I was able to walk in without an appointment and was serviced pretty quickly, however ample space and chairs for waiting. The threader did an amazing job with great attention to detail. I love this place but this Saturday I should've never went. I love my eyebrows so for this lady to mess them up it really hurts my feelings. . I have bushy eyebrows. I just asked to clean around my eyebrows. I have to now walk around with an uneven left eyebrow. She cut 50 percent of my eyebrow off. And she didn't cut it even on the lower part after I asked her to cut the inner lower brow part. I'm was confused.. my eyebrows are now c shaped and is now thin as hell. My eyebrows still don't match. She did a really bad job. I tried to work with her but she thought she knows what best for my face. Like no I do, it's my face. Now my eyebrows are ugly and thin. It's been over two years since I've had my eyebrows done (I was already overdue pre-pandemic), and by the time I was ready to come back, my regular place had closed.  I put my trust in Yelp and found Perfect Look. Sarina was so nice right from the start, and did an incredible job of somehow finding a shape in the two little caterpillars I'd been sporting for a couple years!  Despite the overgrowth, she managed to make the experience virtually painless, and while she took her time and I never felt rushed (like I do at some other threading spots), I still was out the door very quickly, with no angry redness on my face to reveal where I'd just been, so I could easily get on with my night. I was looking for a way to spruce up my face to get some eyebrow threading. Located in the heart of midtown, it is located on the 2nd floor off the 6 train on 33rd Street in Manhattan. When you go inside, the salon is impeccably clean with beautiful pristine white floors that looked like it's been polished for days. Very welcoming people that work there and they make you feel like you are at home and takes their time to make sure the job is done right. Never going back here again. Got full face threading and it was for a reasonable price. However, Saru took off a significant amount of eyebrow off of my right side (and not from my left) - significant meaning about 1/4-1/2 an inch, which is a lot for eyebrow! It's super uneven now and unless I take off a big chunk from the other side, it will be uneven until I grow it out. I mentioned this dissatisfaction with her and at first, she didn't even acknowledge it and pretended like she had no idea what I was talking about. I continued to press on the point until she dismissively "apologized" (it was very forced and not sincere at all). Didn't offer any kind of way to make it up to me or fix it; she didn't even take a close look to see how she messed up or how she could rectify the situation. Don't go here - at least, don't go to Saru. Based on the other reviews, it sounds like some of the other ladies do a good job. However, her lack of skill and lack of customer service will make certain that I will never go back. read more

I came in for a quick clean up on a Friday afternoon. They were pretty empty but only had one girl working so there was a bit of a wait. You have to get buzzed in - they are on the second floor of a building. Overall the interior felt very clean and the esthetician wore gloves and a mouth covering. New thread was used, and I had aloe applied afterwards as well. They also have a stamp card system if you're a frequent flier. Eyebrows are the usual price of ~$7 and they take card. Three stars because I came out rather unhappy with my eyebrows. They were uneven between my eyes - my eyebrows end rather square and the esthetician rounded out one of my eyebrows while keeping the other one square, which was rather frustrating. Additionally, the esthetician had plucked one too many hairs in certain segments, so there were kind of uneven bald-ish spots all throughout my other brow. It's nothing that some castor oil and time can't fix but was definitely surprised at the low quality clean up given the high ratings for this place. I didn't end up asking them to fix it because I feel like it's usually a bad idea to have the same person try to fix a poor job. read more

I've been having my brows threaded for at least a decade and this was, without a doubt, my best experience. I unfortunately live upstate, but will most definitely be stopping in every trip to the city (with my new punch card!) It's a clean, spacious space on the 2nd floor and was, quite thankfully, very well cooled on a gross NYC day. My tech was amazing. She spoke with me first, and I was requesting quite a brow overhaul, so she made sure she understood what I wanted, also checking throughout to make sure I was pleased, and she simply slayed my brows. Now, I normally dislike trying new places for fear of the end results but since I've returned twice, this salon made the cut to my safe list! While I wouldn't go out of my way to come here if I didn't work around the area, it is a salon that I know I'd come to if I really needed my eyebrows fixed on a whim. I came here one Friday afternoon when it was practically empty and they took me in right away. I came a previous time and made an appointment after work but had to wait around 15-20 minutes. Depending on when you go, wait time can be inconsistent. The woman who worked with me in my recent visit (her name starts with a P--) was not the friendliest of the bunch. She didn't bother giving me any direction with how I should hold down my brows and mostly laughed as I struggled. She worked quickly but roughly. My strays were cleaned up but once I left, I realized the woman didn't even bother to trim my overly long brow hairs. I am so happy I found Perfect Look after getting botched eyebrows twice at what was my usual salon. On Saturday, I went to the other salon and my usual threader was not there. Since I had a date that evening, I asked the lady to clean my eyebrows up and not to do anything to make them uneven. I would rather her leave more, that way it can be fixed later if needed. She proceeded to give me two completely different eyebrow shapes and rounded out the top of one of my arches. Needless to say, botch me twice - I am never going back. The first time they messed my eyebrows up, I was told I have very tricky eyebrows. So it's not them, it's me. Insert eye-roll. So after some frantic Yelping, found Perfect Look and hopped on to the first subway headed that direction. Saru took one look at my eyebrows and winced. All the hairs that were supposed to be cleaned up under the eyebrows were left behind, and all of the hairs that were supposed to be left alone to give the eyebrows structure was randomly snatched away - like the tail of the eyebrow and the top of the arches. After examining my eyebrows further, she said my eyebrows aren't tricky at all. They both grow the same direction and it's quite thick so she can shape them easily. So after telling me the best thing would be to wait two weeks and then get them re-done, I asked if there is anything she can do right now to make them look human at least. She worked her magic and the difference was like night and day. Though it isn't perfect, and won't be for a few more sessions while they grow back in the right places - it is a huge improvement and I was able to go out without feeling self conscious. YALL ARE TRASH. HORRIBLE. Messed up my eyebrows. I asked to have my eyebrows cleaned up but leave some hair in the front of the left one because the hair doesn't grow. Completely disregarded what i said and made my eyebrows thin and uneven. She tried telling me that because i came to her with my eyebrows filled in and she wiped it off that is why they look thinner now. She took off so much hair that i could see the tan line. I even showed her a pic of what my eyebrows look like with out being filled and try to tell me i filled in the picture. I didn't realize that my eyebrows were uneven for the last two years until I decided to pop by this place. I was nearby the area and decided, why not? I stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon around 2 PM and 2 out of 3 chairs were occupied by other girls. Riya was my threader; she really knows how to shape! First thing she said to me was that left eyebrow was arched higher than my right one...Ok so I guess I've been walking around like that for the past year or so and no one bothered telling me! Riya was pretty quick; within 5 minutes she was done and handed me the mirror. It's the first time that I've actually seen my eyebrows in a natural minimal-arch shape-I'M SOLD! The threading process did hurt a little bit more than what I'm used to, but it might be because I was sunburnt at the time. Your $7 threading can be $5 with a yelp check in and includes threading, trimming, and free aloe. Extra perks: 1. They have a charging station by the front, just ask! 2.
