I recommend you find another place. They don't have the basic amenities that other lash places do, such as makeup remover or contact lens case and solution. They don't even have a sink in the studio to wash your hands if you do wear contacts. If you haven't gotten your lashes done before they also don't give guidance on different shapes, lengths or materials for lashes or have a look book to help customers decide what they might want. The chairs are pretty uncomfortable, and the one I sat in was like a dentist chair but unsturdy, so every time I moved the char wobbled. Also it took them almost 2 hours to do my lashes, which is much longer than usual, and they didn't have to remove any lashes either. My overall experience was pretty bad, where they glued some of my bottom lashes to the top, so when they finished I couldn't even open my eyes. Also throughout the procedure it also felt like they were tugging on my lashes which caused pain. I'll give them one star for having good quality lashes, however their application of glue ends up looking like a 'bulb' of glue at the base of your lashes. read more

I went for the first time a month ago to get a full set of lash extensions. I was extremely nervous getting lash extensions again since my last experience at another place was horrible and left me with no lashes after they were removed. I got my first set with their senior specialist and she was so gentle and listened to exactly what I wanted. I just went back for a refill with Jessica and she is amazing! She made my first set even fluffier and longer and spent time making sure my lashes were untangled and healthy after the refill. I'd never had lash extensions before, but decided to take the plunge as I had four weddings to attend this summer/fall. Found LeFace through Gilt City and booked an appointment online with Jessica. I had initially intended to just do that one time, but was so impressed with the results that I've now been back two more times! Jessica was extremely welcoming and has a gentle and calming touch (I've fallen asleep during the process and she's been able to do a beautiful job despite sleep twitches). Each subsequent time, she's asked me how I liked the previous one and what she can do to make it even better. Lashes last 3-4 weeks as promised and you don't have to wait 24 hours to wash your face like I've heard from other places. Love. Love. Love this little jewel box of an eyelash studio . I've had lashes applied by Ellen (once) and and Tamara (so many times, I've lost count). Both are artful technicians and incredibly knowledgeable in the art and science of lash extension application and aesthetics. I prefer a natural "wow you have great eyelashes" look (vs an ultra glam look). Tamara and Ellen know exactly how to achieve that look. Ellen at LeFace is the BEST! I have been to other lash treatments in NYC and Ellen is by far more skilled and knowledgable. My lashes look full and long, but natural at the same time, AND they stayed for over 4 weeks. Wow, words cannot describe how astonished I am with the poor mannerisms at this eyelash boutique in the flatiron district. The eyelash technician, Tamara was yelling at me the entire time "I can't do this" please relax your eyes. Every time I was about to fall asleep and take a lash nap she yelled at me, waking me up causing me to twitch more. Then she kept giving up and giving me excuses which were extremely rude. I called 24 hours prior to my appointment speaking to the owner Ellen explaining to her that my usual lash stylist is pregnant and I went to a place that did a poor application. She assured me not to worry and promised me a full set this afternoon. I trusted her and her eyelash extension business being that it seemed like she knew what she was talking about.The owner of the salon said she was sorry and was trying to give me a deal. Being that this eyelash studio is listed on the xtreme lashes website I was expecting great quality. In reality, if I wanted to be cheap and wanted a deal I would just go on group on. Less then 2 hours later after a terrible application my eyelashes are turning around! My neck hurts due to poor pillows and uncomfortable application. My eyelashes have huge gaps and the glue stung. I am barely able to see after going to this eyelash artist. A truly horrific experience in which I am unable to open my eyes. Save your lashes, don't be fooled by location and fake yelp reviews. I am only giving this place an extra star because of the ambiance and location of this salon. Their lash "bed side" manner is also tragic. They literally shooed me out of the lash salon with a giant gap in my eyelashes. Terrible eyelash extensions. Terrible eyelash extension application. Jessica is simply the best. Way, way, way better than any other lash studio I've tried. I don't know what magic glue they use, but my lashes LAST, look amazing, and most importantly, you can actually wash your face! I forget I even have them until I catch sight of myself in the mirror in the morning. I also really like that they care about their customers -- Jessica is always adjusting things, checking I'm comfortable, putting aromatherapy on if I'm stressed, etc. If I want to nap, I can. She really cares about your comfort, on the table and afterward -- she remembers what you like and what you don't. Honestly I never imagined I would do this regularly but I've been a customer for a year now; it's worth it. It's also an ethical practice and I feel good about supporting people who are well trained and like what they do. My experience at Le Face Boutique was amazing. Everyone was super welcoming and very knowledgeable. It was my first time getting lashes as well as having my eye brows microbladed. I went here for my first lash extensions and they came out absolutely beautifully. Jessica did a great job and was so nice answering all of my questions. The main issue was that there was a bar under the headrest that was digging into the back of my head the whole time making for a bit of an uncomfortable experience. I've been going to Le Face Boutique for close to 6 months now and have been loving it! I get my lash extensions done by Jessica and she's amazing. As I'm somewhat of a newbie to lash extensions (I used to get them done for special occasions at another place but stopped because the location was inconvenient and too much maintenance was involved), Jessica was extremely patient in the consultation. She told me the various lashes that I can use to achieve natural looking lashes. We opted for a mix of mink and silk lashes as I wanted something light but full looking. My lashes looked great and lasted for 3-4 weeks. With each appointment, she'd ask what you liked and didn't like about the previous set so she can perfect it. Tamara is THE BEST eyelash expert I have ever been to and trust her 100% with my lashes- I've tried multiple places in NYC and luckily found her, and will never go to anyone else again. Not only is she extremely skilled technician but she is a genuinely good person. She consults you each appointment to best understand the look you want and adjusts accordingly. I also have sensitivities to glue/tape, and not once did she forget that. Have been getting lash extensions in the city for a little over a year but was looking for a new lash studio that is closer to my work and home. Decided try Le Face Boutique after getting a gilt voucher for a full set of silk or mink glamour lash extensions. I tried to make an appt online but it only allowed you to make an appointment with the junior level lash technician and the value of the voucher was for a senior level lash technician or the owner, Ellen. I called and explained to the receptionist and she was kind enough to find me an appointment with Ellen even though she was told the Gilt voucher was made to get new clients for their junior technician. The lashes lasted really well, but after only 3 days the lashes on my right eye started curling right at the tips instead of going straight up. It was bizarre, almost looked like they were singed. Keep in mind Im not a smoker and always make a point to sleep on my back, always wash around my eyes and not wear eye make up,etc. May have been a fluke situation, but l was just disappointed since they were so fresh. When made aware of the situation Ellen did offer to fix or remove them, but I had already had them taken off. read more

This place is THE BEST! I had the unfortunate experience of having to go elsewhere while on vacation, and the experience was subpar and lashes felt awful and did not last. Ellen is an expert in this field. I trust her because she is very knowledgable and well versed in this area. Not only is the boutique's ambience beautiful, Ellen knows about eyelash health. I know that even with these extensions on I am not compromising the health/length of my natural eyelash because Ellen knows that not all lashes are created equal meaning smaller lashes can not handle the same extension length as a longer lash, it's not strong enough. I love that Ellen knows this amongst other things and I always walk out with my lashes looking A1, and people are constantly complimenting me on my eyelashes. Being someone that sweats for a living lash extensions are much more convenient than mascara. After my appointment with Ellen I was given a coupon when I was there and told it was $50 off my next visit for a refill, so I agreed to make my next appointment with another stylist not her but I ended up having to reschedule. So I called later that week and spoke with a women named Jane, who doesn't work in the salon. She was nothing but awful to work with. After initially making an appt I had to reschedule again unfortunately and instead of calling me back she texted me. She could not communicate clearly via text at all, gave unclear information, was very argumentative, said I didn't read what Ellen gave me and should have questioned her initially, that it was my fault for not understanding a coupon that Ellen had hand written and mistakenly described to me. She then accused me of not bringing in any referrals because apparently Ellen had told her she gave me 5 referrals cards and she was surprised she hadn't heard from anyone, she never gave me any referral cards. Since I was having trouble talking with her and didn't want to spend more time arguing via text, I asked if she could just have Ellen call me since she was initially the one who gave me the coupon and I thought that'd clear up all the confusion. She said okay, 2 days later, I hear nothing so I called to check in since she didn't answer my texts either. When I called, she said Ellen was too busy to talk to her customers and proceeded to argue with me more. As a business owner, if you're too busy to talk to your own customers and clear up a confusion you caused, that's a big problem especially when you have a rude argumentative women running your appointment line. Update: Ellen did call me back to find out what had transpired and hopefully she will be able to discuss further with her secretary. read more

Ellen is truly amazing! It took me so long to find a lash artist that has as much skill as her. I am very picky, and have tried more lash places that I would have liked before finding Ellen.
