This was my second experience with DC Lash Bar. Last year, after my first appointment for an eyelash perm, my eyelashes stayed wonderfully curled for about 5 weeks. This most recent experience, just last week, I paid almost $100 for my eyelashes to remain curled for hardly a week, even though the person curling my eyelashes said they should remain curled for 4-6 weeks. Sadly, now they're already back to being as straight as they were before my appointment. While the staff were nice and I appreciated their effort, I really can't see myself spending so much money on something that again might only last a few days. read more

I have gotten lash extensions in other studios and the attention and service at DC Lash Bar are top notch! Josie listens to what you want and works to create that look. When I first came in I had extensions remaining from another salon. Josie was able to see what was going on and did a fantastic fill that evened out and looked better than the original. She could tell that the lashes I had been wearing (for a year) were too heavy for my natural lashes. She really knows her stuff! Very nice experience with Shauntice, she is nice and professional. I requested the classic set, and referenced the CLASSIC look from the website. However, my final look was more of a natural look for the classic price. Not sure how or why this happened. I feel I need mascara on my lashes to achieve the look I requested, but I was advised against that. Also, others cannot tell I have lashes done, unless I look to the side. So the length is fine, but this looks nothing like the classic set advertised on the website. I am hoping this can be resolved with my next appointment. read more

I came in for my first Eyelash Tint and Perm and I LOVE them. They look so natural like I've had curled/lifted eyelashes all a long. My technician was so friendly and we chatted the entire time. The process took 30-45 minutes which was great and they were so nice to move things around when I was late for my appointment. The studio is very chic and clean. I definitely want to come back for more services. My technician even suggested a lash boosting serum which I can't wait to try. NEVER COMING BACK!! after my last lift (which I couldn't see a difference before and after doing it and it only lasted one week) I called in to get a refund. I was only promised a store credit, one that I don't want to use. In my search for a better place, I found a lash bar that can provide a way BETTER service for $200 (it lasts 3 months!!!!!!!) P.S I got my eyebrows done too, and they messed it up. I asked twice if she understood what I wanted and the lady was confident that she could do my eyebrows how I wanted. When I saw my eyebrows, I almost died. I had to get them fixed (whatever was left of them) in some other place. I do not recommend this place. read more

Stop your search! If you want the best lash extensions in the DMV, Mai is who you need to see. Mai is the reason why I'm literally obsessed with DC Lash Bar and keep coming back for her amazing lashes. She was once unavailable due to a last minute emergency, so I had another technician, but no one makes my lashes pop and last as long as Mai; lesson learned. Even in that situation, the salon was so understanding and did everything to ensure that I was comfortable and got me a last minute touch up with Mai. I get the Classic style, and Mai always asks me how I liked the last set, how they lasted, and if I want to change anything. Mai is so patient, sweet, and really goes the extra mile to ensure her clients are happy when they walk out the door. She's truly talented and cares about the quality of her work. Though these are on the pricey side of lashes offered in the area, but it's definitely worth it. DC Lash Bar and Mai are hands down the bees knees. Came in for a lash perm and immediately saw a difference! I did not get the tint or add any lash extensions, but my lashes looked like I was wearing falsies! I no longer have to curl my lashes before applying a light layer of mascara, and feel confident enough to go mascara free! The service was as good as it gets, with staff making me feel comfortable, welcomed, and at ease. It's an unusual sensation having someone work on your lashes, but the team listened to me and made every effort to make me feel relaxed and taken care of. So i moved to DC but have had lashes for years in previous cities I have lived (Paris, NYC, Atlanta) and while my NYC lash place is the best, DC lash bar is definitely second and where my lash tech in NYC suggested I go (after having her check out wink, elle and one other one). While I can say they do not last as long as my previous tech in NYC and are a bit more expensive they do a nice job and I think are the best local option for sure. I use to do a classic fill in nyc but here I do the Hybrid so if you are use to a fuller look definitely opt for that! read more

Got a great level 2 spray tan from Stephanie - love the bronze color, the even application and that the formula didn't make my skin feel dry. The fact that the spray apparatus is heated is definitely a plus in the winter months especially. Didn't feel sticky afterwards either. read more

Everyone here is super sweet. This was my first time getting extensions and a tan and I had a great experience. I kind of freaked out after the extensions since I had a bit of a reaction to the adhesive. I called the salon and freaked out on them but they were super sweet and alleviated my worries. All in all, very good experience. All the people I worked with were sweet and took time explaining everything to me as this was my first time. I also got a gilt voucher and I know some places kind of give you meh service as a result, but this place did not! I'm looking forward to my next appointment! Not my mention my eyelashes are awesome!
