I really want to give a zero star! Personally spend the extra dollars somewhere else because you're not going to be satisfied here the quality is not the best anymore. I have really given this place many tries and I've been more disappointed. It started off good but now the service is just poor. This place is a hit or miss but it's been a BIG miss. The price sounds convenient but your eyelashes will be gone within a week! Which means you're paying more again just to get them done again so your still going to spend more. I have only been here 5 times since 2019, but their service has pretty much been consistent. Secret eyelash is strict on punctuality, which is a good thing. You must arrive on time to your appointment, they also send you appointment reminders via text. The first two times I went they gave me a pink lash brush right off the jump, but lately I would have to ask for them... not sure if I feel entitled to a lash brush. The service rooms are clean, and quiet. You lay on a cot faced up while they get to work on you. While they are doing your set, you can just fall asleep and within an hour, violá! The price is now $75 for a full set and honestly this place and their varied technicians have been more of a hit than miss. I wasn't pleased with getting my lashes done by Jina though, this was the last time before this one... My lash care is usually on point, avoiding water and makeup/oils/creams the first two days to prevent fallout. Despite that, lashes began to fall out within the week, and no matter how much I brushed them they were zig-zagging all over the place, making them look unkempt/tacky. I concluded that it was because of the placement on lashes, also dangerously being placed so close to inner corner of my eye. This time I got my lashes done with Nina, usually get C curl (curliest) or JC for hybrid in length and curl, with Cat-eye style, 14/15/16 (I like dramatic plus, my eyes are big lol. Definitely not disappointed! Just know that the increase in price I wasn't very happy to hear about initially, especially since I wasn't satisfied with the last time I got my lashes done. I decided to go back again after all this time BUT NOW, the end product is terrible! I had my lash done 6 days ago. She said okay and showed me to the technician that was going to apply the lashes on for me. The technician's name was Annie. Annie has very quick hands. She finished my procedure in 50 minutes. On top of the quick hands, she had a very gentle touch. You can't even feel her apply on the lashes. At the end of the session, Annie gave me a mirror to see how it turned out. I like it a lot!!! I came here several times prior, it's fairly hit or miss in terms of the quality because their technicians' skills vary so much. But this past time, was THE WORST experience, and I've been getting lash extensions for about 6 years (here and at other places). I had Stella. It was the MOST PAINFUL experience I've ever had. She was constantly poking my eyelids. When I squirmed, she would say I SCARED HER BY MOVING and DIDN'T APOLOGIZE for hurting me multiple times. But the pain would have been worth it if she did a good job. But it was the WORST set of lashes I've ever had. She glued the lashes SO TIGHT to my eyelids/real lash, it constantly pulled when my eyes were open! Before I walked out, a bunch of them were already pointing in the wrong direction. I've seen Jay both times and he is incredible! He's so so gentle with lashes but also incredibly knowledgeable and will let you know he has concerns about certain lash lengths/weights. Really wanted to like this place because of the value and good customer service! My lash technician and the front desk receptionist were so polite and welcoming! However, the quality of lashes just isn't there. I have been getting my lashes done for years. That being said, I noticed things were off when my eyes were burning on both sides the entire appointment. I do have sensitive eyes and have experienced slight irritation in the past. However, when I woke up my eyes were bloodshot red on both sides when I looked up (below the pupil where its usually covered by your undereyes). I didn't notice til I checked in the elevator. Towards the end of the appointment, my eyes started tearing up a lot, which isn't too good since tears can mix with the fumes of the eyelash and can cause a hazard. My lash technician was very apologetic and very sweet about it. When I returned home I got a closer look at my eyelashes and saw that they attached my eyelashes to the eyelid, rather than the actual lash. This caused extreme irritation for the first 3 days and one even made its way into my eye and poked itself around for a few hours which was unbearable. My lash set looked good, one of my better ones in my opinion! But they all quickly fell out and I'm left looking like it's been a month when it's barely been a week. My first time getting lash extensions, prior to my visit I was doing lash lift and tint but the tint would fade within days and I wasn't seeing much of a difference. A friend of mine recommended me to this specific location and for the deal, $65 for 90 lashes per eye and price includes tax and tip is a great offer considering how much lash extensions can be. It is however cash only and there is no ATM on site so keep that in mind! Upon walking in, you're greeted and the young lady will walk you through your options, a more natural look, a cat eye or a more dramatic lash. Once you've selected the look you're going for, you pick between j, jc, c curl and the lash length. I had originally wanted a c curl because it is more defined but upon consulting with the girl up front, she recommended a jc curl as my lashes were already lifted and a c curl would curl too close to my eyelid and not look as natural as I wanted. Very helpful given my lack of knowledge and just going based off what I've read off google. The session itself is about an hour and change and you don't feel a thing while you're laying down. You are also given care instructions afterwards and a mascara wand to brush your lashes with. They do offer a touch up within the first 14 days for a lower price, on the 15th day it is considered a full set. It's been about three days and I've showered and gone about my day and no harm to my lashes! I do recommend if you wet them, to pay dry afterwards and brush through with the wand to avoid clumping but ideally, you shouldn't be soaking them so excessively due to the adhesive. Update 10/11: I've been going to Secret Eyelash since June and I am slowly transitioning away from the location. I used to do the $65 special and started getting half sets because they felt more natural for me personally. However, I realized that within a week and a half, all my lashes are out. I kept going back because it's extremely affordable so why not but in reality, the quality of the eyelashes and the adhesive are not that great. Friendly reception staff that provided a mini consultation on what shape, length and curl to get. You basically get to pick between: round, fan and cat eye shape / J curl, JC curl or c curl and various lengths. I believe it is by appointment only and you can make an appointment online on their website, and they also list their other prices online. Really efficient system. Once you get there you get assigned to whichever technician is free. Waited less than 10minutes after my schedule appointment time. Mine took about 1h 20min or so to do 90 lashes on each eye. I would put aside around 1h 30 minutes for this. My technician did a great job! I came out with a nice natural curled lash look which I wanted. My lashes feel very light and isn't a burden (I've had them done before and they felt very heavy). My eyes were not sensitive to the glue and I personally did not feel any burning sensation- although some other reviews said they did. The technicians don't talk to you much or anything, probably because they have to focus pretty closely on their work. So expect to just be lying there the whole time and you have to lie really really still. If you move or twitch it can really mess it up. The location was clean, comfortable and you're basically in and out with no fuss. I do recommend this place mostly due to the reasonable price. I'm not sure if all technicians are of the same skill level- mine was Chloe and she did a good job. My friend had Jay and he also did hers well. The worst lashes experience ever! First of all the little girl at the reception was extremely rude for no reason and was giving me attitude. I am your customer not your child! She was huffing and puffing the entire time. I have taken a few of my friends there as well and they have become customers. However, I visited on 7/8/21 to get my lashes done in preparation for vacation. By the time I got home, a few lashes had fallen out. A little concerning, but perhaps not unusual. Never had that happen before, but I was leaving the next day and couldn't go back. My lashes are one of those Asian lashes that love to grow straight down and I've spent so much money so many different eyelash curlers and mascaras and wasted so much time curling my lashes constantly, only for it to fall flat within an hour. I have done eyelash lifts which are fine and more cost effective to, but also frustrating during the end of the cycle for a few of my lashes to be curled and some straight down, so I would still have to curl them. I finally bit the bullet and got a recommendation from a friend to come here. This is my usual eyelash place. Have been going for years and they do a phenomenal job and the price is so affordable -- so far I cannot find a similar place in the area that does a similar job at the price point they have. It's my go-to that I recommend to all of my friends! One thing I wanted to point out is that I recently had a super negative experience with a lash tech named Amy. I asked for spike lashes and paid extra for the service, but it wasn't noticeable at all AND way more importantly it HURT. My eyes were burning for hours and my lashes were so itchy. This was the first eyelash extension place I ever went to and I loved it so much. I came here three years ago and even raved about Secret Eyelash in a review I wrote for another eyelash extension place. However, I came back recently and the quality is just not the same. I don't think it's just me as I have spoke to some of my friends who also come here. Maybe they changed their glue, but the lashes do not last any longer than 2 weeks, which is disappointing to me because the one thing I loved about this place was how long it lasted! I paid for 80 lashes but I feel like they skimped out. On top of that, they raised their prices. If anyone needs lash extensions it's me - I have the shortest, thinnest, straightest, sparsest ones out there. But I always thought that regularly getting extensions was way too expensive. I'm so grateful that my coworkers shared their SECRET with me, because this is the best and most affordable place I've found for lashes and I don't feel guilty about going regularly now! I get 90 lashes for $65 including tip, which is by far the best price I've seen, and it's $50 if you get a touch up within two weeks. They're very strict on the two week thing, so make sure you make a note of the date if you want to take advantage of the deal. But I've found that under normal circumstances, the lashes look pretty good way past two weeks. The first time I got them, it was at the height of allergy season and my eyes were watery, irritated, and itchy all the time, resulting in a lot of lashes falling out more quickly than normal, but since then I've been really happy with them. You can easily make an appointment online, but make sure to cancel more than 24 hours ahead of time or you will be charged. Once you get there, you'll lie down in a row with everyone else getting their lashes. Each station has a blanket, a little basket to put your stuff in, and there is soothing classical music playing in the background. It's a challenge not to completely fall asleep as you're required to keep your eyes closed for about an hour! The ladies are all very gentle and sweet, and there is very little conversation going on besides 'close please' and 'open please.' The girl at the front counter was helpful before my first session in recommending length and shape of the lashes, and they keep a record of what you got so they can easily access for next time and you don't have to remember.
