DO NOT COME HERE I came here for eyebrow threading and Kay convinced me to also get an eyebrow tint. I told her that I'm allergic to black henna multiple times, specifically PPD, but she insisted that her henna is 100% natural and that there's different kinds of hennas and hers is just a naturally darker one. I confirmed multiple times because I said that I thought henna was orange and my hair is black and I didn't want to henna orange into my hair. She reassured me that it was completely safe and natural, and that there was no way anything would happen because there are no chemicals. 24 hours later my eyebrows are super red, itchy, and have started to blister. All signs of a chemical burn. I messaged her asking for the ingredients that was used so I can take it to the doctor, but suddenly she's in an accident or her car is on fire and she wants to talk to me on the phone. I tell her to call an employee instead to send me a photo of the product. Now she doesn't respond. I went to the salon again today to try to see what the heck she put on my face but suddenly the product is in the garbage that was taken out yesterday, and they don't have any more of this product to show me. They are lying about their products and take no responsibility for causing this, especially when I had specifically disclosed this particular allergy. NEVER GO HERE. I will be filing an official complaint with the state and small claims court. This is totally unacceptable. read more

Returned and again they were so aggressive with pushing other services I didn't ask for. I came just for eyebrow threading and the whole time she kept telling me all these other waxing and other services I needed to get, like a Brazilian wax. When I said no, all I want is an eyebrow threading, she just kept pushing more. I should've learned from my last visit - they really need to stop. They did a decent job with the eyebrow threading but were a little tougher than usual. It was definitely more painful than my typical experience at Perfect Brows and the woman actually left a cut/bruise on my eye but didn't apologize (see photo). Should maybe just stick with Perfect Brows next time. read more

They're doing it very roughly chopped my skin I called afterward to explain what happened and ask how they would address it. The owner told me I "wasn't prepared" and then hung up on me. I have to forgive myself for coming here for a Brazilian wax. I hadn't been here in years and I expected the same experience. the staff felt new, and the salon recently upgraded to do nails now. so maybe there is a new owner I figured I get some grooming done while I had 45 minutes of free time. eh so yeah the waxing started smooth gentle and barely any pain to technique changed from rolling diagonally in the direction of hair growth to pulling up hard. I looked over and she was double dipping. that is not good. no licensed esthetician would do that. I decided I was good on this wax and didn't want her to clean up any hairs she missed. this place is unsanitary. I don't trust this place and won't be back. I will stick to sugaring or the place I trust with good estheticians on Fulton St in Brooklyn. ugh I paid for my service but the options were zelle the owner (tax free) or just your debit card and pay tax. oh, cash was also an option. she rushed me to decide on my form of payment. that place is not my vibe. Lesson learned tipping seems to be a guilt trip. it is already totaled in terms of 15%,18% and 20% she also asked if I wanted underarm or eyebrow waxing. well, she said to get eyebrows or underarm waxing, miss. I said sorry, no time. I feel so unsatisfied and annoyed I didn't wait until tomorrow to go somewhere else. I have been applying aloe and arnica gel to soothe my skin. read more

My new go to eyebrow threading place! The service: Jolly was efficient and this was probably my least painful experience getting my eyebrows threaded. I have a low pain tolerance and this after trying countless of salons in nyc. (Bonus points for also not inflicting the emotional pain of criticizing my skin that some aunties at salons like to do IYKYK ) The space : TBH I was in and out so quickly I didn't really gauge this. But overall was clean with comfortable seats and in a convenient location so I can't complain! Appointment needed : nope, they accept walk ins. I came in at 530pm on a Thursday and Jolly was able to do my eyebrows right away. This has been one of the better threading salons I've visited, especially in the city! I had uneven brows that I've been wanting to fix and my brows were taken care of and still look full. Highly recommend!! I'm super picky about my brows and this is the one place I am consistently happy with. They are subtle with the shaping (as I asked) and super detailed (never any stray hairs). It's painless and quick. I live across the city and tried going to closer places but they did not compare. This is the only place I trust.
