5 ***** service in everything from friendliness, sanitation, nail polish selection, massage chairs, all around great service. 1) Customer Service is awesome. Anne and the other ladies knows how to greet and treat customers. Anne knows all her regular customers by name. When I call to make an appt and she knows who I am and knows I'm looking for Tai. 2) They sanitize all equipment. 3) They just got new messaging chairs that make you feel like your in heaven. 4) I recommend Tai she always does a superb job at my pedicure and manicures. She takes her time and always gives me a wonderful message. 5) The prices are a tad bit higher than other salons but you will get what you pay for - 5 star quality! 6) Nail polish selection is excellent of superior quality. The polish has lasted me up to 3 weeks. Of course the gel last longer... my nails always outgrow the polish. 7) Ambiance is relaxing...soft music plays, not like the common nail salon where the workers are speaking to each other loudly. 8) Anne also does threading, waxing, and facials. Got my first threading by Anne today.... talk about a perfectionist! I use to do waxing but I realized some years back my skin is to sensitive for that. Although she always did a nice job. This place it's the best! They make you feel in paradise, facials pedicures,nails, waxing... God I only wish they would do your hair too.. It's worth every penny, don't even think it's too pricey, these girls take their time taking care of you and make worth EVERY PENNY. This is what I miss the most about LA county. Especially when it's so close to my family's place. It's so cozy and friendly, they do every design you want or they can be creative and do something amazing! Came here twice already and both times for gel manicure. This place does a good job! I always get cut when they do my cuticles at any nail salon, but this is the FIRST time I didn't get cut. That's always a plus in my book. The color selection for gel manicure isn't a lot compared to other places I've been to. $25 without tip. i tried day spa based on the rave reviews and it lived up to my expectations. i got my gel mani done by ann and my pedi done by lana. im really picky with my gel manis and ann didnt disappoint. she took her time and made sure her work was perfection. at first she didn't file my nails as short as i like them and i had a chipped nail and she didn't cut the entire chipped edge because she wanted to keep it symmetrical, but it would probably get caught onto something during the week and rip off. so i asked her to cut the chipped piece and just make that nail shorter and round in that corner and also file all nails shorter. she did it without hesitation and didnt once make me feel like i was a pest which is what most ladies would do based on my mani/pedi experience of 18+ years. my nude colored gel mani turned out to be an A- mani, which is almost perfect! it was not thick, well colored without leaving much of the tips and edges unpainted, cuticles well cut and nails well shaped. lana also took her time with my pedi and did a great job with cuticles, buffing, file shaping and callus removal. paint job looked great too, but upon closer inspection there were a few nails that were smudged. overall a B job. so why did i give it a 3 stars versus 4.5 stars? IT WAS OVERPRICED. one of the most expensive gel manis ive had- $30. they charged $5 for gel removal (ive been to at least 10 places that dont charge for this and my go-to spots in OC do not) and $25 for the gel mani itself, which is also overpriced in this area as well as compared to OC/ brea. spa pedi was $16 + $5 for callus removal, which is reasonable. but i wont be returning solely based on the gel mani price plus removal. i spent over $60 (with tip) which is beverly hills pricing in el monte! so unfortunate because babysitting is in the area and i am a regular (maintenance every 14-18 days) when i find a place i like. read more

I stumbled upon Day Nails when I first moved to El Monte. Everyone was really nice. The shop was very clean and the ladies very friendly. Didn't go back for a month or so and when I returned Anne greeted me by my first name! Needless to say I've been a customer for 7 years and recommend Day Nails to everyone. read more

Ann is a fantastic manicurist but the service in the shop is not great. They often over schedule appointments. Although,I love the way she does my nails I can't handle the wait sometimes. Making an appointment is useless because they prioritize on walk-in customers. The prices keep going up and for the area and the service it isn't always worth it. If you are looking for a good manicurist I recommend Ann but if you dislike waiting I suggest you go somewhere else. read more

I just moved to this area this salon is a couple of blocks from my house since i needed a refill I went in. The two ladies were nice I was seen fast my daughter 11 got her eyebrows waxed. But while she was getting her eye brows waxed one of ladies from the staff said why do you get her eyebrows done she is too little!! I just Ignored it and laughed it off because I didn't want to get into the its my child shut up lady thing. I got my refill done which took her almost 2 hours I'm not kidding i don't know what she was doing. At check out they charged me $40.00 which meant my refill was $30.00 and my daughters wax was $10.00 plus tip I think its a ridiculous price to change $30.00 for a refill I had asked her how much it was before i started the process she said $15.00 for a refill her excuse was that i had asked for white tip! White tip is $15.00??? she said i took 2 hours doing your nails!! Omg So if they charge per hour they should say that at the beginning!!! i was very disappointed not because i paid $30.00 for a refill but because i felt like they lied i have paid alot of money to get my nails done before but never had i been lied too about the price i will never go back there EVER!! read more
