Steam Doc has the most comprehensive web site, which made it easy for me to know what I needed when it came to cleaning and resealing grout on a home we just purchased. The rep that came out for the estimate was kind and knowledgeable. Their prices were competitive and they did good work on our ceramic floors. We called about a light haze in areas and they immediately offered to come back out to make it right. Had a great result from a local company and thought I'd pass along. I sealed our grout when we bought the house nearly 4 years ago. Unknown to me, the damn Swiffer Wet Jet has destroyed what I painstakingly applied those years ago. Grout lines are very dark in the high traffic areas and no amount of scrubbing with various cleaners could fix the problem. Called Steam Doc Tile & Carpet Cleaners for an estimate. They have great Yelp reviews and Marcus is a super nice guy. They arrived to do the work, all tile was steamed clean, dried and several coats of a colored grout/sealer product were applied by hand. Scrubbed in with a brush, wiped off, then a finishing painters swipe. Product has a lifetime guarantee if taken care of and easy to touch up if needed. Came out great....feels like new floors all over again. Threw out the Swiffer to never cause this issue again. I am beyond livid right now. The type of stars your company deserves are not happy ones. Your technician Andrew came out to scope my tile floors on Nov. 6th. He noted pitting throughout my grout, and advised he needed to check with his manager to make sure he could take the job. After getting off the phone, he advised we were a go for tile cleaning and acid wash for the grout. The only calls I made afterward were to schedule for the first week of December, and then to re-schedule for today, Nov. 21st. We have a real estate photographer coming early next week to shoot the home before we list. This morning, one of your assistants contacted me to advise of a scheduling conflict, and asked if I could push the appointment back to 3:30pm today. I told her no as I had plans later. This did not seem to be an issue, and was assured one of the techs would be here today at the scheduled time slot of 1-3pm. I received a call around 12:30pm TODAY from manager Lori who cancelled the job. Apparently he just learned that the acid wash was to be done, and did not want to be responsible because of the pitted grout. He refused to check up and find out which manager Andrew spoke with, and very matter-of-factly told me to Google another tile cleaner. Yes, a week before Thanksgiving, and 4 days before my photo shoot, I'm supposed to drop everything due to your incompetence. Your lack of internal communication is appalling. Your sense of timing and urgency with regard to the customer experience is some of the worst I have ever experienced personally or professionally. You should stick to cleaning vinyl as that caliber of simplicity seems to suit you best. read more

First of all, their customer service and communication is top notch. It was easy to schedule them to come clean and seal my tile/grout and they arrived on time. They measured the areas to be done and said it would take about 3 hours to complete, however, they completed it in 2 hours 45 minutes. Once the job was done it was inspected for quality before they left, which I really appreciate because a second set of eyes is always a good thing. I've had two separate services done and both were stellar. First I had the grout and whole house carpet done. He was on time and best of all got everything nice and clean. The purpose was to do a showing to sell the house and I got regular comments as to how clean everything looked. After reading all of the positive reviews, I thought I'd try Steam Doc, unfortunately our experience was not as excellent. We needed our carpet cleaned in our Master, dining, and stairs. I contacted Marcus and he gave me an excellent quote and he arranged for an appointment last week. He arrived on time and was extremely nice and explained what he would be doing, I went ahead and asked him to clean the upstairs as well since he was here and he then quoted me the additional and I accepted. Now here is where our disappointment lies. His employee sprayed the area and said he would wait about 10 minutes then begin the cleaning. Marcus had stepped out and was not really overseeing his work, which to be honest I did not know that is what he was going to do. After his employee started he came back into our house, and talked to us while his employee was steaming the carpet, he gave us some tips on how we can clean with some over the counter products and again was very, very friendly, we do not dispute this. My concern is once the cleaning was done, he did not walk thru to check any of the areas that I had pointed out to him prior to them beginning. He only said to wait about 6 hours before stepping on it so he left and we waited. 8 hours later we went ahead and started to look around and to be honest, there really was no difference, stains and dirt that I would have thought would have come out, did not, understood that the carpet is not going to be perfect due to age, but there were even small dirt stains that either came from leakage from their machine or their shoes, that I had to scrub out myself when it was dry, so I'm not sure what happened, I think they perhaps should have gone over it more than once. I texted Marcus and let him know that I was surprised some of the dirt did not come out, he said that due to age, old stains could be coming back thru due to the cleaning, I then told him that there were dirt stains that were not there before and was able to remove them myself, he then offered to come by and look at it since he is close to us. I told him we'd appreciate it when he could, I thought he would of been here the next day, but I have not heard from him at all since our conversation, keep in mind he cleaned our carpet a week ago. So yes I am extremely disappointed as he promised us that he was about good customer service. On top of everything else, his employee used our upstairs bathroom that is never used, there are no towels or anything, and he did not ask to use it, and left unflushed toilet paper in it. If he needed to use the bathroom and had asked I would have let him know to use the guest bathroom. So $184.00 down and our carpet looks exactly the same. If you want a basic shampoo, then this is what you will pay for, but we could have rented the machine ourselves and saved the money. I would give Steam Doc 2.5 stars but Yelp does not let you, and this is for timeliness, affordable pricing, punctuality, and ease of making an appointment. Unfortunately we will not be using Steam Doc again especially since Steam Doc has not contacted us again about coming by to explain to us why certain stains and dirt did not come out. read more

I tried these guys out because I received a coupon in the mail. I've only lived in my home for 2 years, but its 10 year old carpet. I was very impressed how clean they got them! All the stains are up, even the dark spot by my front door! My sister also used them for her house earlier that day, which had pet stains and juice (or whatever her toddler has spilled on it lol) Her carpets are only over a year old and hers look brand new again. Other than the great work, they were also fast. My home is 1600 sq ft and they were in and out in about 45 min. The whole time he was also giving us care instructions and teaching us how to keep them clean longer. They give 10% off to returning customers, and recommend 6-8 months in between cleanings, but gave us helpful hints to make it stretch to the 8 months. I highly recommend them!
