The guy at the deli was friendly and chatty. There's a seating area. The deli seems nostalgic, but it was clean. Also, they sell toys, chips, drinks, and Pokemon Cards there. I ordered a sandwich and a container of pasta salad. The ingredients were fresh and delicious.

Great local sandwich shop that makes flavorful sandwiches. Friendly staff that hustles get the orders to the customers. Fresh salads are also offered along with a big array of chips and bottled drinks. As of last week they now offer tea drinks and desserts that I haven't tried yet but they look delicious. Plenty of indoor seating with a big screen tv to keep entertained.

Needed a quick sandwich near SFO before a long, rainy drive back to Sonoma County. We found Roma Deli on Yelp. It's only a 10 minute drive away and it did the trick. The name is a bit confusing to me because nothing about this deli seemed particularly Italian. Italian or not, it satisfied our hanger and didn't break the bank, so we left happy. I got a vegetarian sando on toasted sourdough roll (fresh lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, avocado, and provolone). My guest opted for a gyro. Both were large and warm. I'm not in San Bruno often, but if I find myself hungry near SFO again, I'd return.

Shorted soft roll Tuff- Dry and made bigger so think you're getting more meat or a bigger sandwich.

Greetings to all, l haven't been to Roma Deli in a few years, l was hoping for some change for the good; not today. The place itself hasn't changed much at all, dimly lit with lunch room seating for a small group of people, but for what I have seen; l don't think they could handle a lunch crowd along with their online orders. The service was great but after completing my sales transaction, no receipt was given , and I didn't notice it until I got home. I ordered the Turkey Bacon club sandwich on Soft roll, the roll was (tuff - dry ) and shorter on one side than the other making for an uneven bite for the sandwich itself. The sandwich had maybe 2 pieces of Bacon in it and I asked and paid for extra meat , the name of the sandwich is (Turkey Bacon Club) . Anyway, it has been a few years since my last visit, and may well be a few more before I come back again.

Roma Deli is in the downtown part of San Bruno. Small family owned deli with nice folks. Order at the counter and they'll prepare the order. I ordered the roast beef club on sourdough. Once received, quickly noticed it is a huge sandwhich. But it was a bit bland since only mayo is put on the sandwhich. I guess next time, can ask for mustard, etc. Compared to Little Lucca's the quality and freshness is there. Price is about the same. But the overall taste goes to Little Lucca's. Street parking only

I came here with a pretty good appetite looking for a sandwich after dropping my mother-in-law off at SFO. This place is very old and has probably been here more than 50 years. The front server was friendly and kindly let me use the restroom in the back which entailed moving past a vertical folding screen in place to discourage rift raft I guess. The server recommended the Italian beef over the meatball sub even though he preferred the meatball sub. I'd never had an Italian beef so I ordered it on a soft roll with hot spread. I had to wait a few minutes in the small dining area which was simply decorated and clean. Overall the sandwich tasted very good with the warm toasted bread and provolone cheese and dipping sauce but I didn't really like the beef, mixed vegetables (carrots, cauliflower, cabbage), and the hot spread which had chopped jalapeños. Nonetheless I would like to come back to try the meatball sub.

I'm surprised this place just caught my attention recently while in the area, as I love sandwiches. Especially with coppa, mortadella, and salami. I opted for the large ny sandwich with Dutch crunch. It was huge! Decent price. It was reminiscent of Luca's, with a smear of fresh garlic spread. The sandwich was fresh but definitely will take me a few days to finish. Friendly staff and fast service. The dining area was clean.

Delicious sandwiches stuffed full of quality Boar's Head meats! Their breads come toasted and the Dutch crunch is lovely. Got the Turkey supreme with everything, which was super filling so I was able to eat half and save half for dinner. Service was quick. No wait on Tuesday at lunchtime. Will be back to try other items off the menu

Locals have known GLM for years, and know Norma and Tony, the Sandwich Meister. Their deli case of freshly made salads to accompany your sandwich is a must. Love the POTATO SALAD, VEGGIE SALAD. Happy w/their wide selection of cold beverages, especially the SanPellegrino Italian sparkling drinks! There's also a little nicely laid out seating area to eat-in, otherwise take your orders to go. FRESH HOUSE ROASTED TURKEY or ROAST BEEF SANDWICH on Sourdough or Dutch Crunch roll added Swiss cheese, with turkey and provolone with the roast beef, with all the fixings, except for Mayo. Latter in case I don't finish the whole sandwich and had leftovers. Fresh roasted turkey and beef is the way to go for a sandwich but difficult to find in a deli where Boars Heads is prevalent. Tony uses a wonderfully pungent, housemade garlic spread but with a light touch. That makes for a much more delicious, well-balanced sandwich. GLM's CHICKEN BREAST SANDWICH is also house made but will have to wait for return visits. Also looking forward to trying their ITALIAN COMBO, GODFATHER, NEW YORKER and OLD CHICAGO sandwiches! See you there. P.S. *Ran by there around 430PMish and they were closed. So check in with Tony and Norma next time you're there to pick up some of their delicious sandwiches.

After looking through their massive menu, I decided to get the tri tip special on Dutch crunch. It took another 18 minutes to get back to the hotel but once I unwrapped this behemoth of a sandwich, I didn't know what I was getting into because this was literally the largest sandwich ever have ever had in my life. I had to tap out 2/3 way through the first half of the sandwich because I could not eat anymore. Usually when you go to places that are known for their portion size, the food ends up being mid. Little Luca though backed it up with quality ingredients. As for the 1/2 half of my sandwich, I once again could not finish it all as I was chowing down while driving through Gilroy. Do yourself a favor and find a tag team partner to take on the challenge of eating their sandwich.

On a random weekday afternoon around 3pm, I decided to walk here and holy cow it was packed! The place is very small so you kinda have to snake around in a tiny line. I ordered a tuna avocado sandwich, an ultimate, a pastrami, and a turkey. The tuna avocado was amazing! So juicy and they gave two huge spoonfuls. The turkey was so thick and juicy. I can see why this is rated #1. The ultimate was amazing as well. The pastrami I did not like. It tasted like regular roast beef. Each sandwich is ginormous, easy the size of your forearm but thicker (I have skinny arms, so maybe my arm x2)? One sandwich is enough for 3-4 meals for me, that's how big they are. This place is truly charming and I hope it continues to thrive for a very long time to come.

*this review is from a DoorDash order*…read more Ordered three sandwiches for my family and I! We got the magic trip tip, the sleeper, and the Bruno. All sandwiches were about 7inches. The tri tip was definitely the best of the bunch! A good amount of meat and was flavorful/warm. Unfortunately, the other two sandwiches were very disappointing. Both came out super tough/hard bread (we got sourdough). It was towards the end of the day, so that could have been the reason. The other issue was that my sandwich, the Bruno was supposed to come with salami, but it didn't come with any. Would try again, but go in store this time to make sure everything is made correctly.

The menu is pretty straightforward, offering a variety of basic and specialty sandwiches. Most of the basic sandwiches (the one meat options with standard toppings) were less than $10!! I opted for one of those sandwiches, getting the turkey sandwich on dutch crunch. From the cross-section of the sandwich, you can tell this is indeed a hearty sandwich. The quantity of meat they provide for the price is plentiful, and the ingredients making the sandwich all tasted fresh. The service was fast and friendly overall.
