lamp Light" came on. We pulled over to check which on of the bulbs were shot. It was the light on the right when braking. Called Honda in Dover yes they have the bulb in stock. Cost $5.47. Asked how much to install $27.00. Ok stopped in purchased the bulb. Was told do not have to make appointment to have bulb installed. Since I was in the area and hard time. Pulled in to have bulb replaced. 5 mins later clerk comes over to tell me that the socket is cracked and seal is deteriorated and that part would cost me $87.00. Plus the $27.00 to install. So a $27.00+5.47 = $32.47 now 87.00-$27.00= $60.00 so I say to the clerk that I normally work with "are there any coupons or discount " that I could get to off set the cost. She said to my clerk give her $15.00 off "she is a very good customer." So this morning Saturday. I get this review and noticed my bill. I have not gotten the bulb install yet. Keep in mind I purchased the bulb on my own. See receipt. "Guess I will ask for an explanation when I stop in to get it installed. read more

If you are looking for a dealer that is helpful and reasonable, bypass this dealership. I use to sell cars and presently work where I see what dealers are selling and buying and what they pay. Due to this position, I also work with KBB values as well. I was planning on financing and gave them my status and what I can afford. After the salesman was unable to close the deal, this when the manager enters the talks directly. I wasn't happy what they were offering on my trade. The manager showed me what others were paying. My response, "we aren't others." Another dealer was offering 6500. This didn't matter. The manager pulled out the "deal sheet" and presented payments that were $150 more a month I could afford. I told him my job and my familiarity with this which seemed to aggravate him. I told him this, "if you really want to make this deal you will do what you can to make this happen." His response, "no I can't." So I shook my head, shook the hand of Josh, the salesman and walked out. When I was leaving, Josh said he'd call to follow up on possible other deals. I haven't heard from him since. So if your back is against the wall, time limited, you don't have a million dollars and are looking for a good deal, go elsewhere. Matt C serves as an outstanding representative for the dealership. I bought a 2014 Accord Hybrid from Price a few days ago. I communicated with Matt mainly via email because I am not local to them. I was given an offer that was well within the range of a "good price" from TrueCar.com. Given the limited availability of the car and the demand for it, I was pleasantly surprised to get the deal that I got. Every piece of paperwork that could have been done prior to me driving to Price was done, and was done correctly. In a pinch, Matt even followed me to the local Avis to drop off my rental before starting the remaining paperwork as the Avis office was closing shortly after I arrived at Price. I signed a few papers, quickly went over the key features of the car, and drove away. Considering that I drove 2 hours after work on a Monday to get there, I greatly appreciated the short amount of time it took to complete everything. I really couldn't have asked for more from Price. I had such a wonderful experience throughout the whole car buying and service experience. Bryna Dalton truly helped me pick out the vehicle that was best for me, and I'm very picky! I appreciated how patient and knowledgeable she was about the vehicles. The financing portion was very quick and I walked out that evening a proud owner of a 2018 Accord. I had purchased accessories (heated steering wheel, body side moldings and all season mats) and I was promptly contacted from Bryna and service when my accessories came in. I did a night before drop option which was quick and convenient for my schedule. I was texted in the morning confirming my vehicle was there for service and was updated throughout the day. Classic bait and switch...I was recently in the market for a Toyota Tacoma Limited and had sent an inquiry to Price Honda through their website. I received a reply from one of their sales associates letting me know the vehicle was available and the price. I replied saying I was interested in moving forward at the quoted price and asked what steps I needed to take to hold the vehicle. When I did not get a reply, I called the office and was told that the price I had been quoted was for a different Tacoma that had "sold yesterday". When I asked to see the details of that vehicle I was told that they could not provide any details of a sold vehicle and that the vehicle I wanted was now magically going to be ~$6K more than what was quoted. Despite speaking to a sales manager and requesting that they meet somewhere in the middle the response I got was the price was firm and unapologetic. As you might imagine I was pretty disappointed that there was little understanding for what had occurred as I had let other vehicles go thinking this one would be a fit. It was not as if I had made multiple inquiries about different vehicles - it was one inquiry about one specific vehicle. Again, no willingness to arrive somewhere in the middle or take responsibility for the frustration created. This was my first interaction with Price Honda and it will be my last. My advice is skip this dealership and work with one that honors what price they put in writing so you don't go through the same headache. read more

You should never come here! I just bought a car from here about a year ago and I've had nothing but problems with it. I had a transmission (I still feel slippage at times), battery problems, headlight problems (that are still going on) and tire problems. On top of me having problems with my car....when I go back to say something they push me off as if nothing is happening with my car. I've never had so many problems with a car like I do with this new Honda. I would not recommend you or your family to come here. If I could rate this less than a one star then I would! Didn't get a call to pick it up until 6:45pm which I live 1hr away, so told to come and get it first thing in the morning. I drove from Rehoboth Beach to Dover to meet with a sales person to start the process of buying a Honda Accord EX L V6. After reading online reviews I felt confident this would go well, but that's not the case. My partner & I explained that we wanted the Honda Accord EX L V6 Steel Gray / Gray interior and asked the salesman to write up his best offer. He wrote up the offer which we reviewed but told him we would go have lunch & talk about the numbers. The salesman wouldn't let us take the numbers with us so we took a pic. Over lunch we agreed the price was too high so we left a voicemail with the salesman asking him to give us better pricing. We then drove home. The following day we received a follow up call from the salesman and he wouldn't talk numbers over the phone, he said we would have to make another trip up to discuss. I contacted Pohanka in Salisbury and explained what I wanted and I wanted to be able to see / discuss numbers over the phone or in email. They were all too happy to do that! On that same day, Pohanka came back with an offer that was $2600 less than Price Honda. VERY disappointed in the old school way Price Honda operates and the salesman's unwillingness to work with us over the phone or email!! Although I found the vehicle on the website and went into the dealership with the information, Doug assisted with the test drive and provided all applicable information regarding the Honda Certified used vehicle warranty information. He did not pressure us in any way and offered to allow us to test drive other vehicles in case there were other options that met our criteria. The accessory and finance team were knowledgeable and facilitated the process of ordering Weather Tech mats and completing the finance process. Worst car buying experience ever. Salesman Doug G did not seem interested in what we wanted, did not review the various packages and options, did not review the options nor even gat in the car that we test drove. Consequently, we did not really get the features we wanted. We wanted Sirius XM, and they sold us an add-on that was not designed for our model car. The service and parts department sent us home with no instructions how to make it work. On a third trip to the dealership--more than 80 miles round trip for us--it took 4 techs more than 4 hours to figure out how to make Sirius work. Then another two hours a week later because I couldn't remember some of the instructions. We wanted a navigation system and they recommended an add-on that I bought as part of a "Honda link" system, which cost about $160 to make functional. Again, no demonstration and no instruction. The navigation system was likewise awful. I tried to deal with these issues with Price, but Doug G does not even return my calls. Had I known, I would have bought a different model or another make entirely. The salesmen and the staff at Price are dismissive of customers, rude, and arrogant. Update: December 19, 2015. THANKS TO YELP, I was contacted by the sales manager at Price Honda, Jamey T., who had seen my Yelp review and was concerned about my negative experience at Price. This was after I had not gotten any feedback from my complaint to American Honda Corp, who promised to contact the dealer and had complained to at least two other employees at Price, including the salesman, who refused to talk to me. I was trying to get an exchange for a model that had the features we wanted, but Doug G never responded. So it was only by reviewing on Yelp that caused the dealership to respond. Anyway, Jamey was quite helpful. He asked what the dealership could do to help. I asked for a refund on the useless Sirius add on, since we had already purchased an after market audio system, and he agreed to that. I also told him that we usually went to the dealer where we purchased our car for service, but I had vowed never to return to Price. He offered us two years of free maintenance if we would come back, so we accepted. We have received the refund and coupons for service. My interactions with the sales manager were very positive, and he seemed sincerely interested in resolving my problem, even indicating that, in some cases, Price will take back a car. We still do not have a CRV with all the features we wanted, but we are now satisfied with the car. We will try Price's service, and if that merits a positive review, I will add some stars to this review. read more
