We found Gold Standard on Yelp, and the reviews were spot on. Blain is a true professional, he knows his craft and does excellent work. He restored our kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, marble flooring, and laundry room concrete tile. Everything looks brand new. Great value for the quality and care he puts into his work. We're extremely happy with the results and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. We'll definitely have him back for future projects. read more

Repeat Customer here! I have used Gold Standard twice now and plan on using them for all my stone care needs in the future. Blain does an incredible job, always amazing me with how clean and shiny everything looks when done. My grout looks like new! He is also so easy to work with as he is extremely responsive and follows through with what he says he's going to do. He's efficient & keeps everything neat & clean while working. I definitely recommend Gold Standard Floor Care - You won't be disappointed! read more

Blain from Gold Standard Floor care was fantastic. We called him to come take a look at our master bathroom shower tile and grout which had some black mold and the red mold also. The store bought tile and grout cleaners just weren't even making dent for removal of the mold spots. Blain came in with his high powered water jet cleaner and some other penetrating products and made the shower, tile and grout look like new. He's VERY thorough and did a awesome job in restoring the grout and removing the stains. He even re-caulked around the shower pan and all the other necessary places. Overall we were very pleased with the results read more

Blaine did an awesome job on cleaning up our travertine shower and floors! His methods removed dark stains on grout and shower floor. Would recommend him for natural stone cleaning! read more

Blain did a great job cleaning and restoring my two bathrooms. I was trying to complete a bunch of projects before moving in to my new house, so it was a chaotic work environment - he was able to work around all the craziness happening. I appreciate the attention to detail and great work that he did. I didn't have room in my budget for a bathroom remodel, but this made my bathrooms look so much better than before move-in and we are very happy with the work. Also the price was very reasonable considering the quality and the hard labor. I wouldn't hesitate to use his services again. A+ read more

I'm a house manager in Westlake, and I deal with tradesmen and women all day long. For some reason, the more money a person has, the more insane the vendors who take care of their home, apparently. I used to use a different company for all the natural stone refinishing and repair, but that guy was a complete pain in the ass. I checked Yelp and found Gold Standard Floor Care. What a relief! Blain is professional, hard-working, and gets the job done. He's usually booked out a few weeks in advance, but he actually came out on a Saturday to take care of a patio we needed polished for a large event we were hosting. I appreciate that he answers texts, phone calls and emails in a timely manner, shows up on time, and does great work. Highly recommend Gold Standard! read more

I was so very pleased with the service provided by Blain. We had a champagne bottle that popped a cork in the middle of the night and caused havoc on our travertine floor. We were devastated that there was a very thick film on our floors. Blain was able to fully restore the floor to pre-champagne condition. I was very impressed at his high level of customer service and professionalism. My husband and I are realtors and we plan on referring him to our clients. read more

Blain did an incredible job color sealing the grout in our home, and polishing a countertop! After first thoroughly cleaning the tile and grout (and what a difference that made by itself!), Blain expertly laid the color seal, which he color matched in advance to be a perfect fit. Having a counter top polished also left it looking just like new again! His attention to the smallest details is noticeable not only in the grout and tile, but also in the great care he gives to your furniture and other items. He was very gentile with our items, and this is very well appreciated. Communication was fast, easy, and he was always happy to answer questions, and his rates are exceptional. I can't recommend this small business enough! Give Blain a call and enjoy the excellent work he provides! read more

Cannot, cannot, canNOT recommend Blain and Gold Standard Floor Care enough. He is so responsible and knowledgable, he makes everyone else look really terrible. Our house was set to go on the market on a Friday, painting was to be done by Monday or Tuesday inside, house cleaning Wednesday, tile and carpets Thursday. I scheduled with Gold Standard and Blaine made me feel very comfortable that he was set with his schedule, he knows his own schedule, and he was not a flake. As the house was going on the market, you can imagine how important that was to me, I was a bit of a nervous wreck, let me tell you. Thursday Blain showed up on time and called to let me know he was at the house (my husband was out for a minute so had left the door open). Blain wanted to be sure and talk to me before going in the house, which was very professional. As Blain was cleaning, his machine broke down. He called me as well as talked to my husband so we both knew, and he took the machine to be fixed. He told us he would not wait more than a couple hours (it was still early afternoon) before getting a backup person to do the work so it would still be dry by evening. The machine DID get fixed and he finished working just a couple hours behind his planned time. Because of the "delay", he apologized, which surprised me as I know things break and yet he was prepared with contingency plans and got the job done. Blain, can you please allow yourself to be cloned and run lots of different businesses because you set the standard for how things should be DONE. The tiles and grout looked as good as they ever could (grout is old and cheap, but some of it that was not too damaged did clean up nicely) and the carpets were (a) clean! and (b) dry by night. He has services for carpet care and floor care too -- he cleans and then has long-term care things, we did not use those as we are moving but I will absolutely hire Gold Standard when we move. read more

Description Of Work: Carpet cleaned in LR and 3BRs. Tile/grout cleaned in Kitchen. Granite cleaned and sealed. Couch upholstery, 2 chairs and throw pillows cleaned. We have owned this house for 10 years and have had several different companies clean our floors throughout the years. This service was by far the best job we've had done and we are recommending him to all our neighbors. Member Comments: Showed up on time, set up his equipment taking care to insure the hoses did not scrape corner of walls (used corner protectors) and wood floor did not get scuffed (using floor mats). Utilizing a van-mount system, I was surprised by the actual carpet cleaner that had a rotating head design. It did a much better job than the standard wand-system we've seen other companies use in the past. Once an area was done, (including Scotchguard) a large fan was deployed to accelerate the drying process. Carpet was dry enough to walk on within 30 minutes and fully dry within 2 hours. Tile was cleaned using a special cleaner and good, old-fashioned elbow-grease. Blain worked each grout line with a wire brush after applying the "Viper Venom" and then ran the rotating head cleaner over each tile to shine everything up. Grouts lines were then sealed by hand using a simple foam brush. Looked like new. Granite was cleaned, polished, and sealed. Blain left a buff towel and daily cleaner for us to use afterwards for our day-to-day cleanups Upholstery was cleaned and my wife was very happy with the smell of the furniture. Apparently, this was WAY past due. All-in-all, it was a long day but the extra time spent was well worth it when you compare the results to past experience. I wasn't disappointed in my previous carpet cleaning vendors, I just know I won't be paying less for a "quickie" cleaning in the future. read more

Blain is friendly, professional and does a great job. He was very detailed and thorough on our shower tile restoration. Recommended.

Did a great job filling up some cracks and chips on my tiles the color matched perfectly which surprised me due to the design of my tile. Showed up on time and communicated promptly about the process and the expectations, would recommend to anyone looking to fix their tiles. read more

We had gold standard seal all the tile & grout in our new home. Blain did a fantastic job, and was there waiting to go to work as soon as the closing was finished. We had a couple of pits filled in our granite countertops, you would never know that they were there now. We also had them cleaned, resealed, and polished. Blaine was a pleasure to work with. Had an amazing experience with Blain and company. We needed our 3300 square foot business floors cleaned for our bustling salon (Blonde Faith Salon) and the results were worth every penny! Floors look great and we are budgeting to have this done more often as cleaning tile this good is more than any great maid service can do for us. Our interactions with Blain were perfect and professional with great communication from the estimation process to the final lockup. Business looks noticeably fresh and 1 1/2 years of grime is gone, floors look brand new. Thanks so much for the great service! Highly highly recommend. read more

Blain was quick to respond to my inquiry and questions. He came out to assess the condition of the travertine floors in my new home, and he explained what they needed in a way that was easily comprehensible to someone (me) who didn't know a thing about natural stone flooring. His estimated price was comparable to others I received for cleaning and sealing the tiles, and he was able to get to work quickly so that the floors were ready for move-in day later that same week. When he was finished, the floors looked great, and I couldn't otherwise tell he had even been there--no trash or footprints or scuffed walls or anything. He was thorough and professional, and his sealing treatment passed the "accidental wine spill" test just a week after he did the job. I would recommend Gold Standard for natural stone floor care, and I will definitely call them again the next time my travertine needs sealing. read more

Blain cleaned and resealed the terrazzo (in-slab, not tiles) and quarry tile floors throughout my house. He was prompt, accurately estimated the schedule, worked hard, and was clean and professional. He was also exceedingly respectful and well-priced. I can't ask for anything more! read more

Blain did a great job on oyr marble countertops! He explained the process thoroughly and completed the work at a fair price. He also did work on our bathroom floor. Because of the nature of the tile, the coating be applied didn't work. He came back several times to fix it and didn't leave until we were both satisfied. I would highly recommend him read more

We had our porcelain tile floors cleaned today by Gold Standard Floor Care. The 18" tiles have pits in them to make them look like travertine. Nice effect, but the pits load up with dirt. Mopping does little to clean them. After requesting referrals from our neighbors on NextDoor, we chose Gold Standard Floor Care and are glad we did. Blain Haeg, the owner, is the consummate professional. He arrives when he says he will; he responds when he says he will; and he does a great job. Moreover, his price is reasonable and he's efficient. He's also honest about what results to expect-in our case they were excellent results. It's nice to find people who care about their work and customer satisfaction. I wholeheartedly recommend Gold Standard Floor Care. read more

Highly recommended. We got three bids, and Blain was the most professional, explained the most about the process, and gave the best recommendation about how to clean our tile floor. Pricing was competitive, but went with him ultimately because I liked his professionalism and experience. Trusted he would do a good job and he didn't disappoint. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Blain. He was out again today to clean my carpets and they look fantastic. In addition to my carpets, I also periodically have him clean my tile and grout, which makes my house look amazing. He is super punctual and very polite. He also takes the time to put up bumpers to ensure the hoses don't dink up the paint and walls when going around corners. I've never had another company do that before. I recommend him to everyone and will continue to keep using him in the future. read more
