From the greeting, service and pricing nothing was great about the place. We weren't offered any thing to drink. My nail technician rushed through my manicure, she was hard on my nails, and did not pay attention to detail. I got the dip manicure and it came out super rough and bumpy. She went to get the hot towel to finish the service I had to tell her the issues as she didn't even care enough to look at her work. When she finished fixing the nails she didn't even bother to walk and get a fresh hot towel. She used the cold towel that was sitting there. Just no care into the work she was doing what so ever. I've been coming here since 2014 and love it. It's tucked next to World Market and Whole Foods. The interior feels luxurious-plush French Rococo seating and design in their waiting room and the the spa looks like an exotic world mix. There is always an aesthetician at front desk smiling and waiting to take your "order". I always pick the ultimate pedicures because for me, coming here is like a treat that I want to lavish in. I LOVE these flavors: Honey and Milk ALL of the citrus ones, including orange Rose and Champagne They include a 15 or 20 min back and neck massage which is always incredible. And they give you feet/leg massages. The bowls/tanks for your feet are always covered in a disposable plastic sheet for sanitation and the tools they use are a 1-time use. Very large nailpolish selection. Easy to pick since they number the colors on a swatch. I also bring my own base polish for strengthening and they have no problem using it. I didn't feel welcomed nor did my tech respect my time. She was moving so fast as if me being a guest was not important enough. Everyone was offered drinks & a relaxing time. I was moved around twice. Never asked if I was good or not. I had to tell the tech constantly to fix something. I originally wanted ombré but she made it clear it's no happening..I'm assuming she just didn't know how to. My nails are currently super basic & I'm not happy at all. I've been to this salon a few times, and they've done a good job, albeit pricey. However, when I went on Monday I tried dip powder for the first time as an end of the school year treat. The pedicure was fine, though she snipped some skin on one toe, but the powder nails are so thick I can barely use my nails. I know I've never done it before, but my coworker has dipped nails and they are much thinner. Also, on Wednesday, after taking my shoes and socks off after a workout, the polish on two nails was completely gone. I spent over $80 on my nails, and I am definitely not feeling like I've gotten my money's worth. I'm very disappointed, and I would go back and ask them to fix it, but by the time I can get childcare, it will have been too long since the original service. They were very nice and very clean, but I'm already ready to have my nail polish taken off and it has been 4 days. I can't pick up small items with my nails and changing my 1 year old's diaper is challenging because I can't use my nails to grab the tab easily. read more

I dropped off my girlfriend in this salon and while I waited on the next chair, the hostess offered me some drinks and that was really nice. After waiting a few minutes I was offered to get a pedicure and a shoulder massage and I declined but then my gf said to get one so I said ok. Holy shit it was an awesome experience, and it looks like I'll be coming back to get another one with my gf the next time she goes. Horrible experience and will never go back. A dip MANICURE is just that. A manicure. Never once were my cuticles pushed or cut. I had to ask for them to be felt with at the end and was not informed that would be extra until I'm checking out. There was no manicure in it at all. Just put the nails on and done. I specifically told them what i needed when i got there as I'm a nurse and very hard on my hand but they completely disregarded this. The pedicure was great. Owner/supervisor that was there was rude and degrading instead of trying to understand where her clients were coming from. Will never return! read more

Horrible, my feet feel like sandpaper now, they cut me twice and I always get an overlay on my big toes and one was crooked. This is definitely not an Italian salon. No Italians work there, and if they did, the tacky decor would drive them crazy... Think too much gold and black. Why not call it Saigon or Far East and keep it organic to the ladies who work there? Speaking of the work that goes on - they took nail polish off fingers and toes. Rosie, who adeptly worked on my feet, did her job. The woman who worked on my hands did the barest minimum. A dry manicure, using a cuticle softener rather than a soak, left much to be desired, and after her first half-hearted go round, I had to ask that she do it again. I also asked for a buffing rather than polish, as my nails needed a bit of a breather. Again, half hearted work. For this they charged $44. Next time, if I ever go back, it would be for feet only. There are MUCH better places to spend my hard earned money. read more

Pros: The decor is nice. The woman on the phone that I made an appointment with was kind and efficient. Cons: No personality in the staff that dies the nails. No rules on cell phone use do I hit to listen to chimes, rings and loud animated phone conversations my entire appointment. Technician was very rushed and had a very ugly attitude when I asked about pushing back my cuticles vs cutting them. Shellac on my nails took about ten minutes, no massage, no cleaning up nails. The while experience felt rushed. There was no line and I had made my appointment the day before do there's no excuse. They advertise as a more luxurious nail experience and I just couldn't disagree more. The prices are high and if it hasn't been for my coupon, I would have been even more disappointed. There are just too many salons in the area to give my repeat business to this chain. Off to find a salon that deserves my loyalty! read more

I've been to all the Royale Retreat locations in Katy and never had any issues. Every time I went I would get the POSH Pedicure. This time I decided to get solar full set and my manicurist Ann did an amazing job! I told her I wanted it to look natural since it was part of my company's policy. She took her time and made sure to file it down and made it thin for me. The lady that did my posh pedicure, Trang, this time also did and amazing job! She took her time to massage my legs and feet. It was a very relaxing experience. I truly love the store's atmosphere, because it's very calming and quiet so it truly gives me a chance to relax after a long week at work. It disappoints me to write this review, I had been a customer of this salon for several years and was mostly taken care of by Jasmine (one of the owners), she had always been relatively nice, however one day I was running about 10 minutes behind on my appointment when I came in I was greeted by an upset and frustrated Jasmine, she was rude and indifferent, and with attitude told me that I had to pick something really quick because she was short staffed, her receptionist had not showed up. I chose the classic spa pedicure. It was 27 dollars. I tipped the girl 3 dollars because she did do the work. It was the worst "Basic" pedicure i ever got. It consists of a foot soak and painting of your toes. It says light callus work but it's basically nonexistent. I called the place to ask the cost of an acrylic refill and was told $27 not a bad price but when I received my receipt it was $35 and I ask why and was told we have a "+" after the $27 so we charged because I had longer nails and the coffin shape...I explained that I had them cut down and I already had the coffin shape I'm just getting a refill...she said well we can charge whatever if it's more work ... But the charge for shaping or the amount of time is nowhere on the chart, mind you I had a basic pedicure and they were done about the same time...BOTTOMLINE they are not ethical about pricing details and the attitude "I can charge whatever" is not how you do business.
