I finally visited here again recently. It was easy to book an appointment a day in advance, though they prefer you go through their online system which takes a deposit. I was going to another lash spot for years now near my office (Mink), but chose to return here since I was pregnant in my 3rd trimester by this point, so I needed not to lie completely flat. This was the only lash spot I remember with more flexibility for their chair recline (and I've tried a lot of lash spots in the city). They confirmed this when I was texting them. I ended up falling asleep and was so relaxed during this lash session. The only nitpick I have is that the final result this time around was a lot more natural than I expected. The side view looks like ok volume but front facing you wouldn't be able to tell I even got my lashes done. A bit disappointing given the higher price point. I didn't have time to go back and redo them, next time I'll just need to remember to ask for the thicker lashes. read more

Terrible terrible service. I got my lashes done twice today, the first time the woman completely disregarded what I wanted and gave me unsatisfactory results. When I told management what had happened they said they would fix it for free. If anything, it felt like I was being punished for being unsatisfied. When I came back in for them to be fixed, the worker complained the entire time and made extremely rude comments towards me. I have never felt so unsafe by a beauty service place and employee in my life. Mind you, my lashes STILL don't look like how I asked. I've been to countless lash spots in NYC at this point, and it's hit me that this spot might take the cake. With extensions from most other places, I grew accustomed to a level of discomfort whenever I sweat or get water in my eyes, but overall, with my extensions from My Fabulous Lashes, I have felt better on the whole. Even though I only got 70 pieces (C curl, 9-12 mm lengths, sexy style), I have received many compliments, and they have held up well. I've been coming here since everything reopened. I come every two to three weeks. I tip over twenty percent and I'm never late. I've even accommodated them when they ask me to come in earlier. I think I've been a loyal and respectful customer. So when I ask them to change my appointment because I was crying all night and my were swollen because I received bad news, they refused to and said would keep my deposit.. I warned them it would difficult to do my lashes but they told me they would have to keep the deposit if I don't come in. Which was $30. So I came in and then they told me they could NOT do my eyelashes because they're swollen, which is what I told them. They not only wasted my time, but did nothing to make up for it! I was coming here mostly for convenience because I live off the L. There are couple decent technicians there but there not very friendly. It's sad that they don't know how to treat loyal customers! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! I gave them every opportunity to make up for it but they didn't! They told me because they're a small business they need protect people themselves by keeping deposits if people don't show up. I get it, but you would think customer loyalty would mean more for great customers! Mind you I've never cancelled my appointments in the past! read more

I've been coming here for a good portion of the year already and this lash salon never disappoints! They have great deals and prices , they are a super cute and cozy salon and feels and looks super clean. Love that they're at such a convenient area as well. I get the 2D volume sets and usually go for 3 week fills & I get compliments on my lashes all the time and the longevity is amazing! Totally recommend this salon for lash beginners or lash experts. I fall asleep on their cozy chair and wake up with fabulous lashes!! I got a 70pcs classic set in fox eyes and it came out so good(first pic) !! If you like your lashes looking natural I definitely recommend this set. However I'd say by week 2 about 40% of the lashes were gone and def doesn't last as long as other places I've been to but this place also like the fraction of what would've costed at other salons in Manhattan. For me at least I'd get new set more frequent rather than trying to stretch a $200 set out for 6 weeks like I typically do haha so this place is perfect! read more

My co-worker had shared with me that My Fabulous Lashes was opening and was offering a huge discount off of all sets - I was curious, and of course wanted to show support. The room was spacious and clean, and this was the first time I actually sat down in a reclining chair as opposed to a bed. I preferred the chair as the flatbeds always make me feel like I'm at the hospital. Karen and Cynthia were super nice and reassuring about giving me the style that I wanted. It's been about 2 weeks since I've gotten my lashes done and they've held up quite well. I workout nearly everyday so its important for me that the fallout isnt crazy. My Fabulous Lashes exceeded my expectations! This place is very clean and conveniently located near Union Sq. They take your temperature right when you come in, sanitize your hands and the tech wears a mask the entire time. I felt very safe doing my lashes here during a time like this. I got the 2D volume done by Apple and I am obsessed with them! It's been over a week since I got my lashes done and it still looks great. Apple was very patient with me, taking the time to explain to me the different types of curls and lengths. She helped me choose the type of lashes that best suits me and what I want. She communicated to me when she started putting the lashes on, asked me if I needed a break to use the restroom, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. My eyes are very sensitive. I've gotten lashes done many times at other places, and almost every time, some glue will seep into my eyes and start burning. However, at My Fabulous Lashes, there was no burning sensation at all!! This review is long time overdue but well deserved! I have been seeing Cynthia for my lashes for almost 7 months. I've had 11 sessions with her . She is absolutely outstanding! So is Helen who manages everything on the backend - always following up with my appointments, making sure everything is up to their high standards. I moved to New York last December and I was having so much trouble finding someone who I can trust with my lashes. I had very specific asks because I used to get my lashes done by a friend back home who just knew my style and had a particular technique. Cynthia is the only person who has been able to perfect my sets every time and she is so patient and sweet. I always get 5D/6D volume set since my lashes are fine and quite short. This was my first time and I love the results! I asked for longer lashes at the end which are called cat or fox style. These lashes are dramatic but still look so natural at the same time! The place was spotless, hygienic, and very welcoming. Super nice customer service and I felt very safe. The lash technician made sure my lashes looked perfect and they definitely do! I was a little bit sceptical to use this particular salon as they had no ratings on yelp but I decided to give it a go via groupon. Making an appointment was very easy and so was my actual visit. I arrived a little bit earlier but was greeted with a smile by Cynthia who in fact did my lashes. I went for a sexy fox eye but still reasonably natural look. Cynthia as very helpful advising on style and length of lashes. She was super precise and gentle with me. The whole experience was so relaxing that I in fact had a little snooze... will most likely return if the lashes stay looking decent for at least next two to three weeks. read more

Lulu did my lashes yesterday and they came out beautifully full! Unlike other lash bars that just apply the lashes straight, Lulu actually created fans. I love them! She was so patient with me because my eyes are sensitive and kept tearing up. She made sure I was comfortable. Absolutely will come back here especially for big occasions like weddings, and New Years, just when you want your lashes to be perfect. She was very efficient (she finished the appointment right on the estimated end time), and my lashes look fantastic. I'm in love with my lashes!! I used to try new eyelash extension shops through Groupon but this place sold me on the reclining chairs! I got a 4D set with a Dolly style to make my eyes appear bigger and they came out fabulous! Compared to other places, I feel like these lashes are much lighter and better quality as they do not make my eyes feel heavy. This review is specifically for Cynthia. My first experience with Cynthia was amazing. The space is clean, chairs are comfortable and environment very relaxing. Cynthia has the most gentle, precise touch that I didn't even feel when she was working and went right to sleep lol. My first set of lashes was exactly what I asked for in terms of shape and looking natural (maybe a bit longer than I would have hoped). The lashes lasted for 2 weeks. When I went for the refill, I thought I was going to have Cynthia again. Unfortunately, it was someone else that decided to use volume lashes that immediately started falling off. I contacted them the next day and luckily Cynthia was available to fix them. Instantly noticed a difference in my lashes when she was done. Cynthia is the best. read more

Yikes! Don't go here. It was tough to get an appointment (as mentioned by previous reviewers) but I wish I hadn't even wasted my time. For starters, when I arrived I opened the door & the salon space was right there - no privacy for those getting lashes done & no little desk check in area. They walked me through the confusing lash styles (which are posted behind their entry door so if someone walks in, they hit you with the door). Then the confusing lash lengths. All the photos that they showed me were of lashes far more dramatic than the ones I was interested in... the ones I wanted to see/ wanted to get they didn't have photos of. Why wouldn't you have pics of all the lash options you offer? When I sat down with the technician, she put eye makeup remover on me which stung. I said to her "that stings, can I just use my own makeup remover?" And at that point it became evident that she didn't speak English. I was concerned by this bc if something was painful during the procedure, I need to be able to tell her & know that she will understand. That's when I lost confidence in this place and excused myself. Don't bother! I'm going back to my normal lash place. read more

Cynthia did an amazing job, took her time to make sure I was happy with the shape, color and strokes. The entire procedure took about 2 hours and wasn't painful at all. I got my first set of eyelash extensions here with Lulu and I just finished getting my 2 week refill. I got the 2D volume set as per Lulu's recommendation and I LOVE IT. I booked a groupon for a classic set during my 1st appointment and Lulu went ahead and did the 2D without charging me extra as courtesy ($70 difference from classic lashes for the initial set) because I have rather sparse lashes and a classic set wouldn't have achieved the look I wanted. I absolutely recommend this place and the staff is amazing, the setting is peaceful and the chairs are so comfortable. I totally fell asleep during my appointment today.
