I have had my lashes lifted and tinted for years, and am lucky that I live in DC as there are quite some excellent 'Lash places' around. I have however, never had the same quality and outstanding treatment as I received at Lash Power on Union Square in New York. My lashes were not only completely covered with color, no 'roots' visible, they were also perfectly lifted. The level of color coverage, black, was very impressive as my lashes are very blond. I visit my son in New York frequently and will make sure to make an appointment at Lash Power during every visit. read more

Ayumi is amazing at what she does. Extreme attention to detail and just a professional overall- doesn't hurt that she is a sweetheart. Her work is very client centered and is always reassuring that you are as comfortable as possible as her Client. Her expertise comes with years in the business - way before lash extensions became as popular as they are today. Your first consult is treated with the upmost concern to give you the lashes that exactly match not only your face/eyes but also your desired look. She has a variety of lashes to choose from in terms of material and fashion. She has recently started "flat" lashes which are 79% lighter than normal lashes. They have a split tip/no stiffness - these are my favorite. Lashpower rocks! read more

Getting lash extensions aren't new to me, I've done them a few times before but each one was frustratingly terrible and my lashes suffered for it. I found LashPower through Yelp and decided to give it a go. When I arrived, Ayumi (the owner, I believe) discussed with me the kind of lashes I wanted. I showed her some examples of the kind of look I wanted to achieve based on the existing photos on yelp of the work done on her clients. she was very thorough in trying to understand my needs and explained to me how she was going to achieve the lashes I wanted. The fact that she listened, discussed, and explained everything before we started put my mind at ease that paying $180 for the service would be worth it! The entire thing took about an hour and a half. After the lashes were put on and I saw myself in the mirror, I was extremely pleased with the work done! My lashes (I got the feather type, in C/J curl for a sexy cat eye look) looked beautiful and natural. Hands down the best lashes I've gotten ever. Ayumi really knows what she's doing and knows how to deliver what clients want! Just make sure you do your part and explain clearly, and with photos to give her a good idea. She will work with you to make it happen and will also explain if a certain look you want might not to be achievable with your natural lashes but trust me she's so good she'll make it work. 10/10 would recommend and I'll definitely be coming back in a few weeks to get them refilled when/if lashes fall out. read more

I came home after a very long day. With my mask on, my bf asked if I was smiling, because my eyes looked like I was! Yesterday, on a lark, I tried LashPower for the first time. I had my eyebrows shaped and a Keratin Lash Lift. Aside from both looking GREAT after treatments, I was most taken by how relaxing and spa-like the experience was. Ayumi's space is calming and super clean. She has a warm, inviting presence, and I'll definitely be back! Also, I'd never tried the lash lift, and was a little skeptical as I have course, straight lashes. Today, after a long hot shower, and 2 face scrubbings, my lashes look like I just curled them! read more

I booked Ayumi based on all the reviews on Yelp and I was not disappointed. She took her Time to explain with me what was best for my 3 week lash perm. I was told by my former lash permer that it was ok to have extensions even with a perm and Ayumi definitely educated me and worked with them with such an amazing job! I felt no irritation what so ever, she was so gentle that I even fell asleep. They lasted for quite some time so I can definitely see myself coming back. I'm actually writing this on my way there now! Thanks Ayumi! :) read more

I want to try something new, so I decided to do my eyelash extensions. Yelping and found Lashpower with 5 stars, Akina was my technician and I love her! Very proffesional while explaining which type of style and hair that I want and good for my eye shape. I chose D curl with feather because I usually used fake eyelash so D curl is totally my choice, I chose feather because it made my eyelash looks very natural... Love it and def will come back for refill! read more

I found Lash Power online when I first was considering getting lashes done. It seemed to me that the glue they use and lashes were of a higher quality than many other locations and that it was a more upscale establishment. That is certainly the case! It is a serene spa setting inside that is always relaxing and very clean. I have been going now for several months and Akina always does my lashes. She is very sweet and friendly and always makes me feel at ease and relaxed. Even though my eyes are very sensitive I am able to fall asleep during the process because she is very gentle. She doesn't even tease me when I wake myself up by snoring! Ha! The lashes look more natural than others I have seen but always stunning. I get the Leaf style and have been very happy with longevity and comfort. I go for a refill every 3 weeks but could wait for 4 if needed and they would still be ok. Overall I would highly recommend Lash Power and especially Akina for her gentle touch and lovely demeanor! read more

Highly recommend Lash Power! I was able to snag a last minute spot on a Friday afternoon and i was so happy I did it - texting to make the appointment was super quick. The location was clean and tranquil! I had the keratin lash lift and will definitely be going back. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. If you are someone like me who relies on reviews to try a place then please save yourself. I'm sure the majority of these reviews are based on the discount they offer you to leave a review. I am not new to lash extensions, I've done them a ton of times. It was my first time here and I told the tech EXACTLY what I wanted and exactly what I don't like. I asked for long lashes like what I had on ( I said at least 14s), I asked for super full long lashes for a glam look. I paid for the most expensive lash type because I mentioned that I wanted soft lashes that don't give that stiff look. I mentioned that I do not like when lashes clunk together or are pointed down. Yet everything I described that I didn't like is exactly what I got and everything I did want is what I did NOT get. The tech put 12 and 13s (not what I asked) The lashes are all poking into my eyes and there are even pieces on my actual LID above the lash line! I'll be getting these removed bc I'm sure the constant lashes in my eye is going to cause an infection. I don't have a problem spending $200 on great lashes but that's not what I got here. Given that these are causing a problem going into my eyes, I didn't get what I asked for and how awful the job was they should make it right and offer a refund! It has not even been a full week and they look terrible. I get lashes so that I don't need to wear makeup. I had full blown makeup on New Year's Eve and you could not tell I had lashes on. I got the opposite of what I asked for here so I was basically ripped off. read more

Akina is the best! Been coming back for a little over a year. She walked me through all of my options and created a look that was natural yet full. I was very unhappy with a few places before being referred to akina. Everyone constantly asks if my lashes are real and they're perfect for spring / summer because I can wear less makeup. read more

I'm a newbie to eyelash extensions, someone who waited 3 years to finally make the jump! I did my fair share of research on salons and the eyelash extension process. I queried my friends, two of whom said their eyelash extension experience were nightmares; one of my friends said that after getting eyelash extensions, her own eyelashes became very sparse, and she opted to use Latisse afterward. She warned me against having eyelash extensions. She told me to be very very careful about choosing the eyelash specialist. So that made me pause. But the recommendations here were so sincere and specific that I decided to try Lashpower. Because I rrrreally wanted eyelash extensions. Well--jump forward several months! I Loooove Ayumi and Lashpower and eyelash extensions! I had my eyelashes done for 2 sessions in a row (i.e., the first time and then a refill). The experience is very pleasant--you pick your eyelashes (there are different levels of lushness/length), and then you lie down and pretty much fall asleep while Ayumi applies the extensions. Ayumi says she uses a particular glue from Japan--and I ordered the lightest kind of eyelashes, to avoid stress on my natural lashes (still very aware of my friend's disaster experience). Then: tada! Amazing eyelashes. No problems here on my end. I'm taking a little break from extensions (I'm about to make another appointment) and my natural eyelashes are just fine. Lashpower makes me feel beautiful. read more

I have been getting my eyelash extension done for the past 2 years and have yet to find a place that I am totally satisfy with. Thanks to everyone's feedback on Yelp, I decided to try LashPower and I love the result! Thank you Ayumi! Here are the 3 main reasons why LashPower is one of the best place to go for you extension. 1) Customer Service Ayumi and I spent a good amount of time discussing my need and concerns. One of my eyelid is lower and Ayumi recommended different curves and length to adjust the difference. Result came out perfect! She even text me today to see how I am doing, I really appreciate the personal service and attention. 2) Knowledgeable Ayumi is very knowledgeable of the products and were able to help me choose the style I want to accomplish. 3) Skill Ayumi is highly skilled in eyelash extension, I got my extension removed and done with 80 mins. I didn't feel any pull or dis-comfortable near my eyes during and afterward (I have very sensitive skin and always have swollen for few days after the extension). read more

I have been going to Ayumi for 10 years now and there is no one else I trust to do my lashes. Ayumi is meticulous at her craft and does not use harsh chemicals. She uses quality products from Japan. I appreciate her attention to detail and precision as my lashes look the way I want them to each time. Ayumi is a professional and will also advise you on how you can take care of your lashes and help extend the wear of the lashes themselves. I would highly recommend (4 of my friends have been going to her as well). read more

I wish I could say that I am super excited about the result of my lashes. Did they do a good job? YES, Was the service as great as expected? YES. Did my lashes look BOOM POW afterwards? No. Unfortunately I have the shortest, faintest lashes known to (wo)man, and the technician did all that she could the improve what was there with the individual last technique and the thickest last my sorry curls could support. They definitely look better than my natural lashes, but they aren't as prominent as I would've hoped. Would I go back? Perhaps. It's a bit pricey to not feel like I'm feeling the impact that I want. So, for the most part, I'm disappointed with my eyelash genetics. read more

Ayumi is great! I love her recommendations and it always feels very comfortable. Will come again!

This was my first time getting lashes and they are great. I look really feminine and I didn't have to keep my eyes open for the process, which is an added bonus. I hope they last at least a month. This is a birthday treat, maybe if they last they will become part of my beauty routine. read more

LashPower - I love that these look natural. - Eyelash Service Near Me - Manhattan, New York

Those of you who have fragile, inconsistent eyelashes and very sensitive to chemicals should really just go to Lash Power. As always, I have my two eyelash extension favorites but Ayumi's technique and her fresh glue from Japan really sold me. I was really concern about the pricing but if I want the best with non allergic reaction then I have to stay LashPower. A word of advice as well, especially Asian eyelashes, if you have short and very thine ones; I think going to LashPower will safe you from losing eyelahses from the rest of the shops. Again, please tip well. It is a very hard job! read more

A good experience (after the procedure!) You will be walking into a brownstone wondering where the place is (no identification on any door) so you have to call them on the phone and a magical person will pop out. Seems a bit of a clumsy set-up inside with the public bathroom out in the hallway. They don't show you photos upfront to view- just a chart and the communication can be limited limited. The technician did wrap my eyes and hair line for protection but ended up making my bangs flat (she did not ask or tell me what she was doing) as I would have had her pull my hair back. Update: the lashes really lasted longer than any other place I've been to! read more

"Since it was my first time ever doing this I was a bit nervous. But Akina made me feel very comfortable she sat with me and explained everything from the lash types to the type of curves they have! She also looked at my eyelashes and told me what would be best for me. There is no wait time because they go but appointment and are very serious about being on time for their clients. The products that they use are high quality all from Japan. I was taken to my own private room, the music in the background was serene and relaxing. Her application of the lashes was gentle i did not feel a thing! I actually fell asleep only to wake up when it was over. On my way out i received a little after care packet with a lash brush and make up remover. My lashes look amazing &I will definitely make this place the only place I get my lashes done." read more

I love this place!! I got my eyelash done here over 1month ago and its still stay well! The staff was so friendly and her skill is amazing! At the first time I got counseling very carefully about my condition and how I want to get done. I felt everything clear. I have an allergy, but they using grue that low stimulation to the skin, usually my eyes are bloodshot after eyelash done, but this time I don't feel anything. I was so happy about that! Also their after care are nice too! If you have any question, ask them. They are really professional. read more

So It has been 2years sine I wrote review for this place. Ayumi still has her magic :) I have been very happy for this past 2years and she is still nice and kind. Price has not changed which you don't see that in Manhattan too often. Lol I usually book my next appointment when I leave, otherwise I know she gets booked very quickly. One time I forgot to do so ( I was in rush !) I had to wait 2weeks to catch up with my routine. Since then, I'm very good about it. Very professional and convenient location, I am more then happy every time :) read more

Okay so I have a thing against fake lashes. But a friend recommended this place and I was totally blown away. From start to finish the process was super smooth... Everyone was nice and no b.s. kinda place so scheduling my appt was easy. They knew to let me know how to take care of the lashes and also take care of my real lashes. They did a good job and were patient when I didn't like something. And their shop and equipment were all super clean and good quality I think everything was from Japan. Favorite things: 1. Ayumi is my girl. 2. They do a wonderful job. 3. The experience is so pleasant and not annoying at all and that is rare sometimes esp in New York lol read more

Perfection. Customer service is top notch. I got my lashes done and they look amazing. But also my lips and eyebrows waxed. All three was done to precision and perfection. I loved the style and the length of the lashes I got. The technicians are skilled and payed close attention to the way I described how I wanted my lashes to look. However, I've only had them for a week and they're all almost gone even though I followed the care instructions to a T. They started falling out the first couple days I got them. I wouldn't even be touching my eye area and the lashes would just be dropping down my face. Super disappointed because I absolutely loved how they looked and would've been a regular had they lasted longer. read more

I have been coming to Ayumi for the past 5 years and there are no words to describe how awesome she is! Ayumi is meticulous, delicate and a professional through and through. My lashes always look real and I never have any allergies to the glue used. I have super sensitive skin and that was always a concern, but she goes out of her way to make sure that I am comfortable and taken care of. Lash Power's customer service is outstanding! Ayumi is also a great person and always takes a personal interest in my life and remembers to ask about family members and jobs, etc. I usually get them done every 4-6 weeks and for every big occasion. Ayumi did my lashes for my wedding and she knocked it out of the park! I only get my lashes done once or twice a year, usually between December and February. I go to Akina and really love the way she does my lashes. I love how lightweight and natural the lashes are at Lash Power! read more

I have a mixed feeling about this salon and my experience though I truly wanted to love the experience..I'll be honest. It was my first time with them. When I visited this cozy and pleasant salon, the meticulous consultation blew my mind. My technician that day did not introduce herself or her name and the consultation started right off to the technical stuff. In their individually separated room I found their bed is clean looking and comfortable with back knee cushion. Nice soothing music was on :) During the application the technician poked my eyelid and under eye a few times with her sharp and pointy tool and it was painful and made me a bit uncomfortable, a bit shocked too as this never happened in my last three experiences at other salons. There was no 'sorry' or 'excuse me'. At the completion, I had a look in the mirror and thought they look gorgeous but saw that they were not even and she agreed to realign them. I thought gorgeous but I expressed that I was not sure if they were exactly the way I wanted. She mentioned that as this is our first time and we'll get better and achieve more ideal shape from next time on. When I got home, I had a better look in the mirror and find out what was bothering me. The root pat of my lash extensions overshadow my eyes meaning they are not curly enough that they made my eyes look smaller. They are not as lifted as the photos introduced here. My original lashes are stick straight and I know that with those lashes achieving wide open and perky eyelash extension is possible so I was not 100% satisfied with the result. Otherwise the extensions stays on very well. Hope this helps :) read more

If you are considering to have eyelash extension, Lash Power is the place to go. Best techniques, clean and cozy, and reliable service! Their Japanese extensions are really soft and light, so they don't irritate you like other brands do. My first experience was with another salon in Flashing Queens. Their extensions were extremely hard and hurt my eyes, and ended up having a big sty on my right eye!! PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU CHOOSE THE PLACE FOR THIS TREATMENT!!! DO NOT GO TO INSANITARY SALONS! What I most like about my extensions are they don't look too fake. Before the treatment, they checked my shape of eyes, eyebrows and face, and created the best balance of extensions. They look so natural but my eyes look bigger now:) Love Lash Power!!!! read more

This place truly deserves more than 5 stars! This was my first time here & it certainly will not be my last! Unfortunately, I didn't come to this place to get eyelash extensions, but I did go to get my eyebrows done. I was supposed to not only get my eyebrows waxed, but also my eyebrows tint. It ended up being just a wax. I've gone to many places in Queens just to pay $4 or $5 and sometimes, it's not about how much you save, sometimes it's about how you are treated and how one meets your needs. I have some horror stories with some of the places I've been to, but this place was a dream come true. Ayumi was the person that did my eyebrows a half hour ago and I walked in 5 minutes late due to me enjoying my lunch. She immediately welcomed me and made me feel right at home by taking my scarf and coat and walked me into the room where she asked me some questions about my eyebrows. It seems as though I didn't need the tint since my eyebrows were the darkest color. She took the time to thoroughly explain what I can do to make them look fuller which I appreciated, instead of just taking extra money from me and doing something that wasn't necessary. At the end of the session, she gave me a mirror and we looked at each eyebrow together and she would make sure they both looked equal & perfect. Honestly, being a New Yorker, finding places like this are a dime a dozen. I will certainly be stopping by here every month. Thanks for making me feel more confident about my brows Ayumi. Greatly appreciate it. read more

Love this place! Technicians are super nice and friendly. They buy their glues and lashes from Japan. I've been to other places that sting my eye when the glue comes off but there's no irritation at all from here. Also lashes last for much longer here. I usually go every 4 weeks as I like them looking full. If you do your lashes continuously and still want to maintain healthy lashes, I would highly recommend this place. read more
