I decided to give it another try, but I wanted a reputable, reliable place. I came across Masterpiece on Yelp, and the reviews were all pretty positive. I've been to Masterpiece twice so far, and it's been only a wonderful experience. My lashes haven't looked this good. The main reason I also wanted to try Masterpiece is because they offer Japanese sable, which is lighter and looks a bit more natural. I've been seeing Maya for my lashes, and she's fantastic. The first time was for the Japanese sable, 80 lashes per eye. The second visit was for a refill, but I upgraded to 90 lashes for more volume. They also offer mink lashes. They show you a variety of curls and lengths before application. So far, I'm loving the results. After about 3-4 weeks, the lashes start to naturally fall out. I haven't had any allergic or adverse reactions to my lashes. I really love how light my lashes feel; it's like I don't even have extensions on. There is some maintenance and care involved, but it's pretty low key. I originally just wanted to try the lashes, but now I'm legitimately hooked. I will keep going back to Masterpiece, and I highly recommend Maya. This is a definite recommend if you're considering lash extensions.

Disclosure: this is a long overdue review, so some things may be different now…read more I visited Clean Beauty in Oct 2020 after seeing her amazing facials on IG. Her jelly masks are the selling point for me. The esthetician, Quyen, is one of the most pleasant people I've met in a long time. During COVID, she took all the right precautions to make you feel safe in the space. It's a small space inside of a building located on Kent Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Parking was a bit challenging but you can find something if you give yourself time. There is a bathroom located in a different area of the building. I enjoyed the vibe, very relaxed; the products were good; she uses Botnia skincare, which is all natural, another plus for me! I initially came for a signature, but ended up trying the dermaplaning service. Unfortunately, dermaplaning is not for me; my chin and cheeks broke out. I reached out to the esthetician whom told me that was the skin purging. Well, l "purged" and I hyper-pigmented, and developed ingrown hairs. My chin has not been the same. I do believe this reaction is what has contributed to me not returning. One thing I look into now is whether the esthetician has extensive experience treating melanated skin, that way there is a quick next step to treat.

Head upstairs and use the super nice individual bathrooms down the hall if you need. Very clean. Their space is bright and airy with multiple technicians and tables. She assessed my lash type and eye shape and told me that it's just a matter of where she placed the rod. My lashes turned out super lifted and lovely. She had a timer for each solution and it was all very matter of fact and systematic - perfect. For first time clients they discount the lash lift from 90 to 80 and give a castor oil lash solution. They said keep lashes dry for 4 hours (one day is for old solutions I guess) and no mascara for one day. You can pay with the card you used to book the appointment. They prefer tip in cash but will also accommodate putting on card. Overall this place was great and if I lived here I would be a regular.

I was a first time client tho ? My lashes are still okay it has been 3 weeks. They are soft. When I got them done in LI they were harder (similar to mascara feel) and stayed really well for 2 months. Not sure how I feel about these I definitely have to add mascara for an event or evening out but for every day I think they are good. I believe I got a little card which adds up points or dollar amount as you go.
