Waiting on an appointment so I decided to run into Lenexa Marketplace and get a small latte. I ordered a 12 ounce hot oat milk latte with sugar free caramel. The service was excellent, very friendly and helpful. There is a variety of seating in the marketplace to choose from and midday on Thursday it was not busy at all. The latte was pretty good but not as hot as most lattes that I get. They have a variety of baked goods, beverages and small rice flour donuts that are gluten friendly., The atmosphere was casual and chill in the area at this time.

Rosy Days-- raspberry and rose flavor-- fun and delicious!! Love a quick spot in Lenexa Public Market for coffee! Previous review I made highlighted how delicious the ube mochi donut is-- still highly recommend :)

I stopped in the Lenexa Public House to gran lunch and grabbed a coffee while I was here. It's a great option to be able to grab a donut and a coffee if you are not feeling a full meal. Staff was friendly and quick to help me. My drink came out quickly and had good flavor.

Excited to try this coffee shop at Lenexa Public Market. It's located right in the middle of their food court. This was the perfect place to pick up drinks and walk around/study the library/catch up at the food court. Happy Hour is Monday-Thursday after 2pm! We got the Thai Tea Latte and Honey Lavender Latte. Mochi donuts on the weekends!

Coffee with a side of donuts Serving up local fresh homemade donuts with delish icing, soft texture and cake mix that melts in your mouth. Paired with coffee that includes the newly launched seasonal lattes for spring. Flavors include: - Blueberry Cobbler - Cookie Butter - Sakura - Butterfly My personal favorite is the Butterfly Latte with its amazing aroma and strawberry flavor. I love the Lenexa Market location and the patio area with fireplaces making it the perfect spot to start your day. Service was super friendly and fast. Will be back!

They open at 7-the donuts hadn't arrived yet, but that's okay because I enjoyed their Fortune Cookie latte (hot) while I was waiting. It's delicious! Then I ordered a million donuts--okay, not a million--but I went back for their homage to the KC Chiefs chocolate donut, sooooo.... Service was great, and since I was there soooo early, it was nearly empty and most definitely quiet. They're one of the businesses that are celebrating the Lunar New Year at the Lenexa Public Market's special celebration from 10-1, hence the Fortune Cookie latte, and I purchased their Rose Milk Tea Mochi and Lychee Mochi donuts as well as a pineapple fritter and, as mentioned, the KC Chiefs chocolate donut. Nice atmosphere here.

Mr. D's coffee shop is a really cute coffee stand at the Lenexa Public Market. There are multiple seating locations both outside and inside. However since the space shares a building with other food vendors, the place can get loud. The coffee was delicious and they have a lot of flavors and menu items to choose from! I will definitely come again if I'm in the area.

Honey Dip Donut Latte and a Maple Long John Donut

We ended up at the Lenexa Public Market on a Sunday morning around 9:30 am. I was a bit surprised that it was more busy, but wasn't going to complain about the short wait for coffee and donuts. I ordered my typical maple bar and opted to try the honey dip donut latte. I was handed a donut immediately and only had to wait a couple minutes for the coffee. The donut was perfection. It was soft and pillowy and covered end to end with maple glaze. The coffee was good. When reviewing coffee I usually comment that I love when it's not as sugary sweet as some of the big name coffee shops, but for this either the espresso was a little too bitter or it was just a bit short on the sweetness. All in all, a good way to start the day.

Quick and convenient donut shop in the heart of the Public Market. The friendly staff eagerly take your order and answer questions. Love the display case of pastries so you can visually make a selection. Drip coffee has excellent flavor and piping hot. Enjoyed my personal donut favorite, the old fashioned Buttermilk.

    Ube Mochi Donut

I was pretty stoked to find out that KC had its own mochi donut place. I'm Taiwanese, and I've had mochi donuts before from Mister Donut (a popular chain in Taiwan and Japan). The Ube Mochi Donut I had today ($2.50 each) at Mr. D's was great! The texture was PERFECT. I feel like the ube flavor could have been stronger, but that tends to be a common issue with ube-flavored foods. I am VERY interested in trying their other mochi donuts and yeast-raised donuts. PLEASE NOTE: Mochi Donuts are currently ONLY AVAILABLE SATURDAYS at Mr. D's Donuts, Mr. D's Coffee (in Lenexa Public Market), Cafe Cà Phê, Oddly Correct, and the Overland Park Farmers Market. Apparently they sell out very quickly, so be sure to get to these locations early. If you're a late bird like me though, you can order donuts 1 week in advance by calling or texting 913-631-1282. Parking was super easy with the parking garage near the library.

The location is great and the parking was pretty easy. The server punched my order in wrong, so I got the wrong size (not a big deal, I ordered a 20oz and got a 16oz), they didn't overcharge. The drink was weak and the flavors weren't great. For how long they took making it, I was disappointed. The donuts also hadn't arrived before we left, so all in all it was a lackluster visit.

I love the Lenexa Public Market area as it's a great place to work remotely or catch up with friends, and Mr. D's is a staple in the space! I love being able to support a small, local business whenever possible. I've always had great service from the baristas even when it's very busy, and my drinks have always been great! My recent favorite is the honeycomb latte... it has the perfect amount of sweetness without being overpowering. I'll definitely be returning to try more of the menu!

I ordered and had my drink within a minute, and my food came out shortly after. I ordered the Vanilla Sky specialty latte and the Sunrise sandwich. The latte was pretty mediocre, not bad but not great either. The coffee itself didn't taste anything special, and for the price I was expecting a little more from it. The sandwich, though, was really good. Everything was cooked perfectly: velvety runny egg, crunchy bacon, melted gouda (although I couldn't taste it much), and an earthy basil mayo. All the flavors worked really well together, and it was a solid-sized sandwich too. My biggest issue was the price. I spent over $20 here, and honestly I feel like I could make a sandwich and coffee similar to this at home for cheaper and probably better.

I love the space, with its high ceilings, comfortable seating, and robust Wi-Fi, making it a wonderful place to work or just get together. And oh yeah, the coffee. Foundry makes a great regular roast and works hard to make outstanding artisanal coffee drinks. Even a hot cup of cocoa is done just right and pairs spectacularly with many of their pastry offerings. Another perk is Foundry's proximity to the pond and walking paths at Sar-Ko Park. I have been known to get my coffee and then walk across the parking lot to one of the benches in front of the pond, just a serene experience watching the ducks on pleasant mornings. I highly recommend a piece of their cinnamon coffee cake to accompany your coffee. Pro tip: get it warmed up. Prices are standard for similar fare elsewhere but the value is in the friendly service and welcoming space. There is a really solid kids' play area (with an age limit) giving families with littles a great option. Enjoy the park scene or just unwind in their space or on their patio and enjoy Foundry!

This local spot is located in the little historic Lenexa downtown, which is itself somewhat hidden away now that the Lenexa Public Market is open and draws folks that way. Coming to this stretch of suburbia feels charming and quaint, and I love that there is a really fantastic local coffee shop nestled into this shopping center. Now onto what makes this place so special. There are tons of great cafes in Kansas City, but what sets Maps apart from the pack is that they roast their own beans in house and they are all super fresh. You can taste the difference in the brew and it's a nice change of pace to have something a bit different since many of the local spots in town use the same local roasters. Once you find out about Maps you'll start to notice other cafes and restaurants that use their beans. It's not as many as say, Messenger, but Maps holds their own in this arena. They also make their own chocolate! And when I say make, I mean make. They actually make the chocolate bars and not just the candies. Even more impressive, it's damn good chocolate. Honestly, if you haven't been to this spot and have a love for coffee and/or chocolate it's well worth a visit. The cherry on top for me is how unpretentious the entire place is. You'll feel welcome, and the staff working will be happy to chat your ears off about their products. 5/5 for me!

The coffee itself tasted fine, but nothing about the flavor stood out, especially considering the price.
