While the service was friendly, the approach to pricing was dishonest. I was discouraged from using Groupon and then charged double what they advertise on their own website. A bait and switch is a dealbreaker for me. I won't go back. And you shouldn't either. Not with so many other options nearby. read more

I used to love this place. This was my favorite waxing place (no matter who waxed me) and I told all my friends to go here. DO NOT COME HERE NOW. The new waxers are rude and unskilled. I asked for a simple triangle brazilian and instead I got some weird ass trapezoid. Simple instructions were not followed and I was given attitude at the end. Really like 3.5 stars but they deserve a round up because of the pricing. Let me prep you on the environment first. They have a few rooms for services to be performed but they're not real rooms. Just dry wall that doesn't go up to the ceiling. I was waiting for my appointment and the girl that was in the room was a first time brazilian wax and you could hear her the entire time. Cursing and breaking the bed and all. So just a preface on the privacy situation first. As for my actual waxing experience, I brought a groupon to try their brazilian chocolate wax. I think they try to sell an upgrade to everyone to their blue wax which is supposed to be for sensitive skin I believe. I declined. My waxer was quick with the chocolate wax which I appreciated. They fill a cup with the chocolate wax from the outside so there's no double dipping in that sense. As I left, she did give me a card that she said will honor the Groupon price for the next visits. I believe I saw a sign on the front door that they offer a basic Brazilian for $15. read more

They're so sweet but I walked in for eyebrows and waited for 10 minutes before anyone came out and said anything -- she said she'd be done in 10 minutes, and 3 other customers came in and left while I was waiting without any updates on what was going on. I had a great experience here! Shallu and Sarah were so warm and welcoming. The place is very clean. I got my eyebrows threaded and tinted, my lip threaded and a chocolate Brazilian. While everything was fantastic, the chocolate Brazilian was the best! I felt no pain and that's amazing :-) and the prices are extremely reasonable. Stopped by here for a quick walk-in one evening, and both ladies were very nice. The space is clean, tidy and you can tell it's new. Their prices are great since they're promoting their opening, and the threading was exactly how I wanted. I explained to my threader what I wanted and she did it flawlessly! A good place to have in my back pocket, the prices were very reasonable and I also did some light waxing which was quick and painless as well. I went here to try the "sensitive skin" cream wax. The ladies here are nice but it was the most painful wax I've ever gotten, and gave me the worst reaction I've ever had (and I never get reactions from wax). I'm still feeling the pain from it days later. Not to mention, it didn't even get all the hair. When I went back to talk to them about it the next day, they told me my skin is fine but I should try a different wax next time. My skin was not fine and I was not going to try a different wax from them if their "sensitive" one gave me a reaction. I guess they have no idea how customer service works. This place is great - if you're expecting a 10 star spa experience this ain't the place, but I've been going here for months for my Brazilian, eyebrow and upper lip threading and don't have any complaints. The staff are totally fine, they're to the point, and I get what I pay for with what I think to be is great pricing for the area. Well I should've gone with my gut feeling to not come here and go to the salon around the corner on 12th st and avenue A. I say this because your one lady staff member on Sunday afternoon, is completely a wreck. I have never been so uncomfortable and have never been so upset with my eyebrows. BTW NEW CLIENTS READING THIS, the lady dropped the whole roll of thread and it rolled all over the floor and it will still be in use. Eye care is extremely sensitive so beware anyone who is considering this spot. I can't decide what is more upsetting, the bad eyebrow shape up or the unsanitary and uncomfortable conditions. The eyebrow shape I have been getting for the past year has been ruined by her as well as I had to run home and wash my face. The reason I had to run home to wash my face is I saw the lady pick her nose, touch money, then use a drop of hand sanitizer to wash it off... before touching my face. The hair after it is plucked off your face by a thread is left there for you to wipe off yourself by the cheap tissues that barely wipe anything off. And expect to give a tip after this horrific service and hearing the lady's clogged up nose breathing right next to your ear, reminding you how she picked her nose... I thought she was the receptionist and didn't know she was going to be touching my face. I really hope there is more sanitary steps put in place, I can only hope she washed her hands after doing the lady's Brazilian before me. Anyone reading this, beware... do not enter and do not trust your beautiful skin here. I have a weird bump under my eye after this experience. read more

Terrible and rude customer service. Website says they close at 8:30. I called before to make sure. They said I was good as long I arrived by 7:45. At 7:30 I was told they couldn't take me. She was very fast, and very rude with my Brazilian wax! She missed large areas because the hair supposedly was too short, even though it was definitely long enough! She didn't even try to do a second pass to get stray hairs, and missed a large area of hair that was more than long enough! Why the hell would you not do a second pass? Had a great experience! I went in and got an eyebrow threading and waxing. I called ahead and asked if I could walk in in 20 minutes and the woman on the phone was very accommodating and said there was availability. When I got there she got to work on my brows and did an amazing job - mine are very uneven and they haven't been done in a couple of months so I needed *help*. Right after she walked me to the waxing room where she said I could leave my clothes in the basket and she'd be right back in. They have 3 different types of wax, but I can only remember the chocolate ($15) and the blue organic. I did the blue organic which was on the higher end of what I was hoping to spend but I have sensitive skin so I just wanted to be sure I didn't have any issues! The threading was quick and relatively painless, tinting was seamless and she confirmed the color tints before moving forward. Great salon for the price and how efficient they are but in the time of covid, I'm not 100% convinced how they're addressing thorough cleanliness. The small waxing room wasn't cleaned properly when I came in (they basically had to rush in and take out the used paper roll that they covered the bed with and all the other bits of used waxing paraphernalia that was in there. I wasn't convinced that the bed was sprayed down or disinfected either. There's a clear shower curtain that's meant to be some kind of divider between you and the waxer, but when I came in a day after phase 3 was lifted, it was already dirty and full of wax and doesn't look like they wipe it down between appointments either. read more
