First of all the tint was inexistent I did not have any extra color to my lashes and second my right and left curl looked totally different one went straight up and was tangled toward my nose area and the left was curled but not as lifted as the right. I used to love coming here when Paola was my esthetician. She always did my lashes beautifully--natural, subtle, and exactly how I liked them. It felt like "my lashes but better." Unfortunately, Paola no longer works at the Lash Loft, though she kindly recommended a new esthetician for me. From the start, the experience felt off. I explained that I wanted a very natural look, but instead of listening, the new esthetician brushed it off, saying, "I already know--Paola left a lot of notes." 1 star for service of a long time customer. I have been coming here for the last 5 years, and have seen different techs. Generally have loved the lash extensions I've gotten, but the last few sets I noticed lashes falling out more frequently. The last glamour set I started to get a lot of eye irritation and asked for a removal instead of a refill, and told them I wanted to rebook a few days later once irritation subsided, and before a photo session I had scheduled. I booked a full set appointment with another tech that was available a few days later, since my regular was not. I was barely 10 minutes late with subway delays on a Friday eve and they refused my appointment, no offer to try to extend even offered to pay additional fee for the tech to stay later. I had so much anxiety coming back the next day to get my lashes fixed so as a result I explained the style that I wanted to Yoko way too many times and even asked if we should do one eye at a time and see if I like the work done enough to have it copied onto the other eye, which she said wasn't necessary. BUT I didn't need to be so anxious at all!!! SHE GAVE ME EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED ON THE FIRST TRY!!! [Original Review] Got my first ever lash extensions done here. I was told on the phone that I would be able to get the new client 30% off promo despite the fact that two weeks before I had a lash lift done at this location (the promo would still apply since it would be my first time getting eyelash extensions here). At checkout I was told that whoever I spoke to on the phone misspoke and that I wouldn't actually receive 30% off. Normally I wouldn't be so pressed over not getting 30% off since they gave me 10% off anyway for being a returning client, but I'm not happy with the lash extensions. I was very specific, showing a photo of what I wanted and saying several times to multiple people, including the lash tech Sabina, that I didn't want much length added to my lashes because they're already long, and that I wanted the cat eye style (increasing lash length from short to long from the inner corner to outer corner). Rudely one of the lash lift guys said that my lashes "aren't that long" and tried to push their lash serum product onto me. But most importantly what I received from Sabina is incredibly long lashes that were almost all the same length. After explaining to Sabina that this is not what I wanted/showed her, she then "fixed" my lashes by making the outer corners even longer and the inner corners almost not noticeably shorter. My lashes tech recently retired, so I had to go through the process of locating a new tech. I came across the lash loft. It's a nice place. I would give it a second try but with a different lash tech. The young lady was nice, but there were a few boxes for me that went unchecked. Being that this was my first time at their location, the lashes tech had not discussed the style and shape options first that you normally do as new client. I initiated a few comments on my likes and dislikes because I wasn't sure that I selected the appropriate package. She said yes. When she was done, she didn't hand me a mirror to view the finished results. I stood up to view the lashes on the wall. I really didn't enjoy the experience, felt like a rushed process, and I felt like my lashes were basic for the amount that I spent. I've been to both locations and have always been happy with the results. The place is always clean, and they even provide complimentary water and snacks. I always get the same service (classic full set cat-eye) and the results have been consistently great. The main reason why I'm writing this review (I don't write reviews) is because I have been very pleased with their customer service. I've had to contact them twice, the first time because I got an allergic reaction (I'm allergic to almost everything so I doubt they were to blame), and the second time to request adjustments to my lashes (the day after I got them done). On both occasions I received excellent customer service, and my concerns were taken care of immediately. Overall my experience with this establishment had been excellent. The Lash Loft is very clean and the front desk and technician were super nice! However, 11-12 of my lash extensions fell out overnight on the first night (I followed all instructions and didn't get them wet with water or workout for 48 hours) and more continued to fall out. They were basically all gone after a week. I've had good luck with lash extensions staying on in the past from other salons, but I did everything the same with these to preserve them, but they still fell out. I was really disappointed since it was not cheap. I emailed the next day with a photo of the lashes that had fallen out, but did not receive a response, which I found disappointing since the service was good in person. read more

So I started getting my lashes done last summer so I'm no connoisseur. With that being said, I thought I give this place a try because I usually get them done at a price point of 60$ which is the not so glamorous BUT my lashes always come out good and last. Decided to try this place out since it's at a higher price point so I figured my lashes would be exquisite. The place is very beautiful and clean. They have an option of wine and water as well as an assortment of snacks to nibble on. I just wasn't really impressed by the job that they did. First time I went my lashes fell off within 72 hours. I got them done again and it lasted no more than 2 weeks. As in it was completely off by the second week. I'm probably going to go back to my original place because it's worth the price and value. read more

While the location, Flatiron, is trendy (and a bit touristy), and the space is nicely decorated (5 chandeliers for one ceiling), I got the impression of a hard, aggressive sales-focused business. I was led into a large back room with many dividers that separated many beds. I overheard the tech next to me telling her client about a 30% discount for new clients when she had asked about the price of a particular set. I wasn't offered a discount, and it was my first time going there. I didn't inquire about the price of the set suggested to me by the tech, but nor was I expecting to pay over 120. With the tip, it was about 150. Which is the most I've paid for mediocre looking lashes. The tech herself was a very sweet person. I get the sense the employees at eye lash places could be similar to nail salons, overworked and pressured to up sell. At front desk, I was asked if I wanted to book my refill appointment. I was asked if I wanted to purchase an eyelash serum. Part of the reason I go to nail and eyelash salons, spas, and such self-care pampering places is for the respite from obnoxious aggressive salesy businesses. Thank you. read more

Been wanting to come here ever since my former coworker mentioned it to me. Also, I noticed how full, natural, and lengthy her eyelashes were. So I finally got around to booking an appointment for a "Full Natural Classic Set". As a first timer, I was able to receive this service for $99 as opposed to $150, which I was excited about. This place has such an intimate feel; refreshments and sweets available upon available in the waiting area. Soft plush pillows and sheets are also provided at your leisure. The technician throughly explained all options as far as length, fullness, and shape were concerned prior to starting. I decided to do a cat eye and 11 inches as my longest length being that it was my first visit. I was happy with how natural my lashes looked and even more impressed on how long they lasted (3 weeks); the lash brushes given to me at the end came in handy. This establishment is very precise when it comes to time. It's best to get there at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment in order to settle in and to avoid delaying the technician's following appointment. Each session takes about an hour, therefore if you're late (which I was prior to this visit), you're forced to reschedule. All in all, it's worth the trip and price if you're going for a natural look and longevity purposes. The recent steam pipe explosion within the area did concern me and ultimately prevented me from booking a follow up appointment. However, in due time, I'll pay The Lash Loft a visit once again. read more

I'm writing this review almost 6 weeks to the day after getting a full glamour set using a Gilt City voucher. My eyelashes are still getting compliments and I've used mascara only once (on just one eye) since I had them installed. I've only had eyelash extensions twice before, but I'd definitely say this was my best experience thus far. The waiting area is comfortable and separate from the service area, they offer snacks and complimentary water and it's in a fairly central part of Manhattan. Candi was gentle and took her time to make sure my lashes looked awesome. I described what I wanted without knowing the exact length and curl type and she was still able to deliver. I'm rating The Lash Loft 4 stars instead of 5 for just a few reasons - #1. weekend or after work appointment times were tough to secure, and Lord knows you need a job to afford this place because it's kind of pricey (reason #2). I'm contemplating going back even though I don't have another voucher (with the voucher + tax + tip I paid around $110), but (#3.) it would be great if they had some sort of referral program - ie. refer someone and once they book their first service offer a discount to the person that referred them. I can't tell y'all how many friends and co-workers I've shared Lash Loft's info with in the last 6 weeks and it'd be nice to see a benefit from that.
