Took a $7000 silk and wool blend rug for cleaning because my dog had an accident! The rug was fairly new and about four months old. This place was actually recommended by the business that sold us the rugs in the first place indicating they did a good job and were a good value- Which was not the case for us... 6x9 - $250.00 to clean. I wish I'd spent more on the cleaning and I actually sent it to a place that didn't ruin the rug. As the adage goes, you get what you pay for, and I wish I could unwind my decision. When we unrolled the rug at home, it was matted and had shrunk- it no longer fit the rug pad that had been so carefully fitted in the installation. The beautiful sheen of the silk that attracted us to the rug in the first place had disappeared. It now resembled a rug from HomeGoods rather than a specialty rug you showcase in the entryway of your house. Anyhow, upon contacting the ownership, we took the rug back and they were able to restore much of it however, it still is not the same Please learn your lesson from me. If you have an expensive rug, this is not the place. read more

I've been a customer of Deep Eddy Rug Cleaners for five years. They use rain water and PERC (perchlorethylene) - FREE shampoo for wool rugs; no dry cleaning. I also purchased two custom cut pads for my rugs. Today was the first time I hired them for wall to wall carpet cleaning. They expedited my rugs a week early so they could drop them off at my house while cleaning wall to wall carpet. Thanks for saving me a trip! Luis said they do not use rain water for wall to wall carpet, only rugs. No biggie. He also said they use a different shampoo for wall to wall carpet than wool rugs. While Luis was cleaning my carpet, I called the owner, Bill. Bill confirmed their carpet shampoo does not contain ammonium hydroxide or perchlorethylene. The primary compound in their carpet shampoo is sodium metasilicate, the same ingredient used by The Honest Company. I didn't check the EWG. Luis has been with Deep Eddy for nineteen years and went over the dog room three times. He said the oils from our dog is what caused the dirt to stick to the carpet. My last 2 rug cleanings have just been a disappointment. I am a house manager and have used them for years loyally even though the woman who answers the phone and does the book keeping has been rude to me in the past. This was my last experience... I brought in a rug with no stains to be deodorized. I picked it up and quickly down the road realized it still smelled like dog. (Not urine mind you) I took it back and they cleaned it again. I realized again quickly that it smelled the same. I called to see what could be done... I was only put off for days until I called back and put off again until they told me the only recourse I had was to have the rug cleaned again at an additional cost to me. We had Deep Eddy out to the house about 3 weeks ago to clean some carpets that had been trampled pretty good (old carpets in a house we just bought). I wanted to wait to write the review b/c I've heard of spots wicking back to the surface a week or so later. Well, I can report that 3 weeks later and our carpets are stunningly clean. The guy who came out (feel so bad I can't remember his name) was fantastic. INCREDIBLY friendly and polite. Unlike most carpet cleaners that ONLY do hot water extraction, these guys do a deep scrub that brings the stains to the surface, THEN they do the hot water extraction. If I didn't tell you our carpets were brand new, you'd think they were after they were cleaned. I can't say enough nice things about these guys. Professional job, great insight & advice on carpet cleaning, offered a few options for stain prevention treatment, but weren't pushy at all. They couldn't have done anything any better. I will warn you, they're more expensive than Stanley Steamer and the WOW Team, but you get what you pay for, and these guys did a phenomenal job. ~ Fabricio read more

Been using this company for many years and realized they deserve notice from me on Yelp. Luis Guevara just left after cleaning slip covers and pillows - ready to be packed away until next spring. He is always the gentlemen who comes which says a lot for the company's retention of great employees. He is always polite, competent, helpful and works hard. In the past I also took in a rug to be cleaned and Deep Eddy staff told me why it would not be a good investment to pay to clean this rug as the rug would not be clean. I dropped off a medium sized carpet for cleaning two weeks ago and picked it up today when they said it was ready. My carpet does not look any different than when I dropped it off. It would have looked better if it had just had a basic vacuum! There a human head hairs still on it that can be easily picked up with my hands. When I called them to discuss they were extremely put out and refused to refund me. They then suggested a "comprime" of picking up my carpet and cleaning it again but then hung up before getting my name or address! I will update if I am contacted and the issue is resolved. Thus far, I'm out $100, have spent over an hour driving in the heat there and back and still have a dirty carpet! read more

Employees are extremely nice, I messaged them on yelp with exact descriptions of my rug and they gave me a rundown of how costs will be. Boyfriend took it in and costs were added on due to my rug being a different kind than they were expecting and having to clean it by hand. They were honest and said that it wont be entirely back to the way it was in the past. That was fine by me! They were honest. I left the rug with them dor cleaning and they called me a week later for pickup. You pay them at pickup. Employee carried out my rug and put it in my truck for me. They're very friendly and to the point. No sugar coating, no lies, no dirty rug! Previously we brought in a white flattened rug with lots of pet pee and spilt stuff on it. We received the rug back smelling AMAZING, no pee, and fluffier than we had when we dropped it off. No before and after pictures. Sorry but for a good example, it was pure white. So impressed! I brought in a 6 year old Pottery Barn Rug to be cleaned. It had a terrible odor. The staff at Deep Eddy asked me some questions and then explained that their rug cleaning wouldn't help my problem. They even have me a flier about the products that break down in rugs and have this odor after 5-10 years. I have also been educated by Deep Eddy so I know what to look for ( and avoid) in my next rug purchase. I am impressed with their honesty and integrity! I took a Karastan 8x12 rug in for cleaning. Have used this outfit before, and they do great work... but somewhere between my first visit and my last one their prices have gone up tremendously! But to give them credit, the rug looks GREAT! But make sure to check prices so you don't get sticker shock. I'd use them again, but I'd look for coupons. read more

Highly recommend Deep Eddy for cleaning rugs and doing repair work. I have a nice wool rug with some major damage on the edges. They did an excellent job repairing and cleaning it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They had the rugs done before the date they had told me they'd be ready. Both of the rugs look brand new and don't have any chemical smell from the cleaning process. Their prices were very reasonable. My husband took in several Karastan area rugs for cleaning and fringe repair. The rugs themselves look okay, but there are two places where the fringes are still unattached and the simple dirt stains on the fringes are all still there. That's the primary reason I had them cleaned since the rugs otherwise looked fine. For $500 we expected WAY more and are seriously disappointed. I wish they'd come pick up the rugs and start over and then deliver them back to us properly cleaned and repaired. Total waste of a lot of money! Stanley Steemer has done much better work for a fraction of the cost on our other rugs. read more

Do you want your carpets cleaned or deodorized?? I contacted Deep Eddy to request an appointment to have our carpets cleaned. I told them we have Triexta and that we have surface grease stains in high traffic areas. I was assured by the appointment setter that they could do the job so I scheduled the appointment. The Technicians measured and gave me an estimate that was $600+. I told them 'no way' so they gave me a small discount. I talked to them about the stains and they got started. Even before they left, I could tell that the stains were not coming up so the technician redid the area. He told me that the color changes when the carpet is worn in high traffic area (@!#??) The carpet took a full 24 hrs to dry. When it DID dry I noticed that none of the stains were removed. I called the following week and talked to someone and they said they would come out and redo--this time with a different solution. They did come out and once again I told the technician that the surface stains did not come out...I called the office and the person told me there was nothing they could do. I explained that I feel as though we wasted $500+ and there was no offer of any kind--just that there was nothing they could do. I explained that we have only had our carpet for 2 yrs and we did not have a heavily soiled carpet--basically the stains I pointed out each time which were surface stains that needed some type of de-greaser applied. Don't waste your money on Deep Eddy unless you are just looking to deodorize your carpet--- Big waste of time/$$ Very disappointed, not only in the fact that my carpet did not get cleaned, but lack of customer service!! read more

I took my (handmade) rugs to Deep Eddy to get them cleaned and started talking to the manager or the owner about how their cleaning process works. I assumed that they steam cleaned the rugs, but I would soon get a full tour (at my request) of their processing area. It was really cool...they use rain water to wash the rugs and they have machines that remove the dust, then after they hand wash the rugs, they have machines that remove the water and then they are air dried. My rugs were like new when I picked them up! Deep Eddy isn't cheap, but they do an amazing job for fine rugs and carpets. read more

Very disappointed. Took silk rug bought in China to be cleaned. One dog urine stain, and general dirt confined to one 8' edge where heavy traffic had passed. When picked up, urine smell still prevalent and no appreciable improvement to dirt. read more

Deep Eddy did an amazing job of cleaning my wall-to-wall off white deep shag carpeting and my two area rugs. The shag was really dirty and looked as good as new when they were finished. They took the area rugs out to clean them and they came back clean and fluffy. I could not have been more pleased. Their prices are higher but the quality is much higher. read more

I've used Deep Eddy two different occasions now - for a Persian rug and to steam clean my couch. They were very knowledgeable about the age of the rug and all the details. Even informed me that the only challenge to steaming these types of rugs is that while they'll be clean as new, the red may bleed into the white lines that outline the rug, making them look a little more pink. We went for it and sure enough just the outside lines were a bit pink, but I'll take that over a dirty rug and appreciated the heads up. As for the couch, we had rented our house out furnished to a seemingly nice couple last summer while traveling...they let their sweet, but huge shedding dog essentially make it her bed. They didn't care to remove any of the fur (among other things), which was course and deeply embedded into the threading of the couch. We tried using our Dyson, then a commercial grade car cleaning vacuum (that we happen to have) and with lint rollers - nothing was getting it all off. So we called Deep Eddy and they did a fantastic job! Super professional, even offered to clean the decorative pillows that also had fur (and whatever else) on them. We'll be using them again for a couple other Persian rugs we inherited to sanitize them and give them a fresh smell/look before baby arrives. A little pricier than some rug/carpet cleaner, but not nearly as expensive as some others (austonian rugs) and the know their stuff! Highly recommend. read more

I basically never write reviews online, but had to take the time to give this business credit... I dropped off a Pottery Barn wool and jute woven rug that was saturated with a half bottle of red wine, in addition to numerous well set-in stains from my pup. Having lost a few nice rugs to red wine in the past (I should switch to white), I knew just how hard (read: nearly impossible) it would be to remove and even lessen the stain but figured it was worth the money to give it a shot. I dropped it off at Deep Eddy's and picked it back up a few weeks later (turn around time is not that long but I was out of town). When I got it home and unrolled the rug, I was SHOCKED to see that there was zero evidence of the stain. Literally nothing. Also, no stains and zero scent from the dog marks. Deep Eddy will get my business next time someone biffs a bottle during adult game night and I wholeheartedly endorse this business. It's not cheap, but significantly (1/10th) less than buying a new rug. Well worth the money. read more

If there was zero stars I would give them 0. The lease of my rental home required that I clean the carpets and the owner insisted I use Deep Eddy. After cleaning the carpets a terrible odor was released which I now understand can happen if you have pets/dogs like I do. The owner has been very ugly about this accusing my dogs of peeing in the house which wasn't true. If Deep Eddy had asked me if there were pets in the house maybe things would have been different - I don't know but in 18 years of living in many places with dogs I never had a problem like that before. I called Deep Eddy back and someone came and deodorized the carpet which then left a different terrible odor. When I called again in the morning the person who answered the phone said they would talk to the technicians who did the work and call me back which they never did. I then called Harley from Harper carpet care who squeezed me in and identified the odor as from the dog's body odor (not urine) - which was released from Deep Eddy's work -and sprayed some material on the carpet and I think in the air that completely eliminated the terrible odor. I am so sorry I used Deep Eddy to begin with and wished I had contacted Harper carpet care to begin with. read more
