The lady who did my eyelash extensions was really slow and she hurt my eyes, which was the reason I only offered 15% tip at the end. Then the front desk lady told me that they need 18-20% tip. I don't know why you ASK FOR certain amount of tip when the customer is not even happy with the service. In the end I still tipped more anyway. Two days later, my right eye was extremely uncomfortable and I was in so much pain when I removed a few lashes. Turned out the lady glued too much on my lashes and messed with my eye. I think extend eyelash is okay. I've been there customer on and off for a long time. I like the new location. It's clean and spacious. Minki is awesome and efficient. I don't mind tipping 18-20% because essentially they deserve it. I was surprised they raised prices and never adjusted it on the website, so everything is $10 more when you get there, more than the money I guess it's the concept of transparency with prices that should have been made clear that wasn't. I will make an appointment for a refill in 3 weeks but after that I am not sure if it's worth going back with the new adjustments. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Let me start off by saying I have been a client of extend eyelash for exactly 2 years now and I come in bi-weekly to get my lash refills. I am also loyal to one technician as I have tried out about 4 of them and she was the only one who did not get glue in my eye or use too much glue. She is the best. About a week ago I called in for an appointment with my usual technician for the following Monday however she was booked at the times I was able to come in. She only works on Mondays and Thursdays so my only other option was to come in on Thursday. After my appointment on Thursday I went to pay and the receptionist informed me it would be a total of $85 as opposed to the $55 I usually pay. She said that it was due to me being charged for a 3 week visit as opposed to 2 weeks. I told her that no one had let me know that coming in on a Thursday as opposed to a Monday would be considered a 3 week appointment. If I had known that was the case I would have either moved my schedule around on Monday or agreed to see another technician. Both the receptionist and her boss made it clear that there was absolutely nothing they could do. They said that they have a ton of clients and there is no way for them to advise each one what their cost per visit will be which if you ask me is pretty ridiculous. If the policy is as strict as they make it out to be regarding the days between appointments they should also make it a strict policy to let their clients know that if they move their appointment from their usual day they will be charged extra. While we were arguing they also said that in the email appointment confirmations it is clearly indicated if the appointment is considered a 2 week or 3 week appointment. Well I looked through my emails and I'm here to tell you that they DO NOT indicate the amount of weeks or the price (see below photo). And to top it all off, after I paid the $85 and let them know they had just lost a loyal customer, as I was walking out the receptionist proceeded to ask me for a tip! I told her she could take it out of the $85. I also want to make it clear that my frustration is not about the money but about the policy and that they were not willing to acknowledge that they failed to let me know of the extra charge beforehand and they were also not willing to make an exception for a 2 year client who had never run into this issue before. In the past 6-8 months or so there has been a new receptionist and I must say she is AWEFUL. Unfriendly, rude and unlikeable. There must have also been a change of management as they are now constantly trying to up-sell unnecessary products. This is not the same place as it was a year ago. There are a ton of eyelash extension salons in the city and the customer service here is absolutely terrible. Consider yourself warned. read more

So let me first start by saying I have been going to this place for over two years now. I have referred at LEAST three regular clients to them, taunting the quality of their work and the fair pricing. Although the quality of how my lashes look hasn't changed, the pricing and the quality of service HAS. I don't know if they changed management or what, but I've noticed the last couple of months some changes, which were clearly made to get more money from their clients. I called to reschedule my appointment to the next day, which I have done before. Suddenly there is a $30 fee. They claimed I had never done this before hence my lack of knowledge. This just isn't true. Also, I had tried calling two days prior but as is frequently the case, I couldn't get through and there isn't a voicemail set up. How convenient. Some months back they added a new text message confirming appointment service, they only give you the option to say Y to confirm, no option to cancel. If there is a $30 fee to make changes the same day, then why isn't that text coming out the day before instead of the day of? Why isn't stating their $30 same day cancellation fee policy? They have been upselling and increasing prices in general, started demanding a minimum amount in tips (whatever discount they decide to give you that day is taken out of this rate to be fair to the stylists, they say) but it's just poor practice to bully clients into a minimum of 18% tip every time! I've watched them count out my tips, why the envelope if you're going to count it? I always gave 20% and they do this? The upselling and the tip bullying is something that every person I referred spoke to me about and I still defended the place. However, after speaking to not one but two individuals over the phone, neither of them willing to waive just this once this $30 cancellation fee I've never heard of, I'm officially done with the place. They chose a $30 fee over a loyal client who has brought them thousands of dollars of business. That is just poor business practice and offensive. Add insult to injury, I learned that an establishment that has always been cash only (which is an extra burden for their clients, I always have to make a stop at the bank prior, if I don't I have to use THEIR atm which charges a fee), suddenly demands my credit card information for this random cancellation fee. Wow. So you have the ability to take credit cards but only if it's for some fee that you never warn anyone about? So shady. Oh and since they use this special kind of glue you have to go to them to get your lashes removed or else suffer extreme pain if removed elsewhere. They charge you $30 for removal by the way. Avoid this place. They get you with their discounts but will find ways to make up for it. read more

Here's a breakdown of my 1st time experience. Lash Consultant: I showed her a video of my previous lashes (from a different place) and told her that I loved that look and asked what she would recommend from their services to achieve something similar. Lashes: The end result was so far from what we agreed on. She gave me something so natural that it doesn't even look like I have lashes from a foot away. You can see them in the photo where the camera is up to my eye but who stands that close anyway? The job itself was spotty and uneven. My right eye doesn't look as full as the left. I asked for a cat eye look and told her I wanted thickness and volume. The lashes droop in the inner corners and literally don't even make it to the end let alone have a cat eye look. I'm not sure if the glue will go to a normal color but you can clearly see the lash glue. I could have done a better job with a set of falsies from Sephora. Unfortunately, it was too dark in the place to really get a good look at what she did. Experience: From what I read with other reviews you're supposed to get a free foot massage. In the beginning of the process she asked if I wanted one. I said yes. No foot massage was received. Customer Service: After getting home and seeing her work I called the place. The recommendation she gave was to come back and they'll just fix the cat eye and fill in my right eye but anything else would cost extra. I explained to the girl that those minor fixes would be like slapping on a band aid. They're willing to fix a few minor things but what I would need is a completely new set. We scheduled an appointment for later this week, enough time for the glue to settle so they can remove and replace. I'll update my post afterward. read more

I have to write this because I recently decided to stop coming here. I've been coming here for years, and for the past 6 months to 1 year, every time I got a refill, my eyes would burn, itch and swell. The last time I came was probably New Years Eve 2020, and my eyes swelled so badly for new years eve that my boyfriend thought I had pinkeye. Both eyes were swollen, and it was painful. It took 1-2 weeks for the eyes to finally calm down, the skin on my eyelids were flaking off because the swelling broke skin, and I was so upset. I asked them to use sensitive glue, which I've been doing for a while, but yet, my eyes still swelled. I've always had Ellie as my tech, and I just couldn't figure it out. I talked to a friend who I referred here and she, too, said that they told her they switched their lashes, and she's been feeling a little irritation but she hasn't had the same allergic reactions I had. Once she said this to me, I decided to try a new place, and guess what! No irritation, no allergic reaction. I held off on this review for 3 weeks so I could go to this new place at least twice to make this fair. I'm not sure why they switched their products but it was too painful to continue get my lashes here. Sorry, Extend. Normally they do a decent job but this time around my left eye was totally irritated and its because some of the eyelashes are glued to my lids and touching the skin causing irritation. I took the best care of it : no oil makeup remover; no water within 24 hours; I don't even draw eyeliner because of it. I would not be returning! The manger is disrespectful, lack customer service skills, and nickel and dime customers. I will not be providing then with another Penny!!! I have been coming here for a few years now and minki is great ! Your lashes will look fabulous! However with the new manager it's just not worth the frustration. The last facility had a one day flexibility on refills and saving incentives for regular customers. However now if your over one day late they charge you for 3 weeks and no flexibility . Absolutely horrible customer service! I had a 6pm appointment and was running late due to train delays. I get a call from the Extend Eyelash receptionist at 6:04pm when I was one stop away. I told her my situation and that I should be there within 5 minutes. She then proceeded to tell me "hurry up, we have a lot of customers." As I was responding to that to reassure her I'd be there soon, she hung up on me. I was so taken aback by her rudeness that I got off the train and turned back in the other direction to go home. That is not how you treat a returning customer -- or attract business. I understand they have a policy in place, but that doesn't excuse rudeness. I liked how my lashes came out. Took about an hour. Very friendly service and relaxing environment. I got the deal on life booker for $55 for 100 lashes per eye. They let me pick any style and length of lashes. I went with the silk Jc curl. "Cat eye" look. I do think the place is a bit pricey. They charge $10 for a eye patch. (Which should come included with the service) tip is $20-40$ which I thought was a lot. The women in the front desk asked if I can leave at least a $20 tip because it's a long process. As she stated. On arrival I used the makeup remover provided to remove the eyeshadow i was wearing. I then had a short consultation with my lash technician. Second time getting eyelash extensions done, and will always return to Jeongln! The first time (not at extend) was too long overall, catching the rim of my glasses with each blink. That was definitely one of my main concerns in getting my straight, asian lashes done again. With living social deal in hand, I called this morning to make an appointment for noon-ish. The sweet, soft-spoken lady on the other end booked me for 1:30. Cool, let's go. Customer service is top notch here. Everyone is friendly and polite. The woman at the reception desk addressed all of my questions and concerns. She, too, wears glasses and understood my wishes for shorter, natural-looking lashes. She examined my lashes and gave me her advice, "the basic or long would look better on you." "But not too long," I remarked. "Just a few long ones at the ends, to give you cat eyes," she responded. We agreed on silk premium, JC curl, .15 thickness, and long style; 9-11mm to keep it looking natural. My appointment promptly started at 1:30. The beds are very comfortable and the technicians are professional. I confirmed with my tech, Jeongln, the style and lengths that I wanted before we began. She showed me a sticky note with details of my extensions when I asked. All was in order and I began to relax a bit more. Jeongln began our session by thoroughly cleaning my lashes and eyelids, getting in the nooks and crannies to get eye gunk out (ew, I know!). She then applied the eye masks ($10 more, but it came with the living social deal!) along with strips of paper tape over my lower lashes. The strips of paper tape was the most uncomfortable feeling throughout this entire process, but it wasn't too bad with your eyes closed. After 90 minutes, I awoke with beautiful and long, fluffy lashes. I was given a hand mirror to take a look and OH MY GAWD, THEY'RE BEAUTIFUL! Jeongln has impeccable attention to detail and ensures that each lash is in its place prior to their reveal. I am a changed woman! These lashes lasted so much longer than the others, especially in this allergy season where I can't help but rub my eyes! Yes.. Just got my eyelashes done and I love it! The technician was so gentle, and I did not feel any discomfort. (Got mine done by Minki. He was very nice and did amazing job!) The place is so clean, and had relaxing music. All worker there was very welcoming. The lady with long hair, (maybe she is a manager? ) she knows exactly what you will look good with. She recommended JC curl with 2.0mm for my eyes and I went with everything she said and came out great! So glad I did JC curl, cuz I feel like C would've been a bit too crazy for my eyes.
