Debbie's is amazing! You have to call ahead of time as they usually book up pretty quickly, but it's totally worth it. We took our family dog here for 10+ years (a toy poodle, traditional poodle cut) and she always looked great! They would even paint her toe nails and put cute bows in her ears. Now I take my miniature schnauzer here and they give him a cute little bandanna. I live in the bay area now, but I wait until I come into town to see family to take my dog here before going anywhere else. I'm very picky about his hair cut, but it's the best out of any place I've tried. (We also give him a traditional schnauzer cut).Not to mention their prices are SO reasonable. And everyone that works here is so sweet- they are truly all dog lovers. read more

I do not know why or how the above commentary happened. Our two high maintenance dogs have a standing appointment every Friday with this family owned and operated business. They are like family to us and they treat our pets the same too. Our furry friends always receive the best service and quickly as well. They try not to leave our animals in crates for too long and schedule appointments and walk ins accordingly. Of course the other person's dog's nails were not clipped you need to request that because it is an extra $3 or $5 charge, right along with teeth brushing. I have and will recommend to everyone I know to take their pets to Debbies Pet Grooming in Downtown Ripon! Oh and one more thing, if you don't like the way they are groomed, or would like some more trimming they are happy to do any alterations! I've been bringing my cute dog GiGi there for seven years. She just loves Rochelle who does her hair. My dog is a Shih Tzu breed she wears her hair longer than most in a top God or pigtails. The prices are good and the service is friendly and professional I would recommend it highly. read more

I love Debbies. We love everyone there but Rochelle is the best. She has done our big dogs and now are small ones. I was so scared to get my yorkie cut because I wanted to keep her looking like a little bear and I thought they would mess it up. They were amazing. And our dogs always smell so good. read more

I called Debbies pet grooming to make an appointment for my boyfriends service dog and the worker cut me off and said " oh a pitbull... We dont take that breed here." I prooceeded to ask why and she said ALL the pitbulls they groomed were all aggressive therefore they dont accept those dogs. To me its like owning a store and saying a certain ethnicity can't come in your store and shop because a few of them have stolen. It's beyond ignorant and blows my mind that this is something we are always going to have to deal with. I would give them my respect if they would have said," we have had some bad experiences with the breed but go ahead and bring her in and if she does fine we will continue , if not then sorry." But no, couldn't make an appointment and on top of that the worker said," its not bad business if we are still here." So she did not care and seemed to be proud that they reject pits. Sad. Kristen is TERRIBLE as a receptionist. Sad you have this person on the front line representing this business and dealing with the public. She is the reason I'm not taking my dogs back there. I told her that and she said, "It's probably best." Not "why." I want Debbie to know what kind of customer service is doled out there. I've been taking my dogs there since 07. I have been taking my precious babies to Debbie's for 20 years. I go every 2 weeks without fail. I have seen firsthand, the professional and personal care they take with each animal. The animals are given affection and "breaks" as they are on the grooming tables. The staff does their best to make sure each animal has a positive experience. In looking at the negative reviews, I have to chuckle. The only time I have seen the shop have to "shave off" a dog's hair, is when the owner has brought the dog in with matted hair which is painful for the dog to have brushed out. It's the owners fault as they have let their pet's coat neglected. The shop won't shave a coat like that unless a customer requests it. As for the other comment about pit bulls? Insurance companies won't insure some homes either if you have that breed. Privately owned companies are allowed to set rules they feel protect their employees. Not everyone is going to like that. I appreciate everything Debbie's has done during the last 20 years to take care of my animals and will gladly be bringing my animals here for as many years as they choose to remain open! read more

Great place to bring your fur babies to get groomed. Professional, Courteous staff that goes out of their way to make your pet feel comfortable during their grooming experience. Wish there were more stars to give for this establishment! This family owned business came recommended to me by two people. When I called, they promptly called me back. I took in my three Yorkies. It had been a long time since they had a haircut, so they had some matting. We were greeted with open arms by the staff. My dogs went right with these girls. They asked how I wanted the cut done. All three were finished in 3 hours. I've never had that happen before! All three Yorkies were groomed exactly like I requested. The price was very reasonable. I couldn't be happier.
