If you're looking for a place to get your eyebrows threaded I highly recommend this place. I was a frequent client at their location near W 20th street until I saw there was a closer spot next to Lifetime Fitness off 23rd & 6th. The service is excellent, while they do recommend you call ahead and make an appointment I've walked-in most times and hardly ever had to wait longer than 5 minutes. For it being in NYC the price is also very competitive with simple threading costing about $15. They do prefer cash, if you choose to use a card there is a small service charge fee. read more

It was really easy to book online and I made an appointment with Kaavya. She seated me immediately and I told her that my eyebrows were unevenly shaped from my last experience and she gave me a comforting smile and told me she would fix it. The location on 6th Avenue is no more but this location between 5th and 6th was very nice. I had meenu and she was nice but I much prefer Geeta. I haven't been here in a while and she told me that there's a minimum that my card didn't meet but she let me pay anyway. I've usually gotten more than one service and even when I didn't and just got my eyebrows done paying with card was never an issue. Just a heads up for anyone else going. I think the girl I got was training because she did not know how to shape the brows. Just took off hairs so my eyebrows are now rounded. *sigh* I've been going to the location on 6th Ave near what used to be The Limelight. I'd go to Geeta, ask for, "just a cleanup" and she would leave my brows full and fabulous. The 6th Ave location is gone... I'm not sure if they've relocated or what. If they've moved, I need to go there and stick with Geeta cos she was great. Okay, this review is supposed to be about the 23rd street location. And, it is! I'm getting to it now. Thank you for your patience! So, I had to go to Home Depot which is right across the street and also had to get the brows done cos it's been a while. Since the 6th Ave location ain't there anymore, I decided to come here. I had a bad experience a few years ago but... I have no good excuse for coming back. Anywho, since I didn't know this threader and she didn't know me, I practically begged her NOT to make my brows thin. I want to keep them as full as possible. You know how the skin is lighter where the hair has been removed? When I look in the mirror, I have a bunch of light skin around my used-to-be full brows staring back at me. And, I effing hate it. On the other hand, I'm grateful. Because of this experience, I'm gonna start doing my own brows. I'm sure that'll save me a couple of dollars. Either that or track down Geeta. Considering how important brows are on a face, the last thing I wanna be out here doing is spending my hard earned money to pay someone who's gonna do whatever they feel like to my brows and not WTF I ask for. read more

Ask for Geeta!!! She's amazing!! I have very sensitive skin so usually I'll always flare up red after anything done to my skin. Geeta knows this and is always offering accommodations to help me relax the redness. For threading, she'll offer the ice cube to cool down the redness and for sugaring, she's applying oils after. Normally I don't trust people when they say their Brazilians are 15 mins because there's now way everything can be cleanly done in that short time. I've always had 30 mins Brazilian waxes but after coming to Geeta, they went from 30 to 20 mins to 15 mins. I was so confused today because it was only 8 minutes!! How is that even possible?! When she showed me in the mirror, I was shocked!!! I know it's not realistic to expect 10 mins every time but this was such a relieving wax to experience! Efficient and well taken care of. Ive been coming to Geeta for years and I don't think I'll trust anyone else the way I trust her. She really takes care of you! read more
