Many HVAC contractors responded, but John at Davis Temp Control was the only contractor that provided actually provided pricing and an available time to do the work. Other contractors needed more information or wanted to set up an appointment before providing pricing (the project description was straight forward). John did what he said he would do and was VERY responsive. Following best practices, I decided to add more to the order by adding a blow out valve and run the drain line through the attic with a condensate pump. A part needed to be ordered by Precision, so we waited...and waited...and got no response back from Precision about when the job would be completed, despite many calls. I'll spare you the details, but Precision majorly failed us and wouldn't get back to us about when they could complete the job. So, I reached out to Davis Temp Control and John immediately responded. He would order the part Precision said we needed and he would be over as soon as it got in. When the part arrived, it was the WRONG PART! John got the right part and was back the next day to finish the job. He was communicative via text, phone and email and his price was about $100 less than Precision. My AC started leaking on Sunday night and I was really worried about mold damage. I used Yelp to get quotes for help and John was the only one who had looked at the pictures I sent and provided a clear explanation. He was able to show up first thing on Monday morning, and not just fixed the issue but also took the time to rewire the shutoff switch so that this wouldn't happen again. He showed me how it worked and tested it right in front of me so that I could be confident if this happened again it wouldn't cause a problem. He then also took the time to explain to me how to prevent this from happening in the future by pouring vinegar into drain pipe every time I change the filter. I generally keep my house about 80 degrees during the day and turn the AC down before I go to bed. About 11 PM on September 5th I turned on the AC and nothing happened. I looked to Yelp for help. Despite the late hour, Davis not only responded by message, they set up and appointment for the next day (they were also were up front about the service call charge). Business owner arrived in response to initial contact exactly as he said (within hours of first contact), he efficiently diagnosed problem, and located replacement condenser coil. He made AC system work temporarily for clients' comfort overnight. He said he'd be back at 7 AM the following morning to complete final repair, and he was at our door at 2 minutes before 7 AM.
