If I could give a 0 I would. The lashes would fall out within days of having them put on. I was charged the monthly fee after not returning for 4 weeks and they charged by debit card. When I called the next day to get my money back they said they don't issue credits if you don't call and cancel your membership. I asked explained my terrible experience and the manager said that there was nothing she could do. DO NOT GO TO THE CALDWELL STORE! AS A MATTER OF FACT, DON'T GO TO DEKALASH PERIOD. I'm so disappointed. First set literally came off in clumps! I called and got a second set "complimentary" and were very good. I happily kept my membership thinking it would be worth it. Went yesterday for refill, and today one eye lost all lashes on one side? I called and was told the only complimentary fill is once every 6 months and I used mine already....all I want is to have someone fill in what fell out in less than 24 hrs. So now I've spent over 400 on lashes that lasted me one month. Next time I'll set my money on fire. How is this even a franchise? read more

I got my lashes done about a week and a half ago. The first day they looked great. Then they started to fall out, at least 8 or 9 a day. On top of that the glue they used gave me an allergic reaction and made my eyes burn and itch horribly. Now my lashes look splotchy. Being somewhat of an eyelash Pro, having them done in several very professional high end places I am mortified at the customer service lack of knowledge and overall attitude with every single employee at the West Caldwell studio. I live on the other side of the county but happen to be in the area so I made an appointment and thought I would give them a chance. Their policy was very miss communicated and not explained well whatsoever. I clearly stated I was not happy and for a full hour felt that I had a few lashes put on it almost looked like nothing. I went back the next day and they "gave me another hour which really didn't make much of a difference. The lashes were very sparse and Danielle seem to be in a rush and annoyed that she had to give me an additional service. Within a few days the lashes were getting thinner and already falling out. I received a phone call and a very rude email from Jordan the manager who stated she will not refund me. When I told her I was a paralegal and I know what my rights are and that was awful customer service they said I was threatening them as if I had a gun to someone's head over eyelashes I mean really? Do yourself a favor save yourself time money and aggravation I would never ever use their studio again not only because the lashes are poor quality but their lack of knowledge and experience as well as expertise or lack there of. They definitely needed a soft opening and some management crash courses for opening this establishment. Additionally they told me I could not get my eyes wet for 48 hours once I did lightly run water over my face my eyes began to itch like crazy!!! Save your money!!!!!! read more

This place is absolutely horrible! HORRIBLE! I went in on March 22 as a lash model. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment as asked, however I did not get into the chair until 6:40, because apparently whoever booked the appointment, booked my appointment back to back with another appointment. my eyelashes were not applied correctly and I only got about five lashes applied to both of my eyes by 8 o'clock. I was then asked to buy the lash model to come back on Tuesday to continue the service because she knew that it was not my fault that my eyelashes were not being put on correctly. I scheduled to come back on Tuesday with her just to come to find out that she's no longer working there which is fine then being the fact that I am a mother of two young children I cannot just up and leave if something happens to my kids I cannot go so I made the appointment for March 26 which was Tuesday however something happened with my child so therefore I cannot go anymore, I called to reschedule the appointment they tell me they will have to charge me $20 because it's less than 24 hours from my desired appointment. I don't say absolutely not I'm not paying you for anything because it's not my fault that I have to come back up there and it's also not my fault that you guys don't know what you're doing! someone ends up lying to whoever I spoke to on the phone told them that I was 40 minutes late to my appointment which I was not! again I was 15 minutes early to my appointment and then I just end up canceling the appointment and they still took out the $20. I am currently waiting to speak to the manager of the West Caldwell, NJ location directly. These people are very unprofessional and very unorganized and they need to get it together. read more

So I really wanted to like this place but it was just extremely disappointing. First of if you're late or cancelled you are charged but they make you wait once you arrive anyway while they finish their previous client, to me this makes no sense! But fine whatever- The atmosphere was nice and my technician was as well but my lashes didn't even last a full week. I went in last week on Friday for my 4;30 appointment waited patiently for my tech to finish her current client and then had to fill in new customer information, so we didn't actually start until after 5. Once she finished applying my lashes, I expressed some concern over a few lashes in the corner which all she did to fix was brush them together. For the next week these lashes obviously fell back into their natural place and stabbed me in the corners of my eyes- additionally the lashes didn't even last through the entire week. It's Thursday and I don't believe there actually any lashes left on either eye . Prior to this I contacted the manager while she offered to fix the one eye I was having issues with I couldn't make myself available for that appointment. I've very carefully followed the care guide for my lashes using specific products, avoided wetting my eyes, avoided steam, brushed them carefully and lightly when necessary, avoided oil based products, never tugged or did anything to comprise the bonding glue holding my lashes. The manager told me because my lashes are short I should have gone with a shorter lash... now I didn't pick the length of my lashes, and question why the tech wouldn't have suggested or used shorter lashes all on her own, after all they're supposed to be trained. I've talked to all my friends who get lashes and they said the fact that they fell out at the rate in which they did sounds like something was really wrong. They said it was never their experience and essentially I wasted my money. I've included photos to show you over the course of the last week. I was going to just find some place to remove what was left because I felt silly walking around with only one eye of lashes- well I didn't have to waste anymore money because by today's end those were gone too. I just don't understand, they try to sell you on a membership that includes 2 fills a month, suggesting you go every two weeks... but after my first appointment I couldn't even get through 6 let alone 7 days. This is just insane to me, I expressed how disappointed I was and all I got back was "I understand the disappointment, in the future we can try shorter lashes" I think in this case a full refund would be appropriate, but hey what do I know. read more

I visited this location on Tuesday January 14th 2020. i found your studio of groupon but before i purchased the groupon i called in advanced to find out more information on the service. i am 9 months pregnant and the hour long service was appealing to me since i've had a difficult pregnancy and it would me less time on my back. i walk in use the bathroom and your tech asked me to lie down. they she began to ask me what i wanted. i told her i was something very natural and i do not want it to look like fake eyelashes. i want different lengths throughout so i didn't look artificial. she explain she would do a modern cat eye...which to me is like a new language. i had no idea what it meant. i trusted she understood what i meant. at no time in the conversation did she mention that she would be using these fan looking lashes instead of the single ones i've gotten from every lash place in the past. the ones she showed me were single ones. the ones she put on me looking like the cheap individual lashes you purchase at a drug store. during the whole service i was in pain from being on my back but i did not say anything because it's something i wanted to get done for my delivery and thought i should tough it out since there is nothing she could do about it. she finished the service. i looked at them. they looked so full i was shocked she got so many lashes in during that short period of time. little did i know it's because they were the fan ones. went home didn't get them wet for two day. i noticed they were not the lashes i had gotten in the past so i was annoyed. they i looked closely and i had so much glue at the ends. these lashes should not be use on people's natural lashes for that long. i would be surprised if people didn't lose their lashes all the time at your locations because they put so much strain on a single lash. there was also a few lashes that hurt when i brushed them. i decided to leave a review about how unhappy i was. jordan the manager replied to my review with a blank email which seemed like a stab at me so i responded with an ok. then she reach out apologizing for the blank email and said i should come in for a fix and have the girls remove some of the fan ones and put singles in. so i called and they said monday would be the last day i would be able to come so i made an appointment. as soon as i walked in she asked if i needed the bathroom. i said that would be great and she said oh well our bathroom is out of order so you need to walk all the way to tj maxx. i chose not to cut into our service time. she asked me to lie down so i did and then she goes what do you want me to do. i explained what i didn't like and i told her what jordan said. then i asked her how she would be able to do that without compromising my own lashes. she said" true so i should remove all the existing lashes." i started to tear up because i came into get my lashes done for my delivery and all this time and money was wasted. the saw i was upset so she said tell me what you want me to do and that's when the tech next to us stepped in and said remove some of the fans and put singles and so she began. she started PULLING OUT MY LASHES. i felt my lashes being pulled up and the pinches on my eyelids. she saw my pain and said sorry. then i thought i might be over reacting so i didn't saw anything. she started putting lashes in and focused so much on one eye and then spent like 10 mins on the other when you next client walked in. then she said ok all set. she showed me my lashes and i wanted to cry. i saw bald spots throughout my lashes. i gave her her tip and ran out even without putting me jacket on because i didn't want to cry in front of them. when i got in the car i called the studio back where i spoke to the call center. she contacted the studio and they tech said well she has lots of baby lashes. the call center said i can have jordan reach out to you. i said it's ok i will email her. i sent the pictures of my lashes to her and i told her i wanted to be refunded and she said that shouldn't be a problem and then today she said sorry we won't refund you. i want my money back because my lashes are compromised all because of lack of communication. i am so upset that when i think of the birth of my child i will think of deka lash and my bald lashes. worst part is that i can't even go anywhere else to get them fixed because my lashes are gone. now after months i will have to use a growth serum hoping i get my lashes back. read more

I am extremely disappointed with their services. I spent almost 2 hours and ton of money to get eyelash extensions and they looked beautiful until the NEXT day when the lashes began falling out and CONTINUED to literally drop onto my face numerous times over the next few days. My lashes then looked horrific and not to mention felt hard and gluey. I took excellent care and followed the do's and dont's. Several women I work with, have eyelash extensions and all agree, this never should have happened. The salon offered for me to go back and spend another 2 hrs (within a week and half of first time) and get them redone. That's nice, however this should have never happened in the first place. The last week and a half has been very embarrassing because of how awful my eyelashes looked and very time consuming. I was really looking forward to enjoying beautiful eyelash extensions.
