He is a very pleasant guy and did some things well (sealing the walls of our walk in shower). However, the quality control on the two baths/showers was poor. His mom was having issues, and perhaps he was in a hurry. But we shortly began to notice a lot of overpainting. And, now, a couple of months later, as we began to scrape the overpainting off the shower wall tiles with plastic cards, we noticed even more overpainting and a number of grout lines that had major portions with no sealer and a bunch of smaller areas that had gaps. We used leftover sealer to fill in all the gaps he missed. Also, the caulking around the tubs was, simply put, sloppy. Maybe it was due to his having to travel to see his mom in El Paso. Nevertheless, my recommendation for anyone who uses him is to do your own careful quality control checks while he's there. This is not meant to 'dis' him, but to help him succeed.

July 2020: I hired him to clean and seal grout in the master bathroom shower of 3yrd old house I bought. The shower by the way was still in great shape. I just wanted a good cleaning done, and filling of couple of very small spots. I also asked him if he can seal the grout and he said he will and claimed a 15yr guarantee on the grout seal. August 2021: Within a year the shower looks way worse than it did after 3 yrs of ownership. Whatever he used as a sealant seems to have served the exact opposite purpose. I reached out to him with pictures and initially he feigned ignorance of even having worked at my house. And when I finally located and shared the receipt copy with him, he said the earliest he can send someone over to take a look is by December 6th!! Also, when I mentioned the 15 year guarantee on the sealant, he said he will check with the sealant manufacturer!! What the hell? Giovanni it was you who claimed the guarantee when you spoke to me face to face, not the manufacturer! Nor is that mentioned anywhere in the receipt! January 2022: December came and went by, it is January and I'm still texting him, calling him(he won't answer), leaving him voicemail(he won't call back). For all the reviewers who gave him 5 stars, just wait a year...see what happens. I'll pray you don't have to reach out to him for any of his "guarantee" claims. This is my worst experience with any kind of contractor ever.

They charged us $300 for a 1,509 sq ft house -- despite the fact that the home had brand-new blinds, brand-new flooring in all three bedrooms, and no refrigerator to clean. This was absolutely not a discounted or bargain price. Before hiring them, they specifically promised they would come back and address anything my realtor found unsatisfactory after the cleaning. Based on that promise, I paid them in full immediately after the service. A few days later, my realtor inspected the property and found the cleaning quality extremely poor. She provided them with a detailed list of areas that were still dirty. One toilet was so poorly cleaned that my realtor cleaned it herself. On another toilet, instead of properly scrubbing blue staining inside the toilet, they simply suggested replacing the whole toilet altogether. That alone tells you the level of effort they put into the job. The dishwasher was still dirty. Windows, baseboards, drawers, and other surfaces were visibly dirty. There were even cobwebs still hanging on the walls. When I contacted them to come back as promised, their attitude immediately changed. They were rude, dismissive, and kept delaying scheduling. I gave them my husband's number to coordinate a return visit, and they said the earliest they could come was Saturday (nearly a week later). Then on Saturday, they suddenly claimed they would not return unless someone was physically present at the house to inspect their work. This made absolutely no sense because they already knew the property was vacant and that we were remote landlords. They had completed the original cleaning using an access code with nobody present, so this was clearly just an excuse to avoid honoring their promise. After that, they stopped answering calls from both me and my husband entirely. The house was still dirty, and we ended up paying another cleaning company to redo the entire job properly. Unprofessional, dishonest, and extremely poor-quality work. I would strongly discourage anyone from using this company. Respond to the owner's response: you lied! (1) The toilet was totally cleanable. The second cleaner cleaned this toilet with no problem. It looks very clean now. But you even didn't try and simply asked me to buy a new toilet. What a moron. Another toilet shown in the picture showed how my realtor easily cleaned after you still left it dirty! (2) my husband said he didn't clearly agree to have someone come for you because your accent was strong and he couldn't clearly hear what you said. Simply not realistic for us to agree. When he called you, you also didn't tell him which day and time you could come back to clean the house either. Later when I called you to come back, I already explained to you why we couldn't have someone on the spot waiting for you because it was an empty house and we couldn't hire someone to wait for you there. You knew this already even before we let you clean our house at the beginning, because we gave you the house access code to come in and nobody was there! We told you our realtor would come a few days later to check and asked if you could come back to finish cleaning if she pointed out dirty places. You agreed which is why we gave you money to do it. Unfortunately we paid you in full on the same day you did the cleaning. So you can become a moron later. You simply didn't want to keep your own promise to come back to finish cleaning. You could simply say you would come back to finish cleaning what we pointed out and no more trips if my realtor found out more later. However you simply refused to answer our phone and disappeared! If you continue to lie in public here after causing us so much stress and financial loss by hiring a second cleaner, I will further seek related third party for help. I don't believe such a horribly bad company could lie like this in public.

While I don't believe we will be using them moving forward I respect that they stand behind their work. Our former housekeeper moved so we recently had Purple Fig come in for an initial cleaning with the hopes of setting up a twice a month or bi-weekly service. We were quoted ~$280 per visit which was higher than our old housekeeper but seemed reasonable enough given they bring multiple people. They claimed the first clean was to bring things up to the "Purple Fig Standard" but when I got home after the cleaning I genuinely had trouble understanding what they did while in my home other than leave a candy cane on our kitchen counter. They don't do any laundry (even bed sheets/towels, not looking for a wash and fold service here) which is frustrating but I can somewhat understand given the time a laundry cycle takes. The most egregious offense was that they apparently also dont do any dishes . Again, i'm not asking for a post-Thanksgiving dinner cleanup here but we had a few pans and plates from last nights dinner in the sink and they didn't touch them. Overall, my wife and I struggled to understand what they really did to clean our home. When we decided not to continue with the bi-weekly service they then retroactively charged us $470 for the initial clean. For the price they charge not doing laundry or even tidying up the kitchen when there are a few dishes in the sink doesn't feel worth it. The best part of a cleaning service is coming home to a clean house that you can see and feel as soon as you walk through the door. With Purple Fig, I walked in to a house that felt like the cleaning service had to reschedule for another day

My Takeaway Apex delivers on availability and technical competence when you're in a crisis. However, I'd strongly recommend getting multiple quotes if time permits, as their emergency pricing appears significantly above market rate. The convenience of immediate service came at a steep premium that I wasn't prepared for. Would I use them again? Only in a true emergency where no other options exist, and I'd request detailed pricing breakdowns upfront. For future customers: Get clear, written estimates before work begins, and ask about all potential additional fees.

I own a couple of properties in town and regularly need to have carpets cleaned. I have used several companies in the Travis/Williamson county area. I've even purchased a few local Groupon deals but nobody has come close to the service and excellence that I have received every time with Harper Carpet Care. I've had Harper Carpet Care clean my entire house before and it has always been handled to complete satisfaction and with the utmost attention to detail. Sometimes I only need a room and a hallway cleaned and occasionally I need to add stairs but whatever I need they negotiate a fair and reasonable price and never disappoint me. They always move the furniture and place them on spacers to allow for complete drying of the carpet and are very concerned with protecting my furniture and other belongings during the entire process. I consider this company as my first option in carpet and furniture care in the Austin metroplex and make sure to call ahead to fit them into my timeframe. I chose Harper Carpet Care solely because they worked on Saturday, and Saturday was the only day that I could have it done. Luck was on my side! I could not have gotten better service from a nicer and more professional and caring cleaner than Vladimir Strugar. He arrived on time; he waited until the garbage dumper had loaded his truck and moved from my driveway. We were doing last-minute cleaning, but he gave us time to finish it. He explained the process and educated us about carpets. He took pride in his work. I had wanted him to spot-clean the living room floor, the walkway, but after doing it, he decided to do the entire room for no extra expense, because the walkway would be brighter than the rest of the room. Although he explained that we could walk on the cleaned floors, especially barefooted, which I did, he himself did not want to walk on his work and dealt with me from the tile floor of the laundry room. This is the second time I used Harper Carpet Care. From the moment I booked the appointment until paying the bill, the entire experience was great. Harley is a magician when it comes to cleaning carpets. Our carpets in our Steiner Ranch home had not been shampooed since we moved into the new house 10 years ago. After moving some of the furniture and rugs out of the way, we discovered a few real nasty stains (rust from the piano stool legs, red wine stains from parties that were way too fun, etc.). Harley took the time to carefully choose the right stain remover for each of the different type of stains, and then proceeded to thoroughly steam clean the entire carpet and stairs. The results: Beautiful! His prices were very fair and his social skills were excellent. It was like having a friend come over and clean your carpets. We also own three rental houses in Austin and plan to make Harper Carpet Care the "official" carpet cleaner for our properties! read more

I seldom write reviews because I have not been compelled in the past but I was impressed by the professional, punctual (e.g. we will be there between some crazy three-hour span, only to be late), and friendly service we received today. My home and original carpet is nine years old. Many spills, two kids, two dogs, and a puppy later - we still have the same carpet. After spending a fortune a year ago and being very disappointed, we called Harper's to give them a try right after the holidays. First, they were honest about what may and may not work before I spent more money. They were thorough but did not take too long. They made areas that seem too far gone far cleaner and better than it has in several years. I downloaded the Yelp app just so I could say what a fantastic job Vladimir did on our carpet today. He was very nice, professional, and did an outstanding job. Our stairs were in horrible shape and in addition to the high traffic areas, we had a number of stains, including red wine. To top it off, we had been on vacation for a few weeks and the dog did not handle our absence too well; she had several "accidents." Our carpet was a disaster. We were thinking we were going to need to buy new carpet soon. Not any more, our carpet looks great. I will recommend Harper Carpet Care and Vladimir to my family and friends. Okay, let's be honest - it's carpet and it needs to be cleaned...moving into a new house and previous owner didn't clean the carpets. Not sure what kind of things were in or went on that carpet (approx. 1300 sq.ft of it!); Harper Carpet Care and Jamie to the rescue!! Jamie called me in advance to let me know he could start the job early (thank you thank you thank you); he was polite, friendly and very efficient! Did I say he cleaned 1300 sq.ft??? He moved quickly without compromising the integrity of his work, and I am now happy to walk barefoot on those carpets - this IS Texas after all!! We found Harley over ten years ago. He was courteous and friendly and helped us out of a big jam. We had experienced a crisis of great magnitude right before a big birthday party we had planned. He not only was able to clean what we thought was a total loss and make look and smell as good as new but also was able to replace some old carpet that we had been planning to replace anyway for a price we were absolutely pleased with. And all before the big party! It was a happy birthday all around! Our carpet cleaning this morning by Harper Carpet Care was by far the very best floor cleaning experience we have ever had and will not use anyone else again! The entire experience was exceptional from calling for the appointment to finishing the service call. Heard about Harper through my Nextdoor Neighborhood website. Lots of positive comments and reviews so decided to give them a try. First, quick phone response. Second, availability was quick. Third, Jaime the technician was very knowledgeable about his process. Fourth, he completed an area the size of 3 rooms within 1-1/2 hrs which is pretty fast in my opinion. I needed carpet stretched and cleaned in my house, so called Harper and spoke to Harley's wife who provided some reasonable estimates for the square footage and then set me up with an appointment. Harley was punctual and courteous, taking the time to make recommendations in how he proposed to stretch the 13 yr old carpet in some difficult corners which was much appreciated. He then tallied a firm cost for both stretching and cleaning which was in line with the estimate his wife provided the week before. I called Harper Carpet to get my carpet's cleaned on a rental I am moving out of. Not knowing anything about it they gave me a rough estimate over the phone. Low and behold Vlad gets there and was almost spot on. They estimated almost perfect with just my rough guesses. Great job guys. Vlad was early getting to me and was a great efficient worker. The carpets in this place have never looked better. I only wish the rental agency would have used Vlad before we moved in !!! Way to go on a job well done. I had the pleasure of meeting Vladimir today. I had a microfiber couch and oversized chair that was strained during some home construction. I had my appointment set for 10am, he showed up right on time and went straight to work. He explained the process thoroughly and assured me he would do his very best to get them looking great. I called Harper carpet care after reading all the great reviews on here. I have numerous dogs and my house and carpet started smelling like dogs. Walter came out and did an amazing job cleaning and deodorizing my carpet. I also had him do my sand color grout thru out the kitchen, dining and entry way. My tile floor literally looks brand new. Harley at Harper Carpet Care has been cleaning my carpets since 2006. He takes pride in his work and the results show. I had puppy stains on my carpets throughout my house and he was able to remove them with no problem. He restored my carpets back to looking brand new. He also does carpet installation and patching. I had a whole in my carpet that he was able to patch and it blends in perfectly with the regular carpet. I could not recommend any other carpet cleaning company other than Harper Carpet Care. read more

This company was fantastic. From the first phone call to them (which they actually answered) to the appointment itself was spot on. Vladimir was my technician, he was early for the appointment, beyond professional, took time to answer my questions, dealt with my concerns and gave me some advice on how to better care for my carpet. Vlad just finished my carpet and recliner chair. I can't recommend him enough! He was on time, a very nice guy, and knowledgeable to be able to remove several stains from careless grandkids (and grandpa) and had the carpet looking almost like new before he finished. Pretty good for 25 year old carpet! Very professional and friendly, going out of his way to help out moving some furniture, and using extra care where needed. Jaime came out to clean our carpets on a Saturday morning when it was 20 degrees outside. Our outside faucet was frozen up, so he went out of his way to help us thaw it so he could hook up his hose, where other companies would have just had us reschedule. He did an awesome job on the carpet and removed set in pet stains. Harley and Jamie are both super friendly and explained everything thoroughly. We will definitely be using them again! read more

OUTSTANDING WORK!!!! Harper Carpet Car far exceeded my expectations!!! With 2 large, long haired indoor dogs, one can imagine how dirty carpets can become. These guys are awesome Jaime was amazing they are No BS straight forward. Very helpful and friendly. Took. Are of some pet stains we had and got rid of the odor, know tips to help stop pet stains. Very knowledgeable about carpets. Takes his time doesn't feel like your just another customer, listens to concerts with chemicals used since we have 2 small children. I had to cajole them and finally they came to address things. They worked for a while and then asked to have a look. It looked great , no visible seams, so we paid them. He asked us to not vacuum or walk on the seams or touch them for a while. When we did, the issue reappeared . It was like there must have been loose carpet fibers in the seams that got sucked up by the vacuum. Hmmm. Now we cannot get a hold of them. I guess they have absolutely no warranty of any kind on their work.

I messaged their office and they were back today with the owner and employee and decided to redo the entire couch and appt treat again. The owner said he got a lot more out using a stronger product and also applied stain guard. I can see a big difference in the fabric color just from the cleaning two days ago. It looks brand new!!
