My daughter and I went for dinner last evening and had a wonderful meal! We started with samosa and Goni 65 and continued to the tandoor player and Chicken Tikka masala. We also enjoyed a mango Lasse. Everything was cooked extremely well and the flavors were amazing. My daughter commented on the complexity of the spice and the comfortable heat added by a medium spice level. We also had garlic and chili naan. read more

I ordered chicken biryani and butter chicken. i would not recommand this restaurant, both dishes were below ave, it was hard to find chicken in boiled rice so called biryani and butter chicken was very watery. read more

Food was just ok. Portions were small and carry out time was 30 minutes longer than expected. Ordered online at 6 pm and got a pickup time of 6:45 pm. My order was handed to me at 7:15, so I stood waiting for 30 minutes. When I got there several people were also waiting for carry out and it seemed like they had been waiting for some time as staff kept apologizing for the delay. There were only three tables of diners eating in, so I'm guessing kitchen was understaffed. Servers seemed stressed. They need to give realistic carry out times so customers are less frustrated. read more

I was in the area for a doctor's appointment so decided to pick up food to go. Ordered the chicken seekh kabab, jhinga prawns, dum ka murg and kadai ghosht. All the dishes were phenomenal. The curries were quite oily but tasted so good that I didn't feel too bad about it. Each entree had a unique taste which I appreciated and the food had Just the right amount of spice. Would definitely go back. read more

Good food, their biryanis and chicken tikka/tandoori have been top notch every time I have had them over the years, BOGO on Wednesday as well but they need to learn how to do business in these covid times. They would be extremely popular if they signed up for Dashpass on Doordash, participated in Grubhub+ and uber eats pass. Owner if you are reading this, You guys need to sign up for all the food delivery services and let them deliver the food for you. I know people who would order regularly from this place if they were a dash pass restaurant via door dash. It's 2021, running a restaurant like it's 2010 is not how you increase your business. read more

My wife and I were in town visiting a friend and went here on his recommendation. The samosas were some of the best We've ever had. We ordered Rogan Josh style with goat and deccan special biriyani. We asked for medium spice. Both dishes were excellent and the spice level was exactly what we wanted: not too much heat but enough to taste it. The owner told us that they have been in business for 8 years and we can see why. We highly recommend! read more

They said on their website to call if you have allergies. I called and let them know I have a nut allergy and wanted to make sure everything doesn't have nuts. They must've not cared and cooked everything in the same pans because I had a severe allergic reaction to the butter chicken. Had to throw $60 of food away. read more

I was told by Indian friends that this is THE place to try first and they were absolutely right. We haven't been able to stop ourselves from returning weekly since. The place smells amazing, the food is amazing, the Samosas are addicting, and the flavors are fantastic. I regret the years I have lived near this restaurant without these flavors in my daily life. read more

Really pricey but tasty as heck. We got a bunch of food for my birthday, over 8 dishes. While some of them tasted exactly the same non of them were bad. If anything just be mindful of what you're ordering so you aren't getting items with the same flavor profiles. There were some real stands outs chicken vindaloo, butter chicken, shrimp biryani, and a couple more I can't remember. Will order again. read more

This is a lovely little restaurant located in an area with a Trader Joe's and other shops, so there's ample parking. The paintings in the dining room are beautiful. There's a weekend buffet for $13.99. Our lamb and corresponding curries were rich and flavorful. The colors were deep, and the meat was tender. There was enough for leftovers. The food was made very well. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. The service was good. Our waiter wasn't very talkative, but he was nice. read more

I had been looking up this place for sometime.. The food the people the ambience.. so homely.. yummy food. We ordered the veg manchurian, gobi 65 and paneer kadai..finger-licking good. The portion size was fantastic to. Waiting to come back for more read more

One of the best biryanis ever tasted. There is Some thing that makes the naans/kulcha's real tasty. I think you should definitely try that May be there are not too many people to help around for ordering and stuff but its really worth for the wait read more

I don't usually give restaurants a lower rating but sometimes you just have to do it. I was craving some good Biryani but wasn't ready to drive all the way out or try the places I have already been to. I read the reviews and gave them a shot. Deccan had a promotional coupon on Yelp and I took the coupon to them after I ordered for pick up. I get there and they tell me the coupon has expired, well okay nevermind. I get home, unpack the Biryani and it looked good but the smell of improperly washed chicken at the first bite killed my appetite. Maybe I will give them a try again after the owner reads my review and gives a response. read more

Every time we come here, I say this is the best food I've ever eaten. The servers are very helpful, food is delicious, would definitely come here again. read more

What an awesome place. They have fresh food and grocery store food. They have sweet and savory. This place supplies food 2 cuisine of India down the road a little bit. Which has been my favorite Indian restaurant for about 20 years or more. The service here can be a little slow but the food is really good. Their butter chicken. Tikka masala. Eggplant dishes. Samosa. Are all fabulous. read more

Very pricey considering the quality of the food. If you are a family of 2-3, you can go an Indian store and buy spices and make the food at home for a quarter of the price you pay here. They need to reduce the prices and improve the quality of the food or they may find themselves in a situation where they have to shut down the business. read more

Food is good but when we call them 8 pm they said kitchen will be closed at 10 okay that's fine, but when we went there at 9 they said it's the last order so whatever you want now order, okay that's fine as well, but then lot of customers came after us at 10 and they still take the order for them so that's not fair. This happen 3 times with us so finally I am writing this. read more

This is the #1 Indian restaurant in Naperville for a reason - the restaurant is clean, the staff is attentive and friendly, and the food is DELICIOUS! Large portions for the price, you'll definitely have leftovers. We ordered the Shrimp Biryani mild, but it was a little spicy so keep that in mind. We also ordered the Chicken Curry and it was perfect! The garlic naan is also to die for! The appetizer Samosas are massive and SO amazing, you definitely only need one per person. We'll be back as soon as possible! read more

The food taste awesome. Ordered couple of times and both the times food was great. Little pricey

I didn't like their vegetarian curry sauce ... but their tandoori platter, lamb was good to try

This has to be in top 2 indian restaurant in chicagoland. Perfect crisp dosa, hot and fresh samosa chaat and one of the best chicken biryani. read more

Food: This is probably the best restaurant in Naperville, in fact I would say in entire Chicago land, where the best Biriyani is served. For the last decade, I have tried biriyani at number of places and I have never seen a place which serves good biriyani consistently, don't miss biriyani on Wednesday's buy 1 get 1 free. People: Most importantly people who work there are really good, I don't exactly remember the name of the owner but he is a very nice person, last but not least, bole to Anthony bhai from Amchi mumbai is the real dude, you need anything just ask him, he does not ever disappoint you, unless your expectations are really impractical . I have recommended and took many friends to that place and honestly everybody enjoyed it and they always go there. Not just biriyani, but I liked the other stuff as well, including Chai, I feel Chai is also very good there! Few tips: 1. on Wednesdays, make sure to call and check if Biriyani is left especially if you are planning to go after 8, best thing is to call and reserve before 6.30. 2. Spice level is by default high, I would recommend you to go for medium or mild if you can't take spicy and make sure to let them know. read more

It was good but I would t say the best. They had a big party come in and it took us 25min to get dessert and our check.

This is probably my favorite Indian restaurant in the western burbs of Chicago. The ambience of the restaurant is not like your typical Indian restaurant and you won't smell like curry when you get out of the restaurant . They have one of the best Biryanis and on top of it very consistent. We have used them for catering twice for our parties, if you know anything about Indian parties these are large events with many people. Deccan Spice not only executed the stations per our discussions but also provided great tasty food, superb service. We have many guests still comment about the food that we had in the events. Bottom line I highly recommend this place. If you have not been there just go once and I would bet you will keep going. read more

Having lived in Hyderabad for a good portion of my life I can tell you that this is as close as it gets to Authentic Indian food. HIGHLY recommend their paneer some of the best I've had in the states! You will not regret coming here read more

This is probably my favorite biryani and goat place in Chicago area, or in that matter any Indian Resturant that I have tried in the usa. Good food , nice service read more

Amazing flavor. The chutney was so fresh. Chili Gobi was like a great vegan buffalo wing. (Cauliflower) Spicy soup, Rasam, it will knock out ANY sinus cold. Good wine selection. And.... the wait staff, manager, and bartender were extremely attentive. Knowledgeable about the menu including any spices in the dish and herbs. Atmosphere was chill. Nice tables and great lighting. Perfect for a date or family dinner. Plenty of parking too. The mango lasse looked amazing although I will order that next time. I will certainly be back. read more

Bad food, quality is pathetic, and it is not authentic. It seems food is very old and they just heat and serve.

I placed an order over the phone and my food was ready within 10 minutes. I ordered the butter chicken which was so delicious. Due to my diet I can't eat certain herbs and they were happy to remake my order to accommodate me. read more

We've been here three times now. On this 3rd visit, we finally were able to come on the weekend and try the buffet. Oh my goodness - everything was delicious. SO much food. The buffet was such a great way to try so many different things. There were as many (if not more) vegetarian options than meat options. This is also the best butter chicken I have ever had. The service is stellar - and not just on the visits where we've ordered off the menu. Even on this buffet visit everyone was so attentive. The owner has been there each time we have visited and he's so kind, taking the time to explain what the different dishes are and what they're made of. We're still full from lunch but are already talking about when we can go again. Get: Butter chicken (one of the best foods I've ever had) Palak Paneer Chicken kebab All the naan Briyani Chana Masala (super spicy!) Go for: The weekend buffet read more

such a great place to go if you want authentic Indian food! I've gone to many places and this restaurant really hit the spot. Everythiny we ordered was beyond satisfying, at one point I had to stop myself from eating, i was so full, but I could have kept going. Family friendly, also a plus! read more

We had a great lunch here this week. We went looking for the a lunch buffet on a Tuesday but no buffet. We ordered from the menu and we're very happy with the food. We spoke with them about our eldest food allergies to tree nuts, dairy, and egss. Turns out they have safe dishes here for our child. Just make sure to speak with the server and they are more than happy to assist in finding something that may be safe. read more

Looks better in the pictures. Not the cleanest place ive ever eaten. Hard to recommend

We ordered a goat dish and butter paneer to go. Deccan Spice put their own little twist on our dishes. The food was yummy but it was not what we pictured , nonetheless we were satisfied. One of the best parts of visiting the restaurant was the service. The bartender was amazing. We got free mango lassi, felt comfortable and enjoyed our environment as we waited on our food. The mango lassi was deliciously. Location I've been shopping at Trader Joe's at this location for sometime and never noticed this restaurant. It's easy to miss. read more

AMAZING VEGETARIAN FOOD!! This was my first time eating food from Deccan Spice (ordered delivery) and we are hooked! Hands down, this is the best Indian food I've ever had. So many vegetarian options and the seasonings were on point. Every dish can be spiced to your heat preference, and each has a distinct flavor. We ordered the Gobi Manchurian, Garlic Naan, Tomato Soup, Veg Saag, Chenna Masala, and Dal Fry. The plain white rice was even delicious by itself. I cannot say enough good things about Deccan Spice. I can't wait to eat at the restaurant next time. It is close to my house, but I would easily travel over an hour to get there if I had to. I will go there again and again and again and tell all of my friends to try it. Thank you for a fabulous anniversary dinner! read more

We have been past this restaurant a hundred times and thought it was a spice shop! We stopped in tonight and it was delicious. Had the tandoor chicken, chicken pepper fry appetizer (which was big enough to be an entree) and chicken tikka masala with some naan and rice. Everything was delicious, the prices were reasonable and the service was great. We will be back. read more

Everytime me and my girlfriend have tried to come to this "bakery" that's "open till 1 am" we've been turned away because their not even open. Dickin Spice sucks, please no one waste your time making the drive out here, especially nowadays with all these gas $$$. Completely ruined chikken Tandoorii for us. read more

LOVE the food here!! It is so flavorful and good. To make it even better the staff is AMAZING! I was on my vegan journey and decided to stop into Deccan Spice for lunch. There were lots of items that contained cream and broth but the waiter made a dish just for me that did not contain any animal products and it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten! I highly recommend this restaurant. PS. I can't recall the name of the dish but I know it is saved in my records for future purchases. read more

It's very simple, this is the best Indian restaurant in the entire area. Having lived here for 20 years and tried many different places, this is by far the best. Authentic, delicious food, friendly, relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant, and easy ordering and pick up with the app. Everything we've tried is amazing, but the chili mushrooms and chili cauliflower are out of this world. I've eaten in Indian restaurants in many countries, many cities and this is up there with the best. read more

Spice is only in the name and NO spice at all in food. We had their Tuesday night tiffin buffet. Not a single dish had any flavor... though they made effort to get you few fresh dishes like dosa and vada, chutneys are lousy and probably bottled pickles from grocery stores would have been better. read more
