This was a great place to try out Indian cuisine on Tuesday night, where they basically have Indian street food buffet style! It was great to try everything and we got a nice run down of what everything was and how to prepare it! Would definitely suggest it to anyone, even if they are new to Indian cuisine! read more

Not good quality on order takeout experience. more water in daal and paneer. Naan too thick to chew ..... read more

I went there for my daughter's birthday, and the food was really amazing. I never had Indian food this tasty and delicious.

We came here with a group of coworkers and ordered a bunch of dishes. The butter chicken was really good, like tandoori with the creamy butter sauce. We got two goat curries, a spicy and a mild, again super good. Chickpea veg dish highly recommended as was mango lassi and masala chai tea (off-menu). read more

Just found this place on Yelp while X-Mas shopping in Naperville and I am in love with it! It's the best indian food I have had around here. The flavors are bold and warm. Will definitely come back! read more

Great food.. Good portion size .. Tried quite a few dishes including the telangana goat, biryani, paner kadhai etc.. And all were well prepared and delicious. Will definitely visit again.. read more

At 11pm I don't expect the quality of the food I get delivered to be extraordinary but I was pleasantly surprised by the food we had delivered from Deccan spice. We ordered Chicken Dum Biryani, Chicken 555, and Onion Pakora and everything tasted wonderful. The food was hot so it tasted fresh. So thankful that they are open late! read more

Delicious spread at the buffet - good variety with something for everyone. The biriyani definitely lived up to the hype, and unlike several other Indian restaurants I've been to, the service was impeccable. Definitely recommend if you're looking for an Indian food fix! read more

I can eat biryani everyday for the rest of my life. That is how much I love biryani and to get a good biryani in US is not an easy feat. Deccan spice is one of the few places that did not disappoint my taste buds!! I loved all the food items I tasted there like goat curry, chicken pepper fry, cut mirchi, natu kodi vepudu but Biryani was the king of the whole deal. I ate one meal there and packed a Biryani do me to eat for dinner as well and then ordered to take more for back home. All I can say I am happy biryani lover after eating in Deccan spice. Do yourself a favour, order a Falooda after this amazing biryani an go home and ! You wake up with a smile! read more

Absolutely UNREAL experience ordering from here via grubhub tonight. After waiting an hour and a half for delivery, I called the restaurant, who advised me that they left our food outside our door and didn't try to ring the bell. I walked outside. No food. I called the restaurant back and said there was no food outside. The person I spoke with, Anthony, then began to get very loud and demanded that I was wrong, the food was outside our apartment building door, and the driver took a photo of it to prove me wrong. Despite me standing outside and no food in sight, he just rambled on and on about our (nonexistent) "happy holidays!" sign and that he's certain his driver will prove me wrong. I called grubhub livid about this situation. They called the restaurant, who advised they'd sent the driver back out to show me where the food is. It's freezing cold outside. I wait. Finally, a lovely woman comes walking up to me with her dog - to advise she found a bag of food at her door, checked the receipt, and brought it to me. I live at 519. She lives at 503. I called grubhub back to demand some sort of action for this $100 bag of ice cold food left errantly at the wrong house. They call the restaurant and Anthony advises them that they've already spoken to my husband (whose number they don't have and who never called them?) and he said everything was fine so I shouldn't get a refund. I advised that was a 100% complete fabrication. They called the restaurant again who finally conceded and agreed to refund me the total (almost $100!) of the cold, abandoned food. The way I was screamed at by the restaurant, their driver's willingness to leave food at the wrong address, and not to buzz or call when it arrived, and their subsequent lies to me and grubhub are all reprehensible. Don't order from here. I will never stray from Indian Harvest ever again. read more

Wow really great Indian food! Delicious samosa, butter chicken, curries. Need to specify "mild" otherwise super spicy! Nice little hidden spot in Gartner plaza. Only critique would be that almost all the meat dishes contain nuts. They use a cashew paste to help thicken the sauces. Those with nut allergies should be aware of this when they order. I had to amend my review of this place from 5 stars to 4 stars to 2 stars. While the food is very good, I am extremely disappointed with how they handled nut allergies. My son is allergic to nuts - but not severely... he can generally eat food when the labels say "contain traces" and we are not a nut-free home. When I ordered food from here I was told that cashew paste was used as a thickener in most dishes. I asked the manager what foods did not have nuts (as long as nuts were not an ingredient in the dish, he can eat it). I was told that the vegetable curry and the egg biryani that I ordered were nut-free and he could safely consume. Fast forward 2 hours and we are in the emergency room with my son having an anaphylactic reaction to the egg biryani. I further looked at the dish and there were whole cashews and other nuts mixed in with the rice (although it was very hard to tell bc the rice was all different colors and there were other veggies mixed in). Needless to say my son got very sick and we ended up at the hospital for several hours while he was treated. It was extremely disappointing how this restaurant handled this. I would have greatly preferred if they told me that he could not safely eat ANYTHING because they weren't sure about the contents rather than assure me that dishes did not have nuts when in fact they did. They might be better served to have a more detailed description of the food - including highlighting those that have nuts so that they can be avoided if necessary. As much as we enjoyed the food here, we will most likely not return. read more

Tasty, authentic food. Mastery of both South and North Indian cuisine. The sambaar and dosas were delicioso. We went for the lunch buffet and were blown away by how great it was. These guys aren't phoning it in - they care and ask if you need anything during your meal. I was definitely surprised by the low key atmosphere, but the place is new and word probably hasn't gotten out yet. As an Indian, I hate most "Indian" restaurants that cater to the lcd dishes and truly appreciate the few masters of their craft who put out amazing new dishes that are inspired and exciting. I don't eat out in the burbs very often, but will def be going back to this place. read more

I was there on Mother's Day. They called to confirm the reservation I placed online, which was probably the only positive experience of this place. Most of my family ordered dosa. Instead of telling us right away that they 86 the item, the waiter came back ten minutes later. When the food was ready, the waiter didn't know what they were serving and sometimes we got another table's food. May come back to give it a fair chance, since the reviews here seem to be a hit or miss. read more

Atmosphere is very nice! Service was excellent Food was incredibly flavorful with nice portions and nice presentations. The reason I am not giving a 5 star is because Deccan tacks on a 15% service fee to the bill, which we were told is separate from the tip. It will make me think twice about re-visiting. read more

I went to this restaurant for Saturday lunch buffet. Horrible experience. No quality of food and taste . But expensive . Not sure how long they can survive . I DO NOT AGAIN. zero star rating . read more

My wife and I went for dinner to this Retaurant and mostly loved our experience. Food is good but please ask them to make it mild. If not you are dead. Food is very hot especially the Chilli chicken. Nice size servings and very friendly service. Apollo fish and chicken biryani are good. I would like to go back and try lunch buffet next time to sample other menu items. Again food here is hot for Indian people, non-Indians make sure you go mild. Your stomach will thank me later. read more

Great Place, Awesome Food, Excellent Customer Service First time dine-in experience. Great 'Hyderabadi' twist on the popular Indian dishes. Will definitely be coming back. Delicious Indian food! Great variety and very friendly service. We are very happy we found this place and plan on returning!

Went to the restaurant on a Friday afternoon. Food was horrible. Not much items, no taste. Completely bland. The restaurant people should try to taste the food first before putting a price tag and asking customers to try it. The card machine does not works. Will never ever recommend anyone to come over here. Stay clear from this place. Better stay hungry than eat at this pathetic little excuse for a restaurant. If I could give anything less than 1 Star I would surely have given the same. read more

Excellent Indian food and very nice service. I eent with some of my american friends and they loved it too. The spice level ie varied according to our pallette. Very nice authentic indian food place. read more

So far this is my favorite indian in the western suburbs for lunch buffet. I've tried five others. The ingredients and spices are of the highest quality- very subtle and complex flavors. Always a good saag paneer, mali kofta, pakora, and more. Free chai tea provided but you might bring your own mug as they only have styrofoam cups. Attentive service, very clean inside including restroom. A good mix of hot spicey and not so spicey. It's about 13 for the lunch buffet but it's worth every penny. Really the quality is the highest. Will return! read more

Had a very good meal here. They have a very good menu of meat and veggies dishes. Their breads are also very good. We had a variety of appetizers (soup, samosas, breads) and various veggie and meat dishes. All were very good and everyone in our party was happy with our meal. read more

So we happened upon Deccan Spice tonight because they were on Grubhub. Didn't really know what we were doing as far as Indian food but hey, it's something different than the same lame late night delivery choices. Let's do it! Ordered fairly randomly except for Samosas. We knew what those were. We got Tandoori Chicken, Schezwan Fried Rice w Chicken, Onion Pakora, and Samosas. The Onion Pakora is basically an Indian version of an onion ring, but with more thought put into it. They were good but not outstanding. Everything else was amazing! The rice is highly recommended. A lot of effort put into presentation too. Fresh vegetable garnish with everything. Tandoori Chicken was very good. We'll definitely order again. read more

Food was cold on the buffet. Taste was ok . Not very spicy!! Just like any other buffet. Was clean inside. Doubt if this the fist buffet that will pop in my mind to go for Desi food. Didn't order from the menu so I can't say that the food won't be warm from there. But buffet was luke warm. It just didn't taste fresh!! read more

The best Indian buffet in Naperville! It's a generous buffet with more than a few dishes you don't see at most Indian buffets, a good variety of spicy, fresh and crispy naan and a Bell's Oberon to wash it down. read more
