My sister and I stop by here for donuts and coffee before heading down the street to get pedicures. The shop is better than it used to be. They have remodeled the store and usually have a variety of donuts. Now, I have been there when they've run out, which is weird. They also employ kids who do not have a lot of training in customer service, and it shows. A little more training in greeting customers would go a long way. Donuts are always good. I usually get milk with mine. They have Shatto milk, but do not accept the glass for recycling. I feel bad about tossing it, so I usually drop it off at the recycling dumpster at the liquor store on Parallel. Bonus that they have a drive-thru. read more

Little hidden gem if you live in Basehor/West KCK area. They offer plenty of donut options and can even order ahead, which is super convenient when you're busy or have kiddos. Service is always friendly and the donuts hit that craving spot. Plus, I'm a coffee drinker and they offer plenty of great options there, too. Small groups have places to sit, but otherwise, would advise getting your order to go. read more

I'm actually surprised by all the lower reviews. Though I did notice not a ton are too recent. We recently moved to the area and this has become a family staple! On weekends we come around 9:30am and there's usually a decent collection though definitely out of some things. On weekdays we come around 11 and it's usually full. The workers have never been anything but super kind to me and my daughter (and even brought us a pup cup outside). We moved from a more expensive state so to me the price seemed more than fair because donuts were delicious but it's possible it's on the high side. Again, I've enjoyed every donut I've tried so far and coffee drinks. I have recommended this place to family who stop by! read more

Abbey smelt like beef, so I was compelled to get a beef donut. Would come again. Abbeys scent was off-putting which takes away one star.

I am visiting family from out of town and thought it would be nice to grab some donuts. We were not greeted when we walked in and we were the only ones there. I have always been a fan of daylight donuts sine I was a teen. But in recent years, many of them are scarce or shut down, so I was pleased when I saw a new daylight donuts had come to basehor. First of all the location of this place is in a good spot, but due to the entrance facing away from the major roadway, it is very easy to miss it. The decor is very nice and cozy. Has a kind of nerdy college coffee house feel to it. The donuts are spot on, but I feel they could put more varieties of donuts and pastries to buy instead of the main moneymakers. The workers are cordial, but could be just a bit more friendly. The prices have gotten more steep..when a plain glazed donut cost almost $3 by itself...it better be worth every bite. They sell shatto milk in cotton candy, banana, strawberry and chocolate, but why buy a small milk bottle from daylight for $5, when I can get a gallon of the same for less than that at a grocery store? Despite The little frustrations, I still love daylight because they make great donuts. I just hope the frustrations are not what led to the closures of so many of their other stores. It's the grand opening for the ice cream and cookies so I want to be fair. We went on a Tuesday and the girl behind the counter apologized about the limited selection she said their shipments arrive Wednesday. Even with limited options to choose from there was a variety of vanillas, chocolates, and sherbet. The junior scoop is the perfect amount for a small to average appetite. You can pick from a Walgreens come, sugar cone or basic cake cone or cup. The cookies were also limited so we didn't get to try them. I take it a good sign they are sold out because they had a busy weekend. In this time social distancing they have 2 picnic tables outside and the flow is in one side to order and out the door. There is a drive though window for easy pick up. Now we went in the evening for ice cream so no donuts to grab for a morning breakfast. They also have the donuts shipped in so if you are looking for hot out of the frier or oven bummer on this place. I will be frequenting this shop for a sweet summer treat so I hope to be giving this a 5 some day but for grand opening they did well. read more

My husband and I went there today because we wanted to see what kind of coffee they have. It says Daylight , coffee and donuts on their sign. It does not look like a normal Daylight Donuts so we were wondering if what even associated with them, but who would name their donut shop Daylight if they weren't! We were pleasantly surprised when we discovered they served Roasterie coffee and as a frappe! We have never been to a Daylight donuts with such a variety of coffee. We got vanilla frappes with mint and it was great. The donuts were good too, they were not dry. We went there around 11:30. It's very nice and clean inside and the staff was very nice. Will definitely be back and also glad that there is a close option for good coffee by our house! read more

It was better when it first opened. Not sure what changed in such a short time but they're dry now. I got done about 9:40 this morning and they tasted love me they were from yesterday. The ends of my Long John were greasy and hard. I took a picture. And donuts should be fluffy not flat! Guess I'll stick to Caseys donuts. read more

I come here with my daughter often (and by often, I mean at least once a week). Unfortunately, in frequent visits, by 10:00am there is no donut selection left, education on the coffee machine is limited (unable to make me a cappuccino) and typically only one person working making it take 20+ minutes just to get seen. We continue to come in hopes it will get back to its previous "glory" and support local business. On the upside the staff is friendly and the environment is welcoming! Every time I go to Daylight Donuts it's awful. I've ordered many different types of drinks TRYING to find a good tasting drink. I've found absolutely NONE. I ordered a ice mocha and it was watery, bland, warm, and had 3 ice cubes!! When asking for a donut they're always out. No matter the time of day. They never have the donuts I've asked for!! Nice, modern Daylight shop! The atmosphere is pleasant with a big open seating area. The owner is friendly and accommodating. I'm really happy to see all of the coffee options, made with Roasterie coffee, my favorite. I was super surprised and excited to find a place around these parts that makes a frappe, and it was good! I normally have to drive around 20-30 minutes to find a place that has frappe/blended coffee drinks. Now I only have to go 10 minutes down the road! I only wish they had more warm savory eats like breakfast burritos or sandwiches. They have a sausage roll, but I'm not much into wieners. It's alright for what it is, if that's what your into. As far as the donuts, they are daylight donuts, no surprise there. As usual, they are pretty darn good. read more

First off let me say I really like the people and the donuts here. With that being said they need to hire more people. One person running the show isn't cutting it. Just FYI expect to wait a long time just to get a donut or coffee if there is a line, and there is always a line in the morning. read more
