This review is for the smoothies only. I ordered the tropical delight, and was NOT impressed. I watched it being made, and there were no fresh fruits. The strawberry and mango parts of my smoothie were just poured out a carton. Also, there were no veggie options, which it what I was really looking for. After free yoga at lululemon on Sunday morning, my friend and I went for a walk around downtown Burlingame and stopped here for smoothies. She'd been here once before for dinner with her boyfriend, but it was my first time. She told me it was reasonably priced and they were impressed that the nutella crepe was only $3.50! We both got the tropical delight smoothie (strawberry and I can't remember what else, but no banana since I don't like banana). It was $3.95 for the smoothie (I can't remember it was 16 or 24 oz, but it was the smaller of the two sizes they offer). The have all sorts of fresh fruit juices, too. The special that day was spinach/cucumber/celery, which is probably great, but I wasn't feeling that adventurous. And the guy didn't give me any trouble for paying with a credit card even though it was less than $5 (for those of you wh,o like me, hate/don't carry cash). The smoothie was ok, not my favorite ever and it didn't come with any of the free boosts like at Jamba Juice, but I liked that the place was new and the menu painted on the wall was pretty, and it wasn't crowded at all (the lunch rush arrived later, but we were there around 11am). I definitely want to go back to try a crepe. The have both sweet and savory crepes and a huge menu of sandwiches. The prices on the crepes seem average (what you'd expect). My friend said the savory crepes come with a big salad, and the sweet crepes come with lots of whipped cream and ice cream. I wish they had more seating, but the place is really small. The line at Crepevine was out the door and down the street so those people should really check out this place. It's fast, convenient, and apparently delicious (although I still need to go back and try a few crepes for myself), but it doesn't have the same ambiance or extent of seating. This is a great little unknown spot for sandwiches and smoothies. Plus the staff is super friendly. I got the Laval Paganini. It came with prosciutto, olives and mozzarella. It was pretty thick and had a unique flavorful taste to it. I also got the Bango Bash smoothie...it was tasty like a desert. And the Green Veggies Juice, which was didn't taste great but that's the price you pay for healthy juiced vegetables. If you have an açaí craving it's fine but, the açaí does taste a bit water like and frozen from a puck- similar to Jamba Juice. Great service. Delicious food/juices and amazing service! The juices are made from scratch in front of you from organic fruits and veggies. I love the sandwiches. I order a custom egg/sausage sandwich. So delicious and healthy. A lot of protein and great for after a gym session. And the service is amazing! The owner and his family run the joint and they know how to treat their customers. I see most people have given 5 star reviews as I would have expected but I am also surprised to hear some 1 star reviews but they all seem to be from Groupon customers. LOVE this place! It's a great addition to the Burlingame Avenue options. I haven't tried any of the sandwiches or crepes, I go here for the organic vegetable juices! They have a list with lots of options for your fruit/vegetable combos, but I was also told they'll make whatever combination you want, or tweak things (say if you want more ginger or less lemon or something). I love this place! This is my favorite go-to spot for the freshest juice alive. I lived in South SF and would make the trek to Burlingame at least a couple times a week to start my morning off right. They have a great value for your buck, and even let you mix in as many different veggies/ingredients at no extra additional cost! Now what other juice bar will let you do that?! The staff is wonderful. The owner is so amazing and friendly, and his crew is always eager to help with a smile. Nothing can go wrong in their day it feels like! They also offer a rewards/value program, where they scan a key chain tag and the 10th juice is free, and if you're going as much as I am, that is fantastic. They also sell large glass carafes, with the purpose of creating ANOTHER value for your dollar, where filling it up costs you less than buying 2 juices (perfect for sharing with your boyfriend/friend/stranger). I'm sure going to miss this place! Oh, and can't forget. When you are craving an amazing sandwich,.. you know, like the kind that is SO HARD to find for some reason, because a lot of sandwich places really do suck and just can't make a fresh, tasting sammy, well this place has you covered. I always get the veggie muffuletta without mayo and cheese and it is hearty enough to share, packing it in my bag to enjoy later (after my juice) at the nearby Burlingame park. A great stop for a drink for both something healthy or sweet! After walking around Burlingame Ave window shopping. We were seeking a place to grab a drink. We were going to go I T-pumps but saw the line and quickly looked to find another place. I never seem to venture to the other side of the street. I saw "juice" and felt a veggie/fruit drink would be freshing. The shop is fairly small but the decor is bright and cheerful. Their menu boards pop and easy to read. Their prices seem fair but some might find them a bit steep. I had their "Bango Bash" w/ ice cream ($3.95 for 16oz pre-tax). My friend ordered the "Tropical Delight" w/yogurt. We were both satisfied with our choice of drinks and were able to continue shopping. I'm looking forward to my next visit and trying their juices ($6.99 for 16oz pre-tax). read more

I ordered the Tropicolada smoothie (mango, strawbeery, and pina colada) with frozen yogurt and it was way too sweet. My boyfriend ordered the Banana Split smoothie (banana, strawberry, and chocolate) with ice cream and that was really sweet too. I thought the ice cream would make his drink more creamy, but nope it didn't. Jamaba juice is 10x better than the smoothies here. The place is tiny, long and narrow. there is an outdoor table for two, bar-style seating and 2/3 more 2-person tables inside. Their menu is not too extensive but they have a wide array of options to choose from. Being hungry, I went for the Toulon BBQ sandwich. DELICIOUS! the quality of the chicken was good and cooked nicely, the sauce it came with was sweet but not overpowering, and the bread was perfect and didn't take over the sandwich. Seemingly thin at first, the sandwich is filling. It also came with a small salad on the plate which I also enjoyed. Service here is extremely friendly, and from what I observed they have many regulars. They took their time to explain the menu to me, offering suggestions regarding their juices. As the weather warms I will be sure to visit and order a bottle (or two) of their freshly squeezed juice. The only thing I wish was that it was more spacious. I make my own juices almost weekly on the regular, but when I don't have time or I'm in the area I always stop to get a green juice (with extra ginger!). They are very good. I would give 4, maybe 5 stars, as they are very nice and their juice is very good. However, I stopped this morning at 8:30am - the time they are suppose to open - waited for several minutes and by 8:50am I just had to leave to get to work. No one ever showed up!!! I so needed a strong healthy juice this morning as I'm fighting a wicked head cold and didn't have time to make my own. Therefore, I'm a bit disappointed. I do hope all is ok and there were no emergencies with any of their staff, but I was kind of depending on a juice this morning. :-( read more

Sal's vision of the cafe is very simple and clean, healthy and organic, using the most delicious servings of fruits and vegetable, mastering the art of creating an amazing juice. I am not just speaking highly of them, aside from their warm personalities and passion for their vision, it really encouraged me to try what they had to offer. This place is exactly what I have been wanting in our beautiful Burlingame neighborhood. Now we have it all, fresh juice and crepes, baked goods, fun variety of restaurants from all cultures, and great shopping. My favorite juices are Morning Glory, more of a sweet citrus balance. Picked up two acai bowls on Tuesday, 7/7. Both were not great - the tropical acai bowl is listed on the menu as containing acai, mango, pineapple, banana and apple and topped with organic granola, banana, apple, walnut & honey. The pineapple and mango were missing from the bowl I received. I called the store to ask what was supposed to be included in the tropical bowl. At first, the gentleman who answered said the pineapple and mango were blended in with the acai. I said I highly doubt it, because the acai is dark purple and if the pineapple and mango were blended in with the acai, it would be a lighter color. Also, I've had many bowls and would be able to taste the difference in the acai if pineapple and mango were blended in. Then he changed his story and said the pineapple and mango are toppings and should be with the toppings. I said no, the toppings are granola, banana, apple, and honey. He kept going on and on about where the pineapple and mango are in the bowl and couldn't just admit that they were not in the bowl. I noticed there was another review with this same issue for this same menu item. Maybe they should remove this item if they don't have the ingredients to make it! We will not be returning. read more

I ordered a very delicious "morning start" smoothie., even though it was 6 pm :) ... it was a gorgeous color of reddish/orange and had apple, lemon, beet, celery and a couple of other delicious fruits and veggies. I popped in earlier this week when I search of a healthy afternoon snack option. Upon arrival I was greeted by 2 guys, both had excellent energy and were very friendly - great atmosphere. The interior is small but I took a seat and enjoyed my Açai bowl and green juice - both of which tasted fantastic! The most positive point here is the price. I've been to the majority of healthy juice/ food spots around Burlingame / San Mateo / Redwood City and this is by far the best value for money to taste ratio. Great size portions.
