Their Ford Certified mechanic was there and he diagnosed a bad fuel pump as soon as he tried to start the car. I was told it would be a few hours and given some restaurant suggestions while I waited. She told the shop employee that he would have to discuss it with me. He then tried to sell me new tires. He said that they were down to the wear indicator. I told him that I would check the condition of the tires and purchase some when I needed to. I would shop around for the best value. He interrupted me and said, "WE HAVE TIRES HERE." Duh!!! The name Firestone Tires would have given me that clue!!) My response was "I know, but I will shop around," and I thanked him for the advice. He then said, "NEVER MIND" and hung up the phone. He must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed this morning!!!! When we picked up the car, the invoice said, "THE CUSTOMER DECLINED TO EVEN TALK ABOUT PRICING OF TIRES." That is a lie. I asked him twice to turn it down, and on the third time (as I was leaving) it was loud again. I mentioned it to the guy at the counter -- pretty sure his name was Brian -- and he handled it really well and made it up to me. For the record, this clown also pulled his truck right up to the door instead of parking like a normal person. The staff already thought he was a total a$$, so I'm not the only one who noticed. Honestly, I hope his truck breaks down with no one around to help. POS. That said -- Meineke was great. The waiting room is spacious, the car shows on TV are fun to watch, and the staff is professional. Just beware of low-IQ morons with no manners who think everyone wants to hear their cell phone in public.
