I was going on a trip and decided last minute to use my lunch hour to get me lashes done. I had only done them one other time at a place in Long Island. The way it is done here is many tables set up so multiple people worked on at once. The woman doing my lashes was incredibly precise and detailed. She was excellent. I misread the website and believed first time users get a certain price but I suppose since I chose lash lift And Tint together I got the 79$ price. The choices can be confusing there are many. I was a first time client tho ? My lashes are still okay it has been 3 weeks. They are soft. When I got them done in LI they were harder (similar to mascara feel) and stayed really well for 2 months. Not sure how I feel about these I definitely have to add mascara for an event or evening out but for every day I think they are good. Do not go here for a las lift. My eyelashes are destroyed. I went here for a lash lift and tint 10 days ago and left with them overly curled so they go back over themselves. Obviously, this looks insane. They told me to come back in a week to have them fixed. I had them "fixed" two days ago and they made them worse. They are all bent and crimped. They have hard dents in them and the ends are spun over. It makes me eyes looks insane. I am so so upset. I can't have this corrected because it will over process them. After fellow Yelper Cristina G. came in one day with eyelash extensions (from a different lash place), I was intrigued. A quick search on Groupon showed me Lashlove NYC, which was close to my office. I bought the deal where you get 70 lashes and a fill-in. Beware that there are a few rules if you do decide to purchase the deal: 1. You can only go in Mon - Wed between 10 am - 5 pm 2. For the fill-ins, it HAS to be within two weeks. My first experience was great. I wish I could remember the name of my technician, because she did a really fantastic job. The whole process took about an hour and fifteen minutes, and there were a few times when I dozed off. I asked for "natural" looking ones, since I didn't want them looking too long/fake. I was very happy with the results, and two weeks after that, the lashes were still pretty much intact. So I went back for the fill-ins and got a different technician this time (named Candy). She was not so gentle, and I could feel every tug at my lashes. I was really hoping and praying that she was only removing the fake ones from last time and not accidentally pulling out my real ones. The process took about 45 minutes. Despite all this, the lashes still looked pretty good. However, it has only been one week and most of the lashes have already fallen out. Final verdict: go if you have the option not to do the lashes with Candy (sorry to throw you under the bus, girl). If you don't want to chance it and location isn't an issue for you, then there are tons of other Groupon deals out there. read more

Can't speak for all the technicians here but the one who did my lash lift did an awful job. During the process I felt stinging and burning in my eyes which I later found out should never be the case. When I pointed it out to her all she did was sigh impatiently and start using the mini fan which didn't help much. What's more is that the lashes didn't turn out well either. They are super clumpy and make my lashes look sparser than they actually are. Will definitely not be coming back here. PSA: if you experience any stinging or burning tell the technician to STOP IMMEDIATELY! I got lucky but it can cause chemical burns or scarring of your cornea if your technician doesn't keep the chemical solution out of your eyes. read more

I honestly loathe writing negative reviews (this is my first) so I'll just say I was not satisfied. The place is very clean, and thoughtfully decorated. The stylist were super friendly, patient and hospitable. The woman who applied my individual falsies worked super fast I was out of there in 30 minutes! I was shocked by her agility! I had my individual lashed applied the day before my Birthday, paid $90 for synthetic lashes which she mentioned lasted just as long as the human hair(3 weeks). That was 1/21/2022; it is now 2/8/2022 and I can't make this up, I have about 3 lashes left on my left eye and ONE stubborn dude in my right corner. This isn't all, I think a few of my lashes were glued together; 3 days later my right eye was swollen from the constant micro-tugging, which stung really bad. The lashes literally were just falling off onto my shirt at any given time. I've done my lashes many times, this was the first time I experienced this so I'm going to wing it and say it could have been the techniques (I had a cluster of 6 falsies on ONE natural eyelash!) and/or the glue which was in contact with my skin after drying as I felt the constant friction. My eyes are super precious to me. I personally have a successful skin, lash and eyelash routine; I can honestly say I tried to take good care of whichever dudes didn't fall off each day; it wasn't my maintenance. Sorry just want everyone to be cautious about any place getting close to your eyes. I'm so happy I still have most my lashes, I'll definitely need a break to grow out the ones I've lost...RIP natural lashes....you were gone too soon. =,-(. I googled salons and found this one, a block from my hotel, with great reviews, and even a $48 first-timer special - sold! I was so excited for my appointment. When I got there, the place was smaller than I imagined, but the staff was friendly. They had me lie down and got to work. The technician said my eyelashes were thick so she'd leave the solution on a bit longer. I couldn't wait to see them! But imagine my disappointment when I saw short, stubby stuck-together lashes. Yes, they were curled, but they looked nothing like the lush, long, lifted lashes I'd seen in the photos I'd been poring over for years. My lashes are quite full, but it now seemed like I only had a handful on each eyelid. I asked the technician why they looked so short and stuck together; she said that when I washed them after the 24 hour waiting period, they would separate and look fluffy as they had before. So I waited, and washed my lashes the next day, and, yes, they did separate and look a bit fuller, but overall, I'm very disappointed with the underwhelming results. My biggest problem is that they looked so much shorter than before, and my lashes are quite long. I googled "bad lash lift" and read that there are different varieties of lash lifts - J curls, C curls, B curls, etc - and that your technician should work with you to choose the 'look' you want. My technician didn't ask me what I wanted or tell me about any options. I also read that sometimes lashes can 'overcurl' when the solution is left on too long and that if you're unhappy, you should go back to the salon where they can help you. So I went to the salon to ask if they could fix them, and the young man at the desk said that there was nothing they could do, and that most clients want the "C" curl. I asked "What is your policy for clients who are disatisfied with the service?" They said the most they could do was give me a discount for "the next time." But for me, there is no "next time" a salon where the technician doesn't ask what I want and where they say they can't help me when I'm unhappy with the service. Beware this place. read more

Finally found a place that can do real "Volume" lashes (and a variety of others). I've been searching for a top quality place ever since I moved to NYC from SF 2 years ago. Plus it's walking distance for me and is easy to get to from a variety of subways too. Very nice ladies and super comfortable, but most of all my lashes look and feel AMA!!! So I went for the happy hour deal and did the 180 lashes. It was.. okay? I usually go to my place in Brooklyn but this was by my job so lunch hour was easy. They weren't anything special and they fell off virtually immediately. I asked the guy if I come for a retouch I can just book a regular 2 week touchup and he said yes, so I did that online. I go in for my 2 week retouch, and the girl says that because it's not happy hour, they have to take them all off and put a new set back on at full price. I was astounded. So bad. First things first, tried to scam me with the price until I pulled up the website and showed the guy what it said. I wanted laminated brows with a tint, they said no to a tint because in his words "it wouldn't till the spaces I had less hair on my eyebrows.." I said okay! Then the Lamination part-- they didn't use any Saran Wrap (or any material) to hold them in place which I thought was odd. When it was done they didn't look great at all. But also no one asked me how I liked them or let me know that I shouldn't get them wet for 24 hours. It was a huge waste of money. I would never return. read more
